Smallstax is a young goblin (woe beget anyone who suggests otherwise) who was welcomed into the Idyllshire gobbieflock not long after being found unconscious on the shores of the Thaliak River. They were given the name "Smallstax" by the goblins, although every one of them will swear up and down the name has nothing to do with their diminutive stature.

Basic Info

Although Smallstax has hazy, undefinable memories of their life before Idyllshire, their earliest memory that's clear enough to actually be considered a memory is waking up in a tent in the ruins of Idyllshire three years ago. They vowed to help the goblins in their efforts to rebuild the settlement to repay their kindness, but as their malleable personality and speech patterns came more and more to resemble those of the gobbies, they were eventually given a mask specifically designed for their small size and a proper goblin name.

Since then, Smallstax has been a common fixture among the citizens of Idyllshire, although lately they've been venturing further and further from the growing city, inspired to travel by the tales told by adventurers passing through.

Personality

Smallstax presents themselves as a young individual who is easily entertained and a sucker for stories, their round face and childish appearance furthering to cement this unassuming facade for most people. Although usually genuinely kind and helpful, if a little scatterbrained, especially to visitors in Idyllshire, Smallstax uses their "innocent" looks to their advantage--while not outright thieving, they have been known to swindle visiting merchants and adventurers out of considerably more gil than whatever junk they're hawking is worth. However, fellow goblins and Idyllshire residents, as well as those adventurers who have helped their home, are (usually) given much fairer deals.

Appearance

Standing at a full 2 fulms, Smallstax is about average size for a goblin. Their round face and chubby body are just baby fat, Smallstax insists, and definitely not a common Lalafellin trait. Although usually hidden by their goblin hat, Smallstax's hair is light brown, skin tanned from the sun, and eyes dark enough that the difference between iris and pupil is hard to see.
