Tomoe Aoyama. Healer. Sometimes.
Appearance & PersonalityDemeanor: 'Aoyama' as she insists people call her that she isn't close to, is by all accounts a viper tongued, venom spitting 'bitch'. She comes across as extremely hard working and deeply involved in her conjury, proud of her traditions and her skills as a healer. She has little patience for fools and idiots, only just suffering through most conversations with thinly veiled irritation. She enjoys mocking others and has a mouth that could strip skin off someone from ten yalms.
Nature: By nature, Tomoe is a person with a very, very thick outer layer of disgruntlement. Underneath it, well, that's anyone guess. She's probably just even meaner deep down.

Habits: Tomoe has few habits, including ensuring her tea chest is always stocked. She is an avid baker, gardener and will happily impale anyone on a spike of rock who sees her doing either activity. When working in her clinic, she tends to knock her patients out with magic as her primary tool in order to maintain peace and quiet.
Common Appearance: Tomoe is a very tall Au Ra Raen, standing at 5 fulm and 2 ilm, graced with a large bust. Her skin is a dark inky blue and her eyes large, owlishy so and a grey-green with a bright near white umbral ring. She is more scaled than most Raen females, perhaps a sly nod to her personality being so rough and armoured. She wears her black hair, streaked with a soft blue, pulled back into two braided pigtails with heavy bangs and pieces of hair drifting down beside her horns. Her tail is small, slim and delicate.
Scars & Markings: Tomoe is proud to have no scars, but her face is marked with traditional paint in wavy lines on cheeks and temples.
Voice: Cool, clipped and measured - unless her temper explodes in fiery rage and it becomes a heated, evil thing filled with cursing and disdain. When speaking to patients that obey her, she is almost compassionate and gentle to ease their fears.
Clothing: Tomoe works in a white robe with open shoulders, tight fitting leggings and thigh boots. The staff she uses, nicknamed "Tōsaku rōjin" ( 倒錯老人 ) has a face where the eyes sometimes open and leer at those around her. In her clinic, she wears a russet brown coatee, white slacks and russet brown thighboots. She sports glasses when in her clinic as reading becomes tricky for her when the print is finer. (she is marginally farsighted)

AbilitiesTomoe is smart, gifted with a swift mind. She's strong at healing and some magical combat. She's an avid researcher, organised and neat in her documentation. She enjoys a certain order to how things proceed in life, extending this rigid control to her working environments. Tomoe is strong emotionally, capable of compartmentalising her life.
When it comes to her patients, Tomoe takes two routes: oddly compassionate or angry as all Hells. She is a little bad at reading social situations and often says unintentionally hilariously mean things. She has a very forthright manner, so there's little filter on the things she says. She's woeful at running any good distance, tiring quickly.
Healing. Elemental magic. Twisted healing/harming.
Tomoe is an extremely skilled conjurer, if the white stone on a chain about her neck is anything to go by. She has massive capability in mending wounds of body and spirit, her aether feeling cool and refreshing, washing away fatigue and brightening the soul. But she is extremely talented in using 'the rage' of nature, as she says 'Nature is neither cruel nor kind, nature simply is as you find it.' She can rip boulders from the floor, whip air into tornadoes and drive water in painful floods. More than all of this, she has learned to twist her healing magic to harm in insidious ways, causing disease and crippling over long spans of time.
Tomoe isn't a physical fighter. She needs to be out of direct combat. She considers her body an annoying limitation on what her mind and magic can do.

Relationship : Karin is Tomoe's elder sister and the only one of her siblings she feels close to. Karin was three years older and had a son and a daughter, she worked for the local government. Tomoe isn't sure what became of Karin after the Garleans invaded.

Takuma Ametsuchi ( ♥ ≈ ) aka 'Firecrotch'

Relationship : Takuma met Tomoe whilst she was attending to a patient in her makeshift clinic in Coerthas. She has followed him back to the 81st Foreign Levy and has signed on, much to his eternal horror, to become one of their resident menders. She enjoys tormenting him as much as she can, as payment for every word he ever said wrongly against her.

Jebei Moks ( ● ) A Rare Man

Relationship : Jebei, or Blue as she has accepted in calling him, is a kind man with a quiet and calm heart who thinks deeply before acting. Tomoe was touched by his gesture in showing her the tearoom he had made in the Doman style, with the altar for prayer. Astonished anyone had even thought to soothe her disquiet over being displaced, she sees him in a fond light.
