Personality

-At a Base? Kind of Tsundere
-Standoffish and mildly cold at first when meeting new people; can kind of seem like a jackass at first if you don't know this
-Easily embarrassed and gets jealous even easier
-Friendly once he gets to know you, and is protective to a fault
-Does leather-working to relieve stress (which sometimes stresses more)
-Aggressive and reckless in battle, he get's very focused on a certain task at hand, unfortunately leaving opportunities for counterattack from non-targeted mobs. Is a DPS for this reason instead of a tank.
-Kind of has a thing for reaaaaaaaally tall guys and finds Au Ra's aesthetically pleasing overall (what a nerd)
-If he gets into a bad mood, he can come across as brooding.
-Surprisingly good with children, and likes them a lot.
-Una is very comfortable with his sexuality (and has identified as homosexual for as long as he can remember).
-Mildly vain about his appearance.
-When in groups, he tends to keep to himself, staying quiet. Even if he knows a good portion of those present.
-Is not the sort of person to start with introductions (hazard of occupation, partially), so people normally have to ask him if they want him to introduce himself. Else, you'l never really learn who he is.
-Una doesn't like to talk about "The Incident", so bringing it up might cause him to become sullen and colder.

Likes

-BIRDS
-Cuddling and affectionate gestures (not in public though)
-Leather-working
-Tsukito Watanabe (Husband)
-Tsukito's tail ("....so cute...")
-Carnations are his favorite flower
-Blue and Pink are his favorite colors
-Kids

Dislikes

-Vegetables
-Being embarrassed/teased by others excessively
-Overly Public displays of affection (though he's working on improving this)
-People He doesn't know well petting him/patting his head
-Diremites

Appearance

-The shortest height Lalafells can be in-game
-Both ears are triple pierced. While he normally wears hoop earrings in the bottom two hoops, the top hoops change with his gear. He's always wearing at least one set.
-Has freckles
-Face looks naturally kind and smiling, despite his personality being pretty much the opposite to those he doesn't know
-Hetero-chromatic eyes, but just with different shades of Blue
-His hair is blonde, but has darker blue highlights streaked through them after Certain Incidents.

Background

-Second oldest of 5 children in his family. Has an older brother, two younger sisters, and a younger baby brother
-His Family Name is Sunanala (pronounced Soon-ahn-ah-la)
-Both parents are alive, but due to the circumstances upon which Una became an adventurer, they don't overly talk to Una much.
-Being the second son, the expectations put on Una were harsh, as his family expected him to be just as talented and great as his older brother. Unable to deal with the unrealistic pressure (Una is much simpler than his brother) put on him, he eventually left home to become an adventurer. His parents disapproved of the choice, and rarely speak to him anymore. They chose to focus on Una's younger siblings more now.
-He has a good realtionship with his younger siblings (they love hearing his adventuring stories and Tsukito), but his older brother and him have a strained relationship, and don't talk.
-After leaving his home to start his adventurer's journey at age 16, he manages to make his way to Gridania by stowing away in various trading caravans and carts, using his small size to his advantage. After a few days in Gridania, and finding that he likes it there quite a bit, he gets into a conversation with some of the Wood Wailers, who were curious to see him, as they hadn't seen him enter the city. Una told them he'd come in with one of the larger groups of people recently, but must've been missed due to his size. The Wailers believed him.
-Speaking with the Wailer's made Una curious about the different guilds in the City-state, and after some wandering around, he joined the Leatherworker's guild after following a suggestion of a few people he'd been chatting with in passing by.
-He spends a number of years learning the craft within the Leatherworking guild, as well as picking up a bit of Archery, until he turned 25. Realizing it'd be easier to have access to supplies and materials, and always keeping in touch with his friends in the Wailer's, he eventually joined the Lancer's guild.

Meeting Tsukito

-A Year into his time at the Lancer's guild, he... meets a male Au Ra by the name of Tsukito, who is also a lancer at the time.
-Their first initial impression was not exactly the best, as Tsukito was exiting the guild while Una was entering and Una ending up being kneed directing into the face by Tsukito, due to the taller not initially seeing the short lalafell. Needless to say, Una was rather angry at first but upon seeing who it was he ran into (only having seen a few other Au Ra in his life), he was a bit embarrassed by his outburst
-His first initial though upon seeing Tsukito was something along the lines of "by Halone he's tall". And since Tsukito apologized and seemed to feel very bad about the whole situation, Una forgave him rather easily.
-After a few times where they talked and fought together and overall hung out, Una realizes he's crushing on Tsukito, and HARD. After this realization, Una found every reason and odd-end job to take to continue to spend time with the other.
-He notices, after a while, that the other has started giving him little gifts here and there for no apparent reason. Naturally a bit shy/easily embarrassed about any form of affection, he simply accepts them without much comment or encouragement, while secretly keeping them in a safe place in his room at the Inn. He treasures the little gifts.
-One day, he and Tsukito were on a small errand that turned south quickly, and ended up in the middle of an ambushed battle. Being someone that get's overly focused on a single target, he didn't notice until after the battle that Tsukito had gotten injured (and very aware that it was his fault).
-Tsukito, on their way back to camp together, so that he would have a safe place to heal himself, finally confesses his feelings to Una, leaving Una a bit at a loss for words.
-After hearing Tsukito's feelings, he's overly shocked that his (secret)feelings were mutual, which causes him to withdraw and become silent and almost brooding during their travel time back to their camp near Quarrymill, trying to figure out what to say, as he was never used to being the target/object of anyone's serious affections in his life.
-As they set up camp, and Tsukito heals his wounds as best he can, Una's thoughts are a disastrous mess until he notices that Tsukito's struggling to find something to say. He ends up blurting out his feelings back to Tsukito in a rush before the Au Ra can say anything else, causing the poor Lalafell's entire face to turn a very obvious and bright red. They talk the rest of the night, and by the end of it, they do really realize their feelings are indeed mutual and do start dating.
-Upon engagement to Tsukito a few years later, he immediately takes the other's last name without hesitation, due to his lack of attachment to his family name.
-He's happier now than he was when he first left his family to become an adventurer. He never thought he'd end up where he is now, able to freely travel between the main three City-States with someone he loves as dearly as he does Tsukito.
-He acts much differently with Tsukito than towards literally everyone else.
-Una and Tsukito got married 01.07.17

