~The Au Ra of the Raen tribes never hungered for the violence~

~

~But I shall not sit and simply dream~

Starle Shadowfade, an Au Ra refugee of the Raen lineage hailing from what was once Doma in the valleys of the great Orthard Mountain’s. An Engineer by occupation and Merchant by fancy. A recent newcomer to Eorzea’s society having made her own escape from the fury of Garlemald, she dreams of founding a new life here. In a land full of new scientific discovery, and perhaps coin for a mercantile amateur.

Note about Use:
This is my personal character.

Character

Appearance

An Au Ra of average height, with white hair. She moves in careful strides, while inquisitive lilac eyes observe her surroundings with mischievous smile.

  • Careful, Vivacious, Curious
  • A modest fashion and attentive
  • A serpentine elegance.

Features: Vibrant lilac eyes with an almost constant inquisitive glint, highlight an otherwise bright and attractive oval face. Adorned neatly with pale ivory coloured scales that kindly match her pale white hair.

Physique: A neat lean and lithe physique cause her slight feminine curves to remain an attractive asset while not standing pronounce or unwieldy.

Hair Short and neatly braided in the fasion popular with the Au Ri after the Scions blessed them with safe refuge. It’s a natural white, with evidence of fading at the tips caused by the harsh sun of the Orthard’s.

Dress: Practical robes or leggings are used depending on weather or function. She holds a single set of clothes for social occasions, saved from her trunk prior to the desolation of Doma. She attempts to dress in such a way that flatters her feminine features, while keeping a modest air.

Accessories and Makeup: Only light makeup is used to frame her eyes and to highlight her lips, liner is potentially used to highlight her facial scales. She possesses a single choker of unknown origin.

Manner: Vivacious, feminine, self-confident and inquisitive. She is forward with her questions though does not ‘flirt’. She is ignorant of Eorzean tradition and culture, so can appear both clumsy and aloft.

Voice: Soft lilting tones typical of a feminine Auri. She does not sing. Save the songs of the Dawnfather, as such when she does sing or recite it’s humble and fervent in nature.

Disposition

A cautious confidence, full of an inquisitive fervour and a desire to better herself. She is slow to speak her mind on matters of politics, as she is a thoughtful spirit.

But will debate fluently on matter of science and alchemy that takes her fancy. She is clumsy in business manners, but is no fool. Simply, inexperienced.

Background

An extract of her personal diary.

Within the valleys, between the monstrous sentinels of stone and rock known as the Eastern Orthard Mountain’s once stood Doma, a shining jewel within the vast green plains that humbly provided the succor of the Auri Raen people.

Our people ever did covet peace and tranquility, to best emulate that of the Dawn Father whom our caste owe their descendance. The Au Ra of the Raen tribes never hungered for the violence as the Auri of the Xeala Castes do.

But we understand the need of the Dusk Mother, though our blood is thick with the light of the Dawn Father we know that peace shalt not be bought at the price of the soul. Though our people bide our time within Revenant’s Toll in the barrens of Mor Dhona we shall never forget the injustice inflicted upon us by the Garlean’s.

One day the Au Ra of Doma shall return to our ancestral lands and reclaim all that was destroyed when the fury of Garlemald was brought to bare upon our people. No longer do we stand as vassals to the tyranny of the of the Garlean Emperor.

We’re a free people. Whom shall reclaim and rebuild the peace and tranquility of our noble City, not on the blood of those we lost when our City was raised to ash. But upon the corpses of our oppressors whose blood shall revitalize the lands and whose bodies shall be the founding stones of a new Doma.

The Au Ra of the Raen Caste shall sit idly no longer. And when the time comes that we march once more upon Orathard the ground shall tremble beneath our people's fury, the spirits shall shudder and disperse at the sound of our war horns.

And the Garlean’s shall look upon the visage of their demise, and know the true meaning of despair. For only through their blood can we sate the thirst of the Dusk Mother and once more embrace the light of the Dawn Father…

… But I shall not sit and simply dream of this future, I Taishoku Kage of the Au Ra Raen. Must grab destiny by the haft and the hilt. It’s not within our own traditions that I shall find the strength to act.

Yugiri Mistwalk shall reeve a hole through the body of Garlemald so that our people may once more see the light of the coming age. And we shall stand with her. This I believe.
