[edit] Details Personality Rumors Gallery OOC Notes GENERAL INFORMATION An adopted child of a vintner and Garlean sympathizer in the conquered land of Aerslant. He's lived between Eorzea and Aerslant escaping from and returning to the latter throughout the last five years. Regardless of good intentions, he has used and exploited local resources and adventurers to achieve his own goals; a search for his adoptive father via a Trading Company, a front to embezzle money to fund a private war against the Garleans via a popular restaurant, and most recently finding vindication and forgiveness via a Scholasticate in service to the less fortunate he's left behind. He's now taken on a new identity after a deadly assault against the Scholasticate by what he believes to be a Garlean force. APPEARANCE Sterne has a noticeably youthful face. Though he is now in his late 20s he still appears to be somewhat of a teenager. In fact, that child-like youth is an air about him which has no doubt aided him in charming the aid of those around him. Most people notice his gaze first. He has bright blue eyes framed by thick dark eyebrows that betray even a friendly smile to what is perceived as an intense analyzing and calculating stare. Today he wears a deep scar across his right eye which has led to its loss of function. Though at first devastated, he has decided to use this to his advantage and let it aid him in hiding his former identity. Aspects That Stand Out: ■ Wide Child-Like eyes Bright Blue ■ Statuesque Posture PERSONALITY Ever a "Daddy's Boy", he exhibits behavior of an only child not often considering others in his daily routine and habits. That is not to say he is selfish. In fact, someone in his good graces will often get the bulk of his attention. Yet today, his former naive self has been replaced by a critical thinker and somber self-doubter. Beneath this learned behavior lies that naive child who comes out most earnestly in his eyes. He is a man of values who rarely waivers from what he considers to be just and fair - some might call this self-righteous. Should you impress upon him an alignment with his values, you will forever have earned his trust until the moment it is betrayed. It is for these folk, and those who do not and have never aligned with his own values, that the vindictive, aggressive, combative and battered soul in him emerges; and it is here the child like light in his eyes is replaced by something much more severe. This makes them weak in his eyes. ■ DARK SPACES - Having the ability to perceive things around him triggers a deep fear of being made powerless. H O B B I E S ■ PRESSING FLOWERS/SCARPBOOKING - At some point in his journey away from home he began pressing flowers into his journal and cataloging different documents and drawings his come across that he would not like to forget - or that have a potential for use in the future. ■ BACK-ALLEY FIGHTING - Willfully breaking the law of most City-States he often wanders to dark alleys to fight random aggressors to practice his fighting skills.
