Basic Info
An expert engineer raised and trained in Ehcatl, Seoc Totoloc, the adopted son of Chief Sezul Totoloc, worked tirelessly to discover his Ixal family's true origins his entire life. Currently employed at the Skysteel Manufactory in Ishgard, the young man is coming to terms with the truths laid before him in the Fractal Continuum. Luckily for him, his ever-protective lover and steadfast companion, the so-called former Emerald Dragoon Geist Sturmlanze, has elected to endure the coming trials alongside his favorite Miqo'te.
History
Seoc was born in Middle La Noscea to a Hyur mother and a Miqo'te father. His mother died due to complications with his birth, so he was brought up solely by his father. When Seoc was four years old, his father decided to relocate to Gridania in the hopes of getting a job with Fen-Yll Fineries, as he was a leatherworker. On their way to the city-state, however, their caravan was attacked by Ixal. Seoc was knocked unconscious and a crate fell on top of him, hiding him from the attackers and sparing him the grisly fate met by his father.
He was found by the Ehcatl Ixal and taken in by them, as he had no other family to go to. Under the tutelage of Sezul Totoloc and the other craftsmen, Seoc took an interest in a wide array of crafts, though he found that carpentry was his true passion. At the age of sixteen, he began venturing into Gridania and the other settlements in the Shroud in order to run errands for his Ixal family and get exposure to "others like him."
In his twenties, he volunteered to lead an expedition against a newly resummoned Garuda in Natalan. Only one other adventurer, a gruff dragoon by the name of Geist Sturmlanze, showed up to help destroy the primal. While Geist was initially put off by Seoc's official Twin Adder garb, the two came to a mutual understanding that would eventually blossom into a strong friendship.
When Geist learned of Seoc's search for Ayatlan, the Ixali homeland of yore, he took it upon himself to accompany the young Miqo'te. On a trip to the Churning Mists, Seoc was attacked by a moss dragon. The beast bit Seoc's right leg, leaving him with a grievous wound. In order to save him from the poison, Geist amputated Seoc's leg. Seoc now wears a magitek prosthetic of his own design.
Personality
Seoc is relatively easygoing, with a penchant for mead and hot cider. He is eager to help others, especially when it comes to crafting. Under the guidance of Jehantel, he became a bard, and while he is shy around others he loves to sing for his friends and family.
Affiliations
Seoc serves the Order of the Twin Adder as a First Serpent Lieutenant. He is also registered as an Officer of his Free Company, Dawn of Victory.
Other Notes
While he trained himself to speak in a more traditional syntax after spending time with the "civilized" races, when Seoc gets angry or drunk he tends to slip back into speaking like an Ixal, i.e. "Want another mug of cider, I do."
