Orphaned as an infant due to tribal wars, Tsene was found by a Xaela man by the name of Mungke, who had a traveling dance troupe made up of other orphans and runaways. He took the infant Tsene under his wing and raised her, and in return, when she came of age she started training to be a dancer in his troupe. She learned quickly, soon becoming the star dancer and being given the epithet "The Othard Peony". She travels the world with Mungke and the troupe, performing for people of all walks of life; and, when she took up an interest in witchcraft, also provides helpful charms and brews for those in need.

LIKES ■ Dancing -- She honestly loves her trade, and loves performing for people. That she dazzles so many people so well brings her a lot of pride and esteem. ■ Magic -- Though it's not known to many, it's not exactly a secret either that Tsene is a witch. Fortunately, she uses her magic for good, opting to create helpful charms and brews. ■ People -- They're infinitely diverse and fascinating, and she's seen all types of people as her troupe has traveled. She genuinely enjoys people and tries to make as many close friends as possible. ■ Sweets -- She's cursed with a nigh insatiable sweet tooth. ■ Jewelry -- In her professional and personal lives both, she adorns herself in jewelry both gifted to her by her troupe and collected from places where they performed. ■ Perfume Oils -- Her favorite scents are chamomile, sage, and aloe. She usually smells like one of these on a given day.

DISLIKES ■ Unfairness -- A highly just person, she believes strongly in fairness and people getting what they deserve—whether positive or negative. ■ Excessive Heat & Sunshine -- More accustomed to cooler temperatures and preferring the dark, she has a low tolerance for the opposites. As one can imagine, being in Thanalan is not usually that enjoyable for her. ■ Fighting -- Having been orphaned by violence and just generally having no conscious interest in anyone being hurt, Tsene is strongly opposed to fighting. There's a ferocious side to her, however, that may revel in it.

QUIRKS & SKILLS ■ Proficient Dancer -- She's not the star of her troupe for no reason, after all. Tsene even mentors new members or those who just wish to learn to entertain. ■ Berserk Button -- For unknown reasons, if pushed far enough, she can become quite savage. It takes a lot to get her this far, but it would be best avoided. ■ Body Language -- Tsene is very animated and talks with her hands. Her gestures are almost never anything but graceful, though.

A P P E A R A N C E

■ Body: A modest pear-shaped figure with strong legs, though very much on the shorter end of the height spectrum. Delicate curves and an attractive look overall. Her tail is quite long and barbed at the tip. ■ Skin: Light russet, smooth and soft, and spruced up with makeup of purple shades. Her scales are the normal blue-black of a Xaela, well cared for, and sometimes decorated with gold paint. ■ Hair: A little on the unruly side, somewhat spiky and feathered, reaching to her mid back. The natural color is a brown-black, but it is almost always died dark purple that fades into a reddish gradient. ■ Eyes: Alluring and carrying a look as if they're hiding secrets. Bright pinkish purple with orange limbal rings; monolid.

■ Clothes: Almost exclusively wears purples with accents of gold and silver. She tends towards clothing that is wispy and flows with her movements, and often wears silks. It's all well-made, but never anything particularly fancy unless it's something she's performing in. Her performance clothes are shiny silks of her assigned color (purple), with bits of gold ornaments and beads and whatnot decorating it. ■ Jewelry: Tsene wears just about every kind of jewelry out there. Beads, necklaces, piercings, bangles, rings, anklets... all these decorate her body. Of note are the chains and bangles around her horns, beads tied into her hair, the ring in her navel, and the bangles around her tail near its barbs. All mostly gold, some silver. ■ Voice: Somewhat low in pitch, a bit husky. Has an accent unique to Xaela, despite her fluency in the Eorzean tongue.

She's been teaching Shonin some of her witchcraft in their spare time. They are all but inseparable and even perform together as if they're extensions of each other.   Mungke (✔) The leader of the troupe Tsene works for and grew up in. He's a large and imposing—probably even intimidating—man, but he genuinely cares for all of the people under his wing. He created the troupe around 30 years ago, when he started to collect unwanted Xaela orphans in order to care for them.
