Appearance
R'kyala is short, even for a Miquo'te, at only four fulms eleven ilms. Her hair is reddish brown, and she prefers to keep it cut fairly short or tied up. She has a round face, grey-green eyes and freckles.
Personality
Boisterous, precocious, headstrong, confident. R'kyala has a positive outlook on life. Her confidence sometimes gets her in trouble, and “Ready, Fire, Aim,” could describe the way she gets into many of her adventures. She loves mysteries, hidden treasure and so on, and often goes digging around in ruins and caves to see what she finds.
Background
R'kyala grew up in a town populated by Sunseeker Miquo'te in the middle of the Sagolii desert. She was the middle child of fifteen siblings and half siblings. Her mother was an armorer, and her father a warrior who became Nunh. While she loved her family dearly, she desperately wanted to see the world beyond the desert, and so on her sixteenth nameday, with only the clothes on her back and a bow she had received from her father, she hitched a ride with a Lalafell trader caravan bound for Ul'dah.
Ul'dah had its wonders, but the real draw for the young R'kyala was the lush forests of Gridania and the Black Shroud. Not long after arriving in Gridania, R'kyala met a young Hyur named Camille Everardi. The pair quickly became inseparable and took up archery together, and eventually traveled together to Limsa Lominsa.

Family:
R'mahji Nunh: R'kyala's father, a warrior and current leader of the Raptor tribe town R'kyala hails from. He is skilled with the bow, and taught R'kyala the basics as a child. He seems very aloof, but genuinely cares for his family and children, and all his tribe for that matter.
R'haika Yahn: R'kyala's mother, in her younger days was an armorer and skilled hunter who would roam the Sagolii alone or with small groups for days at a time. In later years she calmed much, but her wild side still shows now and then, especially when her children get out of hand. Despite settling down as a mother, she still tinkers with armor, mostly making ceremonial or decorative pieces.

Camille Everardi :
R'Kyala's best friend since she arrived in Gridania. The pair are inseparable, and R'kyala often drags her friend on her various (mis)adventures. Camille is a good sport, and offers a calm complement to R'kyala's boisterous nature.
Valena Verloren : Camille's older half-sister. R'kyala doesn't know her terribly well as she just recently reappeared after being displaced five years in the calamity. However, R'kyala admires and likes her and wants to get to know her better.
Reppu Hijiri : Leader of the Winds group, an affiliate of Crystalline. A high class lady exiled from Othard and a good friend.
