History
Limsa Lominsa was not the easiest place to be a young Miqo'te. Most of Teilah's younger years were centered around her mother's line of work at a local tavern. Her sire spent most of his time down at the shipyards tending to whatever the Knights of the Barracuda needed done. Teilah would frequently meandar about the tavern while her mother served and entertained. She enjoyed the atmosphere of laughs and what seemed to be good times for the patrons.
As Teilah matured into her early teenage years she was able to finally work a bit. Although the jobs were simple, she took great pride in her chores. She enjoyed all of the various walks of life that would stumble in, and usually out, of the tavern. It didn't take long before she befriended some of the regular patrons with her witty personality.
A few months into her eighteenth year Teilah was offered a lucrative position aboard the vessel of a local merchant. He was a Hyur that went simply by the name 'The Count'. With enough provocation and bartering he was able to procure the services of Teilah and her mother and sire.
All seemed well aboard The Count's mercantile vessel until the day came where the effect's of Dalamund caused the current to shift and the waters to rise. Teilah doesn't remember much of what happened. The unyielding vessel was eventually swallowed by the waters. Amid the chaos and confusion the young Miqo'te found herself drifting in the violent water. Her conciousness faded only to regain awareness on the security of solid earth.
With her natural hunting and survival insticts guiding the way Teilah wandered up the coast following no particular path other than those with ample food and shelter. After what felt like weeks she was picked up by a small group of Elezens identiying themselves as Wood Wailers. She was brought into the safety of Gridonia to recover and attempt to recollect what had transpired... to no avail. Five years have passed and Teilah has settled into her life in Gridonia. Her unique personality and witty humor quickly gained her opportunities leading to a meager income. She lives day to day with an eagerness to come across new people and further her employment. At this point in her life it's all about the gil. Everything else is just another story to talk about.
