Appearance & Personality

Height: 6 Fulm 6 Ilm

Weight & Build: About 190 Ponze; Her figure is shapely, but lithe. Lined with muscle beneath her curves.

Complexion: Beneath her salve she is very fair skinned, much lighter than her Father or Siblings who carried the darker Duskwight skintone. She took after her mother with her peach tinted porcelain hues. Odeve's actual skintone is rarely seen as she's been darkening and dying her flesh with a special salve since her early teenage years, offering a hearty bronze gleam to her full body.

Hair: A short golden bob woven into her fair platinum/silver hair. A weve made of dyed and tempered Golden Fleece tufts.

Eyes: Bright golden eyes, the brightest in her family whom mostly carried dull gray, black, or darkened gold eyes.

Small Details:

  • She has a thin, but obviously deep scar by it's dark coloring along her eighth rib, or second false rib. With the contour of her breast it simply appears as a shadow. The scar was placed by her late husband during the scuffle that inevitably lead to his death by her hand, his needle like dagger forced in along the bone and lodged between the ribs only for split second. The wound took a long time healing, but during the process she was out of commission mourning the death of her daughter.
  • Two beauty marks spot her bronze skin, one dotted atop her right cheek bone, the other sitting below the left corner of her mouth. She also has very feint freckles, unnatural and placed by tattooing sometime earlier in her life.

Clothing by Day: When the fiery Eorzean sun shone on Ul'dah you'll find Odeve in the lightest, but safest armor she can put together for the day, week, or however long she plans to use it. Usually heavily covered on her torso, hands, and feet she may leave her legs uncovered and open to accentuate her long feminine form for onlookers and possible customers for the oncoming night.

Clothing by Night: When the sun settles and the Moon takes hold of the night's sky Mother Larille is on the prowl. Whether hired by day for a nice and tidy assassination, or beckoned to an inn room Odeve is wearing a black hempen full bodied set around the city of thieves. Long thigh reaching boots and her gloves of choice, the outfit is specifically chosen for it's ease of removal and tight fitting nature. She doesn't often have a quiet night. With Ru Ru accompanying her she remains in her day-wear while teaching the young apprentice her craft.

Biography

Childhood

Lucky enough to be granted an easy early life as a part of a simple Gridanian farming family. A group of woodworkers and foragers. Her mother and father fed she and her four other siblings with what gil they could scrape together with their findings and well honed craft. Though usually they would trade their findings/makings for needs over currency itself. Odeve knows well the pangs of hunger pain and has known how it feels to need over want.

Teenage

  • Age 12-16Blessed with her parents' carpentry skills she spent a large amount of her early teenage years working the craft to perfection and quickly rising above her other siblings in the amount of money brought in. An arrogant teen, Odeve felt herself far too skilled for the simple life and wished to move onto a location more exciting and prosperous. A chance meeting with an interested Amalj'aa tradesman sealed the deal and from 16 on she was estranged from her family.
  • Age 16-20The night of their departure her beastly suitor took her as his own and for the next four years she lived and loved with the Amalj'aa tradesman. Never exchanging names, or even the slightest bit of history. She continued her craft in his daily absence and they lived well for some time. He schooled her in the ways of hand to hand combat, and in the growing years he taught her a new craft. She became his new money making technique, a young and naive Elezen girl right for the taking for a few thousand gil a night. A normal occurrence this became and though she loathed it at first, the job became second nature within a very short period of time. Around Twenty years of age she began to work by her own methods, taking her customers by any gender and even travelling from time to time, attending social gatherings and using her earnings to further her physical alterations. The folk of Ul'dah found a Wildwood much more of a prize than the dull and darkened Duskwights. The time came where she'd found the one. Her one. Ursulien. He was a quiet, rich and charismatic Duskwight male, seeing right through her charade. Knowing one of his own even in her heavily altered state.
  • Age 20-30 Odeve and Ursulien wed once they'd paid off their debt to her Beastman Caretaker turned Captor, adding a large group of downtrodden and desperate women to his harem. Most of them taught by Odeve.. Earning her the nicknames Mother Odeve, then Mother Larille once married. A Mother far before she was in a family way. She and her new Husband moved into the city walls and within three months she was with child. Roelle Larille was born into a prosperous and happy family. Never wanting for food or clothing, never without a moment of love.
  • Age 30-35 After fifteen happy years with her husband and beloved little girl, Odeve felt her heart strained and in her older age and growing wisdom she felt the calling to see her family. Hearing many a rumor of violence led by the Ixali in Gridania. Unsure of how much longer, if much at all, her parents may have held, she departed from her home to the newly dangerous Black Shroud. Leaving her daughter within the safe arms of Ursulien, or so she thought. Once arriving in Grid and after much word of mouth and many wayward misdirection's she finally found the burrow her family had moved to. Siblings all gone and only her mother and father still left, she found their greeting surprisingly welcoming. Her mother was so heavily aged, but as beautiful as ever. Her father however was very, very ill. Odeve sent word to her husband and child that she would have to remain in Gridania for a few months, caring for her father on his death bed. After the third month of receiving no word back, and her father passing after only a month and a half into her visit she was terribly worried over the silence back home. Leaving her mother with a hefty amount of gil and no real detail into the life she'd lived after she left, she headed back to her home of Ul'dah to find no sign of her fellow Larilles' anywhere.
  • Age 35 With no good word coming from her asking around and begging the powers that be for information on her family, Odeve found herself returning to the usual stomping grounds of her long ignored past. The Amalj'aa tradesmen who'd taken her in so long ago. She found him in the market's streets with his herd manning the stalls whilst he looked on from behind, keeping the ne'er do wells from harming his items, or his women. Their relationship hadn't dulled even with the hardships they'd put each other through and she begged him for information. Roelle wasn't a named he'd known, but Ursulien was one he couldn't forget. He mentioned to her that the Duskwight had sold him his newest belle whom he'd traded only a couple weeks later to a deep pocketed man. That was the only information she needed. The beastman pointed her in the right direction and she went for Ursulien with knuckles clenched. Finding him in the arms of the typical barmaids and quite inebriated. After a drunken argument on his end and a few punches thrown on hers, she dragged her unfaithful husband to the alleyway beside The Quicksand.. Where after obtaining the needed information, the above noted scuffle ensued and Odeve Larille in a fit of rage ended the life of Ursulien Larille. Leaving the findings for her once again befriended tradesman to take care of.
  • Age 35-40 For five years Odeve searched for her daughter, every lead she found ended cold as each slave driver she got her hands on had recently moved his or her girls to a new merchant. It wasn't until the worst happened that Odeve finally found her beloved Roelle. The lifeless body of her daughter left on the floor of an inn room not far from her own home.. Having fled to find her mother's embrace, but denying the wrong customer a few too many times. Wounded and empty Odeve found herself falling into the unhealthy cycle of drinking and selling herself to get by for the next seven years.

Present

In the more recent years Odeve found her previous skills lending a bit of ease to the life of a Sellsword, something she'd never quite found the interest in until the death of her husband. With her knowledge in knuckles she also took to learning the blade.. And poisons. One of many black widows in the streets of Ul'dah, luring in her victims to an untimely death.. Or simply a night of information gathering and passion. She lives carefree, for the gil and the hunt. Never turning down a chance at something to keep her pockets lined.
*A small female Lalafell named Ru Ru recently joined her party, living with Odeve as an apprentice to her art and an honestly dear friend.
