She will very rarely be caught in public without makeup. She doesn't wear much, sticking to natural tones, but always has some hint of makeup on her face. Her voice is smooth and charming, with a slight accent from her homeland that intensifies when she is excited or upset.

Her name is a combination of her mother Morienne's favorite songbird and flower, the Dravanian Piper and the Lily, respectively.

History

Piper was born and raised in the city of Ishgard. While not of noble birth, her family lived reasonably and with respectable affluence. Her father, Friedrich, worked as an Archivist for the city's libraries. Morienne, her mother, was a young socialite and homemaker. The family lived happily most years, though Morienne was constantly in ill health. She died in the winter of Piper's eighth year, leaving her grieving family reeling. Friedrich withdrew into his work, leaving young Piper to her own devices. She grew lonely and detached, often keeping to herself in her father's extensive personal collection of rare and valuable books. At sixteen, her father left the world as well; while not an old man, he'd neglected his health in the years following his wife's death. With no other family to speak of and her inheritance too little to keep afloat, Piper was left with little option. She reluctantly sold away the remaining estate and left Ishgard to find work as a trader, utilizing what she'd picked up her father's knowledge and her mother's charm and feminine wiles.

Ten years later, she has become a prominent supplier of the rare and exotic books her father taught her to appreciate, all while quietly rebuilding his collection she was forced to give up. During her time based in Ul'dah she meets a variety of people, some coming to be close friends and even lovers, but it seems most of her relationship eventually fade into the memory. After some time in Ul'da, she returns to Ishgard to pursue studies in Sharlayan Astrology, something in which she had found great solace during her youth. After several months absence and completing her courses, she has finally completed her courses and returned to Gridania.

Now, Piper runs a small but extensive library from her personal collection out of an academy in the Lavender Beds. Though she has set down roots for the first time in years, the pull of travel still calls and she can often be found out and about in Ul'dah as well as travelling as far as Ishgard. (WIP)
