Character

General

P'lha was born somewhere on the plains of Thanalan. She left her tribe in her late teens, taken by wanderlust or maybe some vague dissatisfaction at the mating options. Eventually she found herself living in Gridania, working as a smith and a general problem solver. She claims to have been living there since before the Cataclysm, though if you ask the locals they can't verify her story.

Appearance

A small flame haired Miqo'te, she stands at just under five feet tall, although her ears tend to make her appear a good deal taller. Her skin is tanned, and firm muscles can be seen beneath. She has a tendency to appear unkempt, her hair often cut short with what appears to be a sword. She has a round face and large green eyes, giving her a youthful appearance well below her real age. She bears a cat's whisker birthmark on her cheeks, and often paints them in to match her hair. She favors wearing armor when out of the city, not seeming to mind the discomfort. Otherwise, she sticks to simple styles, often little more than a shirt, slacks and some sandals.

Behavior

A flighty creature, she avoids crowds most of the time. She's happiest just wandering around and exploring by herself. But when she does feel sociable, she is boisterous, as if feeling a need to live life to it's fullest. When speaking, she talks rapidly and has difficulty staying on topic. She is very physical, touching or bumping into others while she talks with them, and seems to consider boxing and sparring as play. But most would appreciate it if you answer 'no' when she asks if she can hit someone, as she's much stronger than her frame might suggest.

Her memory appears to be slipping, and she has trouble with names. As a result she will often address everyone she meets by some nickname or title. The stories she tells of her past vary wildly and are often contradictory. When it comes to business though, there is a sharp seriousness to her, and it takes a wily negotiator to get her concede a price.

Combat

She has experience with the sword and shield, and rarely travels without being fully armed and armored.

Rumors

Common Rumors

  • She's a bit of a ditz.
  • She has a short temper.

Moderate Rumors

  • She only recently arrived in Gridania, despite her claims.

Rare Rumors

  • She was once bannished from Ul'dah for dying the water in all the fountains pink.

PC Rumors

  • She is the greatest smith in all of Eorzea. Greater even than the mighty Hammerhands of La Noscea who built the great sea gates with their bare hands. More skilled than the royal Ul'dan blacksmith, who forged the Sultan's personal armor. More subtle than the Shadowforge of Gridania, whose are works are so discrete most have never even heard of them. Why, anyone who anybody has to have heard of the great P'lha Tahl.