An Accident/ "The Incident"

-It's crucial to mention that Una has 'died' and been brought back to life by Tsukito.
-He was only technically dead for a few moments, as in he stopped breathing/heart stopped beating before a spell was cast, taking some of Tsukito's lifespan/vital aether and transferring it to Una to restart his own vitals. It took Tsukito a long time to recover from teh casting of this spell as it overtaxed his aetherical pathways in his body.
-It's a good to note thing that Tsukito at the time had ties to certain...aetherical manipulations at the time that he has since lost the ability to use that allowed him to cast such a spell. He can no longer do this. It was a one-time thing.
-This spell messed with Una's initial aetheric energies (which were weak before, causing him to be unable to spell-cast himself), thus giving him the ability to manipulate Aetheric Energies into magic.
-This also messed with his physical appearance, causing blue highlights to run through his hair, which previously were not there before.
-Other side effects/repercussions of this are still being discovered (such as Tsukito having reduced sight, among other things)
-Fun Fact: Tsukito almost made it in time to heal Una properly, but didn't, so Una actually died in his arms after not seeing him for 4 days straight.
-This incident stemmed from an argument the two had involving flirting (with others "harmlessly"), jealousy, and miscommunication.
-He died by a diremite attack (In Game: the FATE "Love is in the Air") when helping some wood wailers take care of a diremite problem. He got separated from the group (due to not sleeping well for the 4 days after his and Tsukito's argument) and was impaled by one of their tail spikes before being thrown from said tail.

The Sunanala Clan

-Mainly Plainsfolk clan (only mother is Dunesfolk) but Hails from Ishgard
-Upper-Middle-class Merchant/Trading family, based in metal-smithing and trade business.
-Moved to Ishgard after being granted permissions to be within the city for assistance in trade and items towards Ishgard's war against the dragons. Gained permissions via the High House Durendaire.
-While the Parents were born, raised, and married outside of Ishgard, all 5 children were born within the city.
-Have good relations with many of the Middle-Upper-High House class citizens, but are a quieter to-themselves family, not wanting to draw any negative impressions of themselves. Very keen about appearances.
-Father is head of house, training eldest son to take over family business. Both are unkind to the younger children of the household, especially Una, from too high-set expectations leading to physical "disciplinary" actions, thus leading to many complications within the family relationships.
-Mother and Father were married more for business profits, through an arranged marriage, though they do get along well.
-Mother is a Dunesfolk, while father is Plainsfolk, thus making all five children half of each type, though all display Plainsfolk physical attributes
-Una's Mother
-Una's First Younger Sister
-Una's Second Younger Sister
-Una's Younger Brother

Effect on Una

-Doesn't mind colder Climates
-Part of the reason he was easily persuaded to join the Lancers Guild, he's always looked up to Dragoons.
-Finds it ironic that he finds Au Ra so aesthetically pleasing considering his background
-Due to being upper-middle class, that's where a good portion of the pressure from his family to exceed as his older brother had stems from.
-Part of the reason the Mafia he's Godfather to is based out of the Holy See.
-While he likes the city itself, Una is not particulayly religious (he believes, but doesn't actively worship), which caused extra tension
-When visiting Ishgard for whatever reason, Una often wears various Visors (often of Dragoon design) to hide his face so that he isn't recognized.
-Father and older brother's harsh behavior and actions towards Una is a root cause of many of his issues, especially with people, including but not limited to his disliking of being touched, public displays of affection (which he's working to overcome now that he's met Tsukito). It also contributed to his rather high pain tolerance, amongst other things.
-Became very protective of his younger siblings, often drawing negative attention to himself when they did something to anger their father/eldest brother to keep them out of harms way
-Is closest to Suna in age, and in relationship. They often relied on each other before the younger two siblings were born for support. Cares a lot about her opinion because of it.
-The two youngest siblings admire Una quite a bit and he's protective of them. They were more emotional support while he lived with his family in Ishgard, and because of his protection, they grew up to be much more stable and healthy than he did. They are a good portion of why Una likes children so much and works well with kids.
-Used to be very much a "grin and bear it" sort of person, when it came to physicality. He's improved vastly since leaving, however.
