Urien Rhaegal ( Pronunciation: yoo-ree-in ray-gall ), more commonly known amongst his friends as Uri, is a sweet-natured and gentle young Auri man leading a mysterious double life in an attempt to better himself as a person, and take a stand against corruption. Going by an alias, he takes up arms as the dark knight Bête Noire to combat evil that thinks itself above the reach of justice. He is joined in this endeavor by his best friend Tilidi Salidi, himself going by the alias of Blanca Noche, the beautiful white mage. When not engaging in acts of justice, Urien can be found reading and crafting alchemical concoctions in the cozy home that he shares with Tilidi. The two have been friends for years, and are almost always seen together.
Though tall and imposing, Urien is rather young and stands shorter than most grown male Au Ra. He is also slight of build due to his age, and possesses gentle facial features and kind, though striking, silver eyes. His long navy hair is kept up in a simple ponytail, and his deep bluish complexion and dark, Xaelan scales make him easy to spot. Urien's horns sweep forward, and end in small silver caps, while his tail is long and narrow, and tipped with soft barbs that bend when enough pressure is exerted on them. He tends to favor light colored clothes, and can be frequently seen wearing his white scion adventurer's jacket, a favorite of his. His vision unfortunately, is poor, so he wears glasses to correct this.
He tends to come off as unapproachable based on his appearance alone, and this can sadden him, but when others find themselves up close and personal, his true, gentle nature quickly comes to light.

Facial Tattoo: Urien possesses deep black tattoos around each of his eyes. These stand in stark contrast with them, and were given to him during his time with the Kahkol.

Sensitive. Compassionate. Unassertive. As a result of his rather harsh childhood and subsequent rearing by the Kahkol, and later a family of kind hyur, Urien suffers from self-esteem and confidence issues that make him easy to push around and intimidate. Despite his sheer size, he always seeks to please, and hardly ever has a bad word to say about anyone that isn't outright evil. As of late however, he has become all too aware of his own apprehension. Frightened by what might one day happen to him, or someone he cares about deeply should he fail to act in an emergency, Urien has taken steps to overcome his meek-willed nature.
As a person, Urien is sweet, and compassionate to a fault. His kindness stems from his desire to be liked and not feared, as people are often wont to do at first sight. He is highly empathetic to others, and tries to help in any way he can if asked. This overtly benevolent behavior may come off as exasperating to some. In conversation, he is mild-mannered, and a good listener, though he is hesitant to spend any extended period of time talking about himself.
Taking up the art of the Dark Knight and coming to peace with his own frustrations at being taken for granted, Urien clad himself in concealing armor and became Bête Noire.

Aloof. Brusque. Unsentimental.
Noire's detatched, distant attitude belies his intense desire for justice. Though he may seem cold and uncaring, his heart is righteous. To the innocent, he is a protector. To evil, he is unforgiving. His code declares that none are above the reach of justice, and no matter the perpetrator, no matter their rank or social status, the law cannot protect them.
Noire speaks little, and usually allows his partner Blanca to speak on his behalf. When he does choose to verbalize, his voice can be described as gruff and husky.
- READING : An avid reader, Urien's expansive collection of books is a central fixture of his room. He is messy by nature however, and as an unfortunate consequence of this, his various tomes end up scattered not only around his room, but certain areas of the house as well.
- ALCHEMY : Having taken up the craft to be able to help the wounded and those in need, Urien thoroughly enjoys concocting potions and restoratives, both to sell and for his friends who would need them.
- THUNDER THE CHOCOBO : Urien's trusty steed, this mighty chocobo is his pride and joy. Though she is exceptionally large, she displays the same gentle qualities of her master, and he loves her dearly.
- FOOD : Being a male Au Ra, Urien's great size comes with an even greater appetite. He normally eats as many as two or even three times as much as a midlander hyur of his age. Sadly, despite all his alchemical knowledge, Urien has never taught himself how to cook, and as such, he is highly dependent on his best friend Tilidi Salidi to cook his meals. That the Lalafell never tires of this daunting task is a testament to their friendship.
- ARROGANCE : Urien may be kind to a fault, but if there's one thing he genuinely can't stand, it's unrestrained arrogance. He feels as though everyone should be equal with one another, not parading themselves above.
- BEING ALONE : Uri's frightening childhood has left him with deep-seated fears of abandonment, and as such, he suffers from separation anxiety. After meeting his best friend Tilidi, Urien was quick to imprint on him, and never likes to be away from his side for very long. He's made considerable progress since they first met, but his fears are still there.
- PHYSICAL STRENGTH : As an Au Ra male, Urien is naturally blessed with great strength. However, he hardly ever makes use of it outside battle.
- BILINGUAL : Born to the Tumet, Urien speaks both his birth tribe's dialect, and the Kahkol dialect of Xaelan fairly well. Years of not having to speak his native tongue however have made him a bit rusty, and when speaking his language, the two dialects tend to merge.
- EASILY STEPPED ON : Unusually for an Au Ra male, Urien is easily intimidated and pushed around. His low self-confidence make him an easy target for those seeking to exploit his kindness. .
- SEPERATION ANXIETY : Abandoned at only ten summers old, Urien has developed strong separation anxiety, and never likes to far from his best friend, Tilidi. He has made progress over the years, but the issue still lingers.
- BEING ALONE : Due to his separation anxiety, Urien naturally fears being alone. He spent much of his childhood alone, searching for his parents before eventually being taken in by the Kahkol tribe.
- OWN WEAKNESS : Urien has become aware of his own weakness and is terrified that his indecision and submissive nature will cost him dearly someday. He doesn't want to lose someone he loves because of his own inability to act.
- FAVORITE FOOD : Braised Pipira. Urien loves fish, and this dish is arguably his favorite, especially when it's prepared by Tilidi.

The best way to make sure we have the opportunity to RP regularly is to plan ahead for it, at least a day in advance. That gives me time to adjust my schedule and make time for you best.
- ■ There are multiple people that I roleplay with. If you are easily made jealous OOCly by the prospect of me RPing with someone else or having to politely decline your offer for RP sometimes because I have promised someone else RP, then I am not the partner for you.
- ■ That said, I may be roleplaying with someone you personally dislike. Feel free to mention it to me so that I can avoid putting you two in a situation where you have to interact. But I don't want to know all your drama, dirty laundry, or sordid history with this person. And absolutely do not try to police who I choose to RP with, please.
