A strikingly beautiful miqo’te and self-proclaimed “Treasure Hunter”, seeker of wealth and glory. Formerly a songstress and dancer, she was motivated to pursue a different path during the age of adventure, she now explores for artifacts or other treasure, but is quite willing to undertake supplementary jobs.

Religion/philosophy: Remilia harbors feelings of disinterest, and occasional animosity towards the Twelve. Never having been brought up on the various teachings of the followers of the Twelve, she can only look at those who do offer their devotion with feelings of discontent, and those who preach their feelings quickly earning her ire. Remilia is firm in her own beliefs, that the powers the twelve hold falls short of what their worshippers seem to believe, and after witnessing the events of Dalamud her opinions have near enough been set in stone.

  • Remilia, in order to avoid the complicated issues of people’s faith and them questioning her own, often chooses to claim devotion to Menphina, the Lover, because there is no stronger force than Love.

Abilities

Remi White Mage
  • Marksmanship (Musketeer/Archery) – A skilled shot with firearms, and near equivalent with a bow, her preference lies with the former although she’s equally comfortable using both. Capable of shooting while mounted, various trick shots and a few hidden techniques from years of simply toying with the weapons, she’s quite capable of placing herself within the skill bracket of accomplished shooters. Marksmanship is her primary combat style, which she supplements with her magicks and martial arts (detailed in brief below).
  • Restorative, Protective & Support Magick (White Mage, Bardic Music) – The ability to make use of restorative magic manifested itself in Remilia as a child; it was her natural talent and her gift, one inherited from her blood mother. As time passed her skill grew with her, in a way that felt as natural as eating and breathing, it was only in the past few winters that her interest in the potential held by magicks deepened and pushed her into study. Of all of her abilities, her skill with supportive magick is her strongest, though it usually takes a bit of a back-seat due to her preference for shooting.
  • Hand-to-Hand Combat (Monk) – Initially introduced into the world of close quarters combat by her childhood friend, she found herself well suited for the style, her dancing and performing career had strengthened her muscles and enabled her to quickly learn even complicated maneuverers. Making use of kicks and punches came much more naturally to her than most other weapon types, often feeling clunky and inelegant in comparison, and seemed the perfect complimentary style for when aggressors got too close to make her other techniques less viable.
  • Destructive Magicks (Black Magic) – Remilia’s skills with Black magic are on the whole ordinary. Her study into the arts has been relatively short, and she found that she preferred other techniques during combat. However, she has found a use for the elements in her day to day life, utilizing what she does know for casual day-to-day practicality. She has a particular fondness for the elements of Ice and Electricity.
  • Athletics – Always an agile and light-footed individual, her childhood was spent with much of her time climbing trees, rocks or other formations in the twelveswood. This transitioned into dance as she grew up, and while her career as an adventurer only started recently, her quick paced footwork and graceful steps puts her on par with seasoned veterans.
  • Singing – While her days are an entertainer are something she is putting behind herself, Remilia still finds pleasure in singing, even if it’s to herself as little more than a whisper. Her soft, soothing voice can move those who hear it, their power is only further enhanced by the secrets of Bardic music.
  • Dancing – While the lesser of her two performances, Remilia is still an accomplished dancer. Specializing in the more ‘provocative’ dances having spent the last of her teen years working at the Mineral Concern to try and make ends meet. Her thorough education also included dance lessons, making her quite capable of more traditional dance styles.
  • Treasure Hunter Dilettante – While quite the novice, Remilia has picked up a handful of techniques during her short career as a “Treasure Hunter”. Capable of minor acts of stealth, guile and larceny. Tasks like picking a simple lock or moving quietly are within her realm of experience, but there are many who can quickly put her to shame at such things.


Less Useful:

  • While physically agile and quite strong, her threshold for pain is relatively low, and she doesn’t have the endurance for drawn out battles.
  • Quick to judge and label others, especially males, she’s unlikely to warm up to anyone of the opposite sex without a goal in mind. Although exceptions happen.
  • Prideful and stubborn, she refuses handouts and offers of charity, determined to make it under her own power. She only makes requests of those she trusts or considers good friends, but even then she would prefer to tough it out alone.
  • Remilia doesn’t have any particular skills or proficiencies in Disciples of the Hand or Land, her skill at needlework is amateur at best and others are best left unmentioned. She has the intention of learning the basics of Alchemy from her friend, Gospel Gestalt.


Appearance

Height: 5’4” – Tall amongst her fellow Miqo’te, but not the tallest.

Weight: 127 ponz.

Body: Her build is voluptuous, an hour glass figure, with pronounced hips and a slim waist, her body firmly toned but not noticeably muscular, with her most noticeable feature being her considerably larger than average bust size. Her hands and feet are on the slightly large side, something she feels a little conscious about.

Hair: Her hair is silken and black as night, accented with artificial streaks of blue to compliment her eye colour. Over the past few winters she has allowed her hair to grow out some. Trimmed to about neck length around the back to keep it out of the way, she has kept two long locks of hair that frame her face grow down, reaching her waist.

Eyes: Deep sea blue in colour, her absorbing eyes have often been described that one might lose themselves in her gaze.

Skin: Creamy smooth and snow white in complexion. Her fair skin bears no scratches, scars or blemishes. Even with her recent shift in career, her near flawless skin has had its soft touch maintained thanks in full to her restorative magick.

