Basic Info
A member of the Drake tribe, U'zalikko possesses great affinity for pole arms in something of an ironic twist of fate. This led her, after the Calamity, to seek training as a lancer. Travelling frequently in a small band with other Miqo'te of different tribes and a Keeper, she finds she has long left behind some of the traditions of her clan but is remarkably... unbothered by it. Perhaps it's because the three she keeps with are a bit off the beaten path, as well.
History
-Born in Limsa Lominsa after her father, mother, and aunts left the Forgotten Springs
-Father is Nunh of the family, or at least acting, though because of their living in Limsa Lominsa, his duties are slightly different than they would be, traditionally.
-Youngest girl in family; five older sisters, three older brothers and one younger
-Father still taught them all to hunt and protect themselves; Zalikko wound up heading to Gridania to learn the ways of the lance after discovering she prefers it over other weapons and that she possesses little ability with aether manipulation
-While living on her own in Gridania and training, she considered asking if the Wailers would take her on but never went through with it--particularly not with her understanding of Gridania's treatment of outsiders
Personality
She speaks plainly and fears little, placing value in deed rather than word. Words are used to placate; deeds are proof of the heart.
Her temper is short with liars and clowns, and shorter still with those who would hold themselves too loftily; a grounded mind earns her patience, and one wise (or perhaps curious) enough to question earns her respect.
She is fairly simple, in her own eyes, and she scarcely minds it. Those who view themselves as complicated only make themselves that way, and thus life does follow suit--or so is her understanding. Still, she is young with much to learn and views do shift over time. Though she acknowledges this, U'zalikko is hard-pressed to believe that particular teaching will ever leave her.
Of her companions, U'zalikko is as fierce a guardian as is within her power to be. This is most particularly true of Jhadzia Aliapoh, though the Seeker isn't quite aware of it.
Also, if you ask her, it's best not to believe anything a certain Y'rhika Tia says.
Affiliations
Jhadzia Aliapoh - A Black Mage U'zalikko is willing to call "temperamental", their relationship is... strange, at best. There are often times when U'zalikko isn't quite sure how to classify their friendship, even though she often thoughtlessly drops the "Jha" of the Keeper's name in a manner not dissimilar to the closeness with which U'zalikko regards the two Tia she and Jhadzia are often found with.
Y'rhika Tia - A source of endless frustration but a valued friend. U'zalikko is frequently startled by just how... unaware of the world he seems, or perhaps simply how dim he is. Nevertheless, she knows him to be reliable in his own way and trusts him because of it. There's a part of her that appreciates how much he seems to be in the same proverbial boat as she is with some things.
J'elhd Tia - As a White Mage who cannot speak, U'zalikko keeps one eye on him at all times. For whatever reason, she can't help but see J'elhd as a child, and as such someone to be protected. Given his affinity? At least it works out.
Garrett Slater - Having only met the man properly once, U'zalikko has no sure opinion of him quite yet. Her impression of him is favourable, even if she was disinclined to show as much at the time of their meeting.
