Tae Shinjaka

Born in the Far East, deep past the bustling port town of Kugane, Tae was born in a family of high class merchants. However, one fateful day, her home was struck by a horrid drought, the likes of which had never been seen before... in the town's time of need however, a young alchemist and her master arrived, almost like magic. Using their knowledge, the town was saved.... however, the young Tae was never able to thank them, as they had vanished. Not one to let this stop her, she took up training in the art of the blade, and after a few years, departed to the west. There, the now young adult Tae would find herself in a land of wonder and danger, that'll awe and amaze her... and push the limits of a woman's confidence and strength...

Nanama Kha and Perceval Greystone: A detective and her boyfriend that Tae hired the services of when a group of slavers made the young Au'ra's target, Tae quickly grew attached to them, sensing a connection with the two. Tae would seek to repay the favor by assisting Nanama on the search for her father's ashes. While Tae acts cocky and proud around the duo, it hides a more glaring problem with her.. a desire to be needed, to have friends who need to count on her, much to the samurai's hatred. Through a few weeks of protection from slavers, battles against evil fathers, and most noticeably, Tae saving the two's lives when they were attacked by a mysterious woman, Tae's bond with them has grown beyond mere friendship... at least on her side.
