Sybil Regabi
Sybil is a Twevlveswood-born archer and huntress currently serving in Maelstrom Command as a Lieutenant. Her childhood was spent within the Black Shroud, and much of her youthful activities revolved heavily around her and her mother's involvement in the Gridanian Archer's Guild. After an incident, she and her father relocated to La Noscea, where Sybil came to love the sea and eventually decided to join Maelstrom. While both Twelveswood and La Noscea hold a dear place in her heart, she still refers to the Black Shroud as home, and visits frequently.

Appearance & Personality
- Sybil stands still relatively short, but with her shoulders back and head high. She moves calmly and precisely in and out of combat, though employs a more masculine gait. Her naturally sandy brown hair has been meticulously bleached and dyed teal, her own preferred color. She inherited her golden eyes from her scholar father, who insists it a sign of magick prowess and intuition. Her garments usually include white or red coloring. Her speech is slow and casual, though her vocabulary is proper and refined due to her and her father's studies.
- Sybil is also a huge flirt, and tries to be a gentlewoman when she can. She can be a bit of a prankster, and likes to tease others, but is genuinely kind-hearted and rather protective of friends and family. She has a bit of a temper on her, and can be exceptionally impatient. She is most often reserved and proper around strangers, but loosens up over time.
Biography
Childhood
- Sybil was born in the Twelveswood to two adoring parents. Her father, Cenric, was a scholar and her mother, Freya, was an established Gridanian Archer as well as leatherworker. Growing up, her mother was the provider of the family, her gil earned through Archer's Guild activities, hunting, and leather trading. Longing to be like her mother, she insisted at a very young age to be trained as an archer. As she grew, she began accompanying her mother regularly on hunts and learned crucial survival skills, how to last for days at a time in the thick woods of the Black Shroud, and how to skin and harvest game. Her father, Cenric, constantly encouraged her to study, and taught her many basic magicks including self heals and shielding auras. She and her father grew quite close, though her mother would constantly scold them both for wasting their time and not working to bring in any income.
Teenage
- Her teenage years were most markedly affected by the disappearance of her mother after increasing Poacher raids having been happening in South Shroud. Many of the Gridanian Guild's archers resolved to search for her or her body, but no evidence was found. Believing her dead, the search was called off and a memorial erected. However, Sybil refused to believe her mother dead and came to the conclusion that her mother must be being held hostage. Her father, concerned for her safety should she act rashly and go searching for her mother in Poacher territory, decided to move to La Noscea. It was there that Sybil began to work more extensively in leatherwork and hunting to fill the gap in income caused by her mother's disappearance. Over time, her father discovered Sharlayan Astrology, and seeing it a perfect opportunity to give his daughter new purpose, he began to teach her along with himself. Sybil grew to love working with the cards and practiced regularly with her father. Years passed, and Sybil came to love the sea and the city of Limsa Lominsa. Sensing a way to help increase personal funds, and in the back of her mind to perhaps learn more of her mother's disappearance, she joined Maelstrom.
Present
- Sybil has moved swiftly up through Maelstrom's ranks and has found herself assigned to Black Shroud on a Poacher's raid case. Sensing this the perfect opportunity to search for information regarding her mother's fate, she eagerly begins volunteering for night watches and patrols. What little evidence she is able to find points to the Redbelly Hive, where she eventually, without warning to any friends, family, or military personal, infiltrated the hive only to be greeted by her own mother, now a respected Poacher within the Redbelly Ranks. In a fit of rage, Sybil loses her temper and attempts to attack her mother, only to be easily beaten down and bloodied by her mother's more extensive hand-to-hand combat knowledge.
- Luckily for Sybil, via an emergency Linkshell call, a friend in the area was able to easily enter the ruined hive and extract her to safety, but not before her bow, Stargazer, had been destroyed. Now bruised and battered, Sybil is eager to get out of the Twelveswood and back home to Limsa where she hopes to report the situation and see to it that her mother is found and arrested by whatever means possible.
- For her insubordination, she has been placed on probation, and is not authorized to leave La Nosea for her own safety. With her bow destroyed, she turns to her astrology deck, resolving to practice her magicks and take time to heal. Too ashamed and hurt to tell her father the truth of what's happened, she refuses to visit him.
Miscellaneous
- Having beaten so easily by her mother hand-to-hand, Sybil eagerly seeks training in fist fighting.
