(battle theme) APPEARANCE Short for a Roegadyn, Spiral is ‘merely’ seven fulms tall. What he lacks in height, however, he makes up for in stature. Large,bulging muscles from his constant laboring and monk routine make up his entire body, with little fat to be seen. Having seen his fair share of work accidents and brawls, he has a collection of small scars throughout his body, though the only one that stands out as special is one that wraps entirely around his right foot, thick and jagged scar tissue immediately noticeable to anyone. Spiral has a large, somewhat pointed nose typical of roegadyn, with a wide mouth framed by deep laugh lines from constant smiles and laughter. His dark skin make his teeth appear much whiter than they actually are, making his grin more charismatic. The harsh Thanalan sun has taken its toll on his skin, wrinkles and dark freckles lining his face even though he is merely 30. While his hands and feet are callused his skin is surprisingly soft, as spiral frequently indulges in lotions and showers. Spiral has bright, soft eyes the color of amethyst gems. His hair is a dark blue with the beginnings of light blue streaks from age. Before he was employed by the Jiba’s he had thick, luscious hair that cascaded down to his mid-back, but after he became close with Jiji he cut it short and now prefers to keep it swept back or in a short ponytail. Spending a large amount of his life in the heat of Thanalan has made him love lounging and swimming in the la noscean beaches near his home. ■ Meditation. Spiral, contrary to his laid-back and goofy nature, is almost zealous about focusing inwards and learning as much about himself and his aether as he can. He finds it extremely calming and if he has nothing better to do, will usually decide to just meditate. ■ Sparring. Any sort of friendly battle with someone that can keep up is a fun time in Spiral's eyes. D I S L I K E S ■ Garleans. Responsible for the destruction of his birthhome and the cause of most grief and tragedy in his family's life. Zealous hatred has cooled down to dislike and distrust, that is until a chance presents itself to take back Ala Mhigo. ■ Patronizers.People that would look at him and immediately think he's just dumb muscle to be used or see a lala as just a greedy backstabber. ■ Entitled.People who expect everything to just fall into their lap and shouldn't have to exert any effort to achieve their goals. H O B B I E S ■ Carving.Spiral's time as a botanist and carpenter has made him realize he loves making small wooden sculptures. He keeps it secret though, at least until he feels he's good enough to let others see his work. ■ Mentoring. Any time Spiral is in Ul'dah he makes sure to check up on the Pugilist guild and help any new Pugilist. Teaching the way of the monk is something he finds extremely fufilling, willing to teach just about anyone that asks. ■ Sightseeing. Spira; is always up for seeing wondrous sights and if he hears of one is ready to plan a vacation there and bring Jiji with him if she wants to go. S T R E N G T H S ■ Collected. It takes a lot to make Spiral lose his cool, and thinks well under pressure or in hostile company. ■ Athletic. Due to his hard laboring as a teen and adult and the rigorous training he undergoes as a Monk, Spiral has exceptional strength and endurance even for a Roegadyn. . W E A K N E S S E S ■ Uneducated. While Spiral was taught basics at a young age by scholars at the temple, once they fled he never got traditional schooling, leaving most of his teachings from whatever he learned growing up in Ul'dah. ■ Hyper Focused. When spiral begins to focus on something the longer he does so the less control he has over his ability to stop. Whether it be something simple like looking for a certain thing in Jiji's library or getting tunnel vision in a heated life-or-death battle, Spiral will continue doing it until he accomplishes it or gets snapped out of it, even if it might be detrimental to himself. M O T I V A T I O N S ■ Love - Jiji is Spiral's main motivator. He wants to provide anything and everything he can for her and strives to better himself so he can do that. ■ Revenge - Spiral's drive to free Ala Mhigo stems entirely from the feeling that his birthright was taken from him, leaving him with nothing.
