Appearance
Senkumo is a polite, hard-working manservant of house Suigyokukenbu. He is the last remaining to serve the house's noble lineage, and thus, dresses as such. He is generally found in gentlemanly attire, looking prim, proper, and ready to serve. He is rarely found without a small chain and charm adorning his forehead -- it looks to be some form of foreign symbolism. Possibly a keepsake from Doma.
When not in his working attire, (which is rare), he wears a wide variety of clothes depending on the weather -- rather revealing summer attire, such as fundoshi (Far Eastern Smallclothes), loincloths, or otherwise loose-fitting breezy clothing. He keeps his hair in braids aside from when he washes them; he's quite good at taking care of it.
Personality
The faithful Au Ra is kind, compassionate, and protective: specifically of his immediate family. He can sometimes lose himself to bouts of melancholy when he thinks of the past, but for the most part, does his best to stay focused on the 'now'. He can be somewhat gullible, and foolhardy into accepting challenges he cannot overcome. He tries to avoid this by avoiding situations such as this entirely, and keeping his young mistresses out of danger.
History
Senkumo's family sold flowers -- until they formed a mutually beneficial agreement of House Suigyokukenbu, a noble family with much power in their little town.
The Garlean invasion, and Doman uprising, spelt the end of the House save for two young ladies, whom ventured to Eorzea in a cramped boat, with a terrified Senkumo. Yone, Kinari, and their manservant stepped into the unknown, leaving the ashes of their homes and families behind them.
