Basic Info
Physical Description: Raih'a has the white hair and lilac eyes common amongst his family line. He is of average height for a Miqo'te and is quite agile, which his wiry frame shows. He is capable of moving quickly and silently if need be, and takes great pleasure in sneaking up on people unawares- or at least seeing how close he can get before being spotted.
Dress Style: His dress style tends toward casual and comfortable. He doesn't pay much attention to color co-ordination however, so often his outfits can sometimes look a little mismatched.
Scars: Raih'a has several scars, most notably from the family's fatal encounter with the Ixal fourteen years ago. He has several visible scars across his arms and torso which look to have been caused by sharp blades, and a scar to his left thigh from an encounter with a Coeurl five years ago.
Combat: Raih'a is an archer and quite proficient with the use of the bow. His strengths lie in ambush tactics and fighting from a distance, making him a better hunter and marksman than body guard. Though he is capable of defending himself in close quarters with a knife, he much prefers to fight from range, preferably alongside a partner who can keep the target busy while he attacks from a more suitable vantage point. For both hunting and combat he prefers the quiet elegance of the bow, though he has he has recently been learning to wield the guns and explosives of the Machinist's guild.
History
Raih'a was born and raised as a member of a traditional Keeper family in the Black Shroud. Growing up, the clan was fraught with tension, mostly due to the imposing and dictatorial nature of the clan Matriarch, whom Riah'a despised for her overbearing and bullying ways. As a result he had a rather strained relationship with many of his relatives, as they often had with each other. However, he was close to his older sister, Cibu, and her children, particularly her youngest son, Cibu'to.
Fourteen years ago the clan was attacked by a band of Ixal. Many were killed, including the reigning Matriarch and her eldest daughter. Raih'a survived the attack as he had been absent from their village with his youngest nephew, Cibu'to. When the roaming band of Ixal first came their way, he and his nephew thought them to be a normal hunting party, and attempted to draw them away from the camp before they could accidentally stumble on it. But they were only partially successful, and while they spent several days evading the group which tracked them, the remaining Ixal converged on the camp. Raih'a and Cibu'to arrived to find a massacre, and his surviving sister and half-sister, fighting over who was to blame. In the aftermath, with all of the finger pointing and few known survivors, the clan scattered.
For a while, Raih'a travelled with his sister and surviving nephew, eventually settling in Limsa Lominsa, where they remained until the Calamity struck. The chaos caused by that disaster separated what remained of his immediate family for good, and he was unable to find either of them even after the dead had been counted.
So Raih'a took to the road again, working as a hunter, scout and guard for hire. For the most part he escorted travelers, trading caravans, and occasionally, traveling troupes back and forth across Eorzea. Several months ago he joined a venture traveling into Ishgard, and remained there for some time, enrolling in the Machinist's guild in the city.
More recently he has returned to the Black Shroud, to the place of his birth, after tavern talk in Ishgard inflamed in him a desire to finally return home.
