I am a semi-casual RPer who is here to have fun, network and enjoy my time spent among my fellow RPers. I should note here that I am not always IC. I would prefer a tell be sent my way if you plan to post at me! Likewise I am sometimes busy. I play FFXIV (the game itself) as well as RP. I promise that, if I am busy, I will get back to you. If I do not, then please send another my way! It may have gotten lost. I promise I am not ignoring you! I am also a busy person IRL. I work a lot! I also am often doing art or just taking time to veg out. For this reason I can be slow. Please keep this in mind before considering me for RP. Personal RP Limits Everyone has their limits in RP and I try to be as understanding of the feelings of others as I can be while RPing. My personal limits are (generally) fairly basic and universal. The golden rule is still king and communication OOC is a requirement. I don't want OOC drama, so please don't bring it my way. I also will not roleplay with anyone who demands auto-hits/godmoding/powerplaying or whatever you want to call it. Jaran is a powerful and strong character, but I will always give other players the OOC option to back out if he throws a punch or something. More specific things I will and will not RP include: ■ I will play fade-to-black scenes, 'let's say we did' scenes, violence, blackmail, robbery/mugging, piracy (duh), general antagonism and other 'mature' themes. I like ongoing plots and story but also enjoy simple, one-shot RPs just as much. ■ I won't play anything that is along the lines of rape, whether it is implied/ftb or not. I don't mind characters whose backstory (or current story) has these elements, but neither I nor my character will actually take part in it. I also don't do 'alternate timeline' roleplay. It's just a preference of mine as I like to keep my story linear and have every action have a consequence. I also dislike retconning RP, primarily because it often effects more than just the two people involved in the retcon. I have no right to tell you what to do with your character, however I would prefer this particular method of severance (should it have to come to that) to be used as sparingly as possible. CHARACTER TIDBITS Potential Plot Hooks I'm pretty open to potential plots! If you have an idea, I'm all ears. Here are a few of mine that I extend to the general public. ■ Other Au Ra. Namely from the Dotharl and Kha tribes. It would be nice to see others who remember Jaran from the days either from his birth to his abduction by the Garlean empire (Dotharl) or those who were a part of his tribe after he sought asylum with the Kha tribe. These can be friends, rivals, bullies, previous love interests and more. I'm open to just about anything here and it would be great to flesh out more of his history with others who already RP these types! (Please do not make a character just for my sake, however. I would prefer to network with a character that has their own life and all that already!) ■ Other pirates! Whether this is Jaran's crewmembers (again, please do not make a character just for my sake!), rival pirate troupes or more. Jaran has a history of going after pirates, particularly those involved in the flesh trade. He will not hesitate to squash competition if he needs to, and finds the flesh trade particularly revolting. In particular, he tends to hunt these types down, free their slaves, burn their 'tainted' ships and steal their valuables. ■ Victims of pirates! Has your character been a victim of Jaran's thievery and swindling? Or perhaps they're one of the aforementioned previous slaves that Jaran has set free (or one that still needs freeing). Whatever the case, I would be glad to plot with you, playing either the antagonist or the anti-hero. ■ Law enforcement! Are you the type who plays a character who might want to try and bring Jaran to justice? I would absolutely love to hear from you! Let's start a fun game of cat and mouse. ■ Just walk up! If I'm open and RPing, then come on over and start something with me. Promise I don't bite. Unless you're into that, I guess. Character Lore Adherence Jaran was made to adhere to the lore provided via the game and Encyclopedia Eorzea, with some liberties taken to create a backstory. I am lenient on the lore and tend to stick to the general rule of 'as long as it's not proven impossible, it's possible'. I'm relaxed about rules; after all, we are playing in a Final Fantasy universe! I would like to meet and network with other roleplayers who feel the same way.

Of the Twelve, he favors Nald'thal. ■ Alias: Jaran Kha ■ Citizenship: TEXT ■ Occupation: "Courier" and liberator of pilfered goods. (A fancy way of saying pirate). He also tends to mercenary and security work, with Crescent being his primary means of 'lawful employment'. ■ Hair color: Dark purple (nearly black), lightening slightly at the ends. ■ Eye color: Bright violet. ■ Complexion: A deep, reddish-brown. ■ Piercings: Several.
