Character
General
Reinhardt, or "Vahn" as he goes by, is a Doctor and Aetheric Researcher from the north. His calculative nature is shown through in all of his interactions thus far in Eorzea. He is most noteable for the fact that his facial expression never really seems to change. Any hint of expression is a rarity, as he appears to maintain a near scultured version of a Hyur face upon him at all times. Calm, collected, and well spoken, the Doctor goes about seeking knowledge from other scholarly individuals to better understand the Aether, most in partcular, understanding the Tempered and how to liberate them from Primal binds.
Appearance
Reinhardt is a very clean gentleman of very little noteable features that sets him apart from other Midland Hyur. Standing at roughly six folms, he is of a rather athletic build for being a scholar, an indicator that he does some forms of exercise to support the field work he finds himself in. His skin is relatively pale, but in very good condition. No blemishes, nor scars are on his person which could oft make it questionable that he is as traveled as he mentions. Fair colored locks of platinum and sun kissed white gold are typically well kept in a shoft cut and slicked back with a slightly fragrant wax that provide a subtle scent of citrus and lavender. A scent that may mostly be picked up by those with a higher sense of smell. His sharp set of eyes are a very light color of hazel but have since been masked with specks of gold that, upon close inspection, can be seen to be moving about on the surface of his eyes. A good sign that he is under aetheric influence or has aetheric talent of some kind. A slight bit of facial hair marks his chin, the collection of the above making for a rather well chiseled Hyur face with little setting it apart from others of his race. With the lack of facial expression it tends to don, it is quite easily forgotten.
He often has an additional scent of ether about him, this mostly being from it's consumption which he does routinely. Without any indication as to why.
Behavior
Calm...
Reinhardt appears to maintain a level of calm no matter what the circumstances provide. This level of calm can even be unnerving in many situations where his demeanor may not seem to have any sign of change. If necessary, he will take a moment to analyze and assess situations before engaging them.
Calculating...
Analysis appears to be what Reinhardt does. Always watching, calculating, and analyzing situations before engaging them to the fullest extent. It is rare to see Reinhardt break this trend even in the most hectic or stressful situations. It's an aspect of him that seems to never yield, and he will take as much time as he needs to separate himself from a situation to get a better advantage.
Deliberate...
Nothing Reinhardt does is without reason. All movements, motions, gazes and displays are with purpose and delibration. There is nothing about what he does that is not calm, calculated, and measured for use. Execution is key, as it determines the outcome of all of the other calculations he may make for a given situation. All movements are conservative, utilizing just the right amount of energy needed. Nothing is wasted, overly flourished, nor overly complicated. It is just as it should be.

At present, not much is known regarding Reinhardt's, or "Vahn's", preferred combat method. It is notable that he has some magical talent, but it has not been exposed to a great degree. He appears to be relatively passive to combat.

Xheja is an intelligent, sharp minded, and academic individual whom Reinhardt had a rather chance meeting with in Ul'Dah. Their academic partnership has grown swiftly through their rather serendipitous shared interests of aetheric research and matters of alchemical application. Reinhardt has never ceased to be impressed with Xheja's contributions to their combined research and sees her as a valuable partner in further understanding of aetheric anomalies and the application of crystals in medical advancement. Her keen intellect in field research and her adaptability in the world of business matters are what set her apart from others he has met, proving to him she is a powerful ally in many ways. Xheja and Reinhardt have recently begun a psuedo-business venture in which he has provided her with the formulae of a medicinal salve for which she can utilize her knowledge of cosmetology to provide a much better more manageable method of administering medicine to refugees. A contribution that Reinhardt is hard pressed in knowing how to repay her for. Reinhardt hopes to have many more research ventures with Xheja in the future, as he much enjoys their fair trade of knowledge.
The Tomial Order
A group of warriors, merchants, and healers with whom Reinhardt has grown to associate with. Despite their rather obscure suspicions of his intentions, he finds himself in their hearth for his research as a base of operations. As it gets tiring for him to spend lots of money on Inn rooms, he has been offered their space for some of his equipment. He relies on them as more of a client than he does as their typical order member. Their strength in arms is appropriate for protecting him on his field research, as well as offering him some of their arcane talents for learning more on mixed application medical research.
A rather jaunty Highlander woman with whom Reinhardt has shared somewhat of a research venture with. Her knowledge on utilizing the bodies on aether in the arts of the Ala Mhigan monks has proven to be a point of interest for Reinhardt. Additionally, her ability to command elements in combat is somewhat of an additional knowledge that Reinhardt finds interest in. They have met in mock combat, and Reinhardt has been impressed by her ability to command her body and aether together. Her willingness to help the needy despite how perilous the venture is, is something that resonates to him. Though as little as both Kelsa and Reinhardt know of one another, Reinhardt still views the Highlander as a fellow colleague seeking more knowledge on their art.
