- ■ Years 0-5. On a warm summer morning, an Au ri couple go into labor with their first and only child. Tsenurtta welcomes the world with a cry, along with three other infants of neighboring families. Tsenurtaa bore the name Haragin as his family name for his parents belong to the clan of Haragin. Shortly after his birth, his parents returned to their respective positions in the tribe. His mother, a healer, kept him close by at all times through those crucials years of infancy. His father, a miner and a warrior, spent most of his time away from this new formed unit making his relationship with Tsenurtaa more distant than that of his with his mother. Being a coastal tribe, the Haragin tribe's only defense came from their boats and the water. Shortly after Tsenurtaa turned three years old, his tribe was raided by a tribe from the nearby Steppes resulting in several casualties, including Tsenurtaa's mother. After the death of his mother, Tsenurtaa's father became solely responsible for his son, making hims unable to continue his trades until Tsenurtaa became older.
- ■ Years 6-12. Shortly after Tsenurtaa became six years old, his father thought him old enough to take Tsenurtaa into the fields with him and resume his trade. His father first grabbed his pickaxe and satchel, and led Tsenurtaa for the safety of the tribe. At first, their trips outside the tribe were short, lasting maybe three to four hours. This is all his father could muster while trying to keep his son feeling safe and keeping his attention while he mined. By the age of ten, the could spend as much as a week away from the tribe before returning home. While his father mined, Tsenurtaa would practice combative skills his father had taught him, in case of an attack. For this reason, Tsenurtaa would carry a large stick that he had strung on his back. The whole year leading up to his twelfth birthday, Tsenurtaa hit a major growing spurt and by his birthday he was taller than all of his clan's women and some of the men of the clan as well.
- ■ Years 13-19. The tall and lanky Tsenurtaa, who resembers an adult more than an adolescent, towers trhough his tribe at the ripe age of thirteen. As promised, his father acquired a pickaxe for him so he can begin to learn his family's trade. When he was not learning how to mine, he was with the other youth of his tribe, learning how to wield and carry his weapon of choice properly. Of all the weapons he could choose from, he chose the axe. A majority of these years were spent studying under his father or under a clan warrior. Seventeen, an axe and pickaxe adorn his back in the shape of an "X". His social nature, by this point, cause his more trouble than not. His only savior is his sheer height made him intimidating to even the strongest of men among the tribe. Tragedy struck the tribe again halfway through Tsenurtaa's nineteenth year of life. The clan of the Steppes, who took his mother's life, once again raids the Haragin clan. This time, the clan was more prepared but still many lives of his tribesmen were lost on that day.
- ■ Years 20-24. Clan life is for the most part restored, but the Haragins now face commerce problems. Their trading partners were also devastated by the Steppe tribe making their wares slim. Tsenurtaa stepped up to search for other trading partners in surrounding areas. He began his journey in the late spring, carrying various goods from his tribe in his side satchel. Alone, he traveled the coast where, late Autumn, he stumbled upon an alien ship in the waters. Among the crew he recognized they were not Auri people but knew not what they were. He approached cautiously with his hand close to the handle of his axe. As he drew close, he called out to the crew. They acknowledge him and meet him on the shore, some with weapons drawn as a safety precaution. He showed his wares to one of the crew members. After long winded conversations, negotiations were met and Tsenurtaa returned to his tribe with traded goods. He never lied, but did not tell who his contacts were. Several years pass when Tsenurtaa decided he wanted to journey to the land of his trade partners. The captain was reluctant, but agreed only on the terms that Tsenurtaa would work for him until the cost of his transportation and board were paid for, which Tsenurtaa was told was 100,000 gil. Tsenurtaa agreed to pay back his debt by any means necessary. On his last day in Othard, Tsenurtaa packed his satchel with only the necessities, but kept his "X" on his back. He sat in his home, before the Sun came up and wrote his father a letter saying that he would not be returning to the tribe. Once day began to break, he journeyed to meet his partners, soon to be masters. They stowed him in a box of herbs, so his presence would be unknown until it was too late. Next thing Tsenurtaa remembers is the crate walls around him fly open and he is utterly blinded by the suns light. Once his eyes adjust he seems the enormous port city of Limsa Lominsa. He has arrived in Eorzea, a slave at age twenty-four. Shortly after his arrival, Tsenurtaa worked tirelessly to raise his debt burden. After two months of slavery he had reached 90,000 gil. A quick trip to the INN in Limsa bore more fruit than it should have. Another young Auri (a Raen), by the name of Altan generously gave Tsenurtaa the 10,000 gil he needed for his freedom. From the moment on, Tsenurtaa swore he would let nothing bad come to Altan and became his ally and friend.