Scars/Markings: Bearing a small beauty mark under her left eye, Remilia quietly holds secret affection for the brand, as her birth mother had one in a similar place.

FelineAttributes:

  • Ears - Large and well groomed, her ears are her biggest weakness in betraying what she’s thinking or feeling.
  • Tail – Long and of purest black, she considers it one of her better features. Often in a down/neutral position, she learnt to move it in ways she desires, mostly so she could enhance the provocativeness of her dancing.
  • Fangs/Canines – Relatively normal for fangs of the Keepers of the Moon, they are slightly larger than most, but not noticeably so.

Voice: Mature/soft sounding, with clear pronunciation of words.

Clothes: Clothes that show off her ample bust and figure are those she values most. Low cut tops, short skirts or tight pants. Remilia isn’t embarrassed at wearing next to nothing, and does so on a regular basis.

Personality

Behaviours:

Remilia is one who has grown tired of the social etiquette, and seeks freedom in her behavior and speech, despite her apparent upper-class accent and mannerisms. Her nonchalant attitude towards people can often come across as a little jarring to some, and she’s not likely to hold back on her opinions or preferences.
When involved with large crowds, she’ll only lightly mingle choosing rather to observe and study what is going on around her. With too many people it becomes difficult or impossible to control situations, and it’s better not to waste effort trying.
Grounded, Pragmatic and Level-headed, Remilia is quick to analyse people she meets and enemies she might face. She’s greatly amused by people, and tries to coerce interesting reactions from those she meets with flirting and taunts. However, she is easily bored, highly irresponsible, lazy and can be very self-centred.
While eager to get to know others, she tends to keep most at arm’s length or more. She has had too many people she’s come to love disappear on her, and quietly can’t bear such feelings again.


Morals:

Determined to live her life unhindered by the will of others, Remilia acts as she wants, seeking true pleasure from her life.
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral, with slight tendencies towards good.


Mind:

Well educated through her teen years, and picking up an understanding of people and social interactions as time went on. Remilia is above average in terms of intellect, but rarely sees reason to apply herself, eschewing much in favor of an easier life.


Quirks:

Carries herself with lady-like posture, despite her occasional crass behavior.
Quick to grow frustrated if things don’t live up to her expectations, at both others and her own shortcomings, her temperament can snap like a twig often leading to short bursts of aggression.
Usually doesn’t, or at least tries not to abbreviate or shorten words, speaking out in longer sentences than most. Especially the inhabitants of Limsa Lominsa. She finds the way they speak most amusing.

History


Brief Version:

Born into the Twelveswoods, to a quiet miqo’te pair Remilia was raised amongst the relative peace and tranquillity of the shroud. The small cottage of her parents was isolated, a couple of hours walk from any other civilisations. Her life changed the day bandits attacked and her parents’ lives were taken. Left alone in the shroud homeless and defenceless, she eventually passed out from fatigue and awoke in an orphanage within Gridania.
She lived in the orphanage for a short while, long enough to forge strong bonds with the other children, before he life changed drastically once more. Adopted into a house of nobility, looking for a suitable successor to train up without the hassle of having to conceive themselves, Remilia was promptly whisked away from the woods she called home, and taken overseas.
Raised for the next ten years to be a successor, she was tutored daily in becoming a proper lady suitable for continuing the family business of trading. She didn’t have time to socialise properly of form connections, not even to those who titled themselves her ‘parents’. As time passed her discontent grew, until it became too much. Taking the next opportunity that arose she made her escape from the residence and fled back to the land she was born in.
Unfortunately, she found herself ill-suited for much of the opportunities that greeted her, and ultimately became a dancer at the Ul’dahn Mineral Concern (nothing more. ._.) until she had saved enough Gil to leave.
As the change of times ushered in the age of adventuring, and with it many faces and types of people from various walks of life, Remilia found herself inspired for perhaps the first time in her life. Hurriedly making her move to branch into the life of adventuring herself she initially encountered many bumps, finding it much harder than she had initially assumed. She has however become reasonably adept at it, and continuously seeks ever more difficult challenges.

The Treasure Hunter


Remilia would proudly proclaim herself a “Treasure hunter”, finding herself most easily excited by exploring uncharted areas, or those that are at least unfrequented by others. Primarily she sells on any treasure or artefacts she might discover on her excursions although she does on occasion keep a few for herself if they are interesting enough. One of her main goals and something of a quest for her is to seek eternal youth, with anything else discovered being a bonus.

Combat

Style: Primarily a ranged combatant, favouring mid to long ranged, Remilia is a skilled shot with both the Bow and Firearms. With bows, she prefers the Longbow and with Firearms pistols. She supplements herself and allies with protective and restorative magicks, and utilizes her hand-to-hand skills when things get too close.
Specialization: Her chief specialisation is with enhancement and restoration. Inheriting her talent from her mother, also a songstress, her magicks are particularly strong. Her personal preference however lies with marksmanship, and her spread focus makes her less optimised than she perhaps could be.
  • Strengths: Strong enhancement magic, skilled marksmanship and some skill at martial arts.
  • Weaknesses: Poor endurance, low threshold for pain, general lack of combat experience.
Armour: Avoiding heavy armours as best she can, Remilia is unlikely to be seen in anything more than leathers, but even then finds it constricting and heavy. Lighter cloth armour that unhampers her movements is her preference.
