Character

Sarnai was born and raised in Othard. Her tribe, the Khatayin, spent most of its time hunting in the mountains. Sarnai excelled at hunting with her uncanny ability to outwit her prey. At the young age of just 15, she had grown so used to getting what she wanted that she could not accept it when she did not. Such was what led to her eventual exile. Sarnai felt that being the tribe's best hunter was an honor even greater than being chieftain. It was this belief that that led her to mark the tribe's premier hunter, Baavgai, as her intended prey...of a different sort than her usual fare. She stalked the man and tried to force him to notice her any chance she got. The trouble was that Baavgai belonged to another, an apprentice shaman. Being the prideful girl she was, Sarnai thought the girl easily outsmarted and grew increasingly sloppy with her hunt.
On the evening she meant to claim the hunter as her own, Sarnai slipped into his tent to present herself to him. What she found instead was the shaman girl, steeled by her fury. She caught Sarnai unaware and unguarded, leaping at her wielding a sharpened boar tusk as a makeshift dagger. The tusk bit deep above her right breast, causing Sarnai to howl in pain and strike back. The stronger huntress shoved into the shaman, bowling her over. Sarnai pinned the girl down and wrapped both hands around her throat, choking the life out of her. Before she could finish her kill, however, Sarnai felt someone grab the horn on the left side of her head. She had no time to react before Baavgai threw her out of his tent by the selfsame horn he had grabbed. Sarnai laid on her back, stunned by the landing and the loss of blood from the wound in her chest. She looked up at the crowd that was forming and then down the length of her body into the tent where Baavgai was tending to his injured shaman girl. So overcome with fury, shame, and humiliation was she that Sarnai rose to her feet and fled into the night. She has not been seen by her tribe since.
Sarnai was recently revealed to be the party behind the purchase of a business license issued by Ul'dah. Where she received the funding is anyone's guess. A lot can happen in ten years to a cunning girl with the world in front of her.
