Basic Info

Kudros Crendravens is...lets just say very laissez-faire. At the best of times he attempts to do nothing at all, seeing that he always feels the need to be lethargic and will only move when something makes him do so, but a few stern words is usually enough. Even though his laziness is quite evident at times and it seems that his work ethic is poor, he does take his work, whatever it may be seriously, he may just need a push start to get the working done, but do not hesitate to ask him to do something, he may huff and moan, but will most probably get it done...eventually. Bar this he is a very self-aware Hyur and is fairly independent trying not to rely on others much due to thinking he may become a burden, or they may become a burden on him. Of course he means well at heart, he will always try and talk and better himself by interacting with others, conversing and taking interest when he can and loves to learn about people stories, where they come from and what they plan to do with there future but by some people this can be seen as more annoying than anything else. He can come across as extremely sarcastic at times, be it when he is arguing with people or telling a story but he never means to insult or harm feelings, its just the way he conducts himself.

Kudros followed under Athylk for a while back after Dalamunds fall after he recovered, he prayed and devoted himself to the Deity for just over a year, he lost intrest swiftly after an argument with him and a couple of other Devotees (seekers of the future) after he shunned them for not being strong enough to help him bring his mother back, he believed if he followed and prayed Athylk and devoted his time and energy towards him, that he would be given a chance to turn back time and see his mother again, after being told of his greed and ill-intent he hung up his 'robe' and moved on with his life.

Kudros has little to no affinity with magic, he can adjust the Aether is his lower body, giving him a dragoon-esque jump but not much more.

Petyr Crendraven Petyr is Kudros father and also his boss, from a young age Kudros was split from Petyr, leaving his sight at the young age of three. Around a decade and a bit passed before he met with him again and from then on their relationship has been nothing but a disaster, Petyr owns and runs a supply business which doubles up as a Black Market deals hub, the facade being that is works simply like a Post Office but underneath its dusty exterior it is something alot worse. Petyr is a tough, bitter, brash Highlander with an extremely low tolerance for failure. He is however aware of how Kudros perceives him and would like to change the way they see eye to eye, but with the amount of effort it would take to sway Kudros to like him again and how much more efficient Kudros is in his work without having to try and please his father at every turn, he decided to stay the bad guy. He does however want to one day sit Kudros down and finally talk about his own relationship with Elaine, being that both there relationships with the woman ending abruptly.

Elaine Farrah Elaine holds a very much more poignant grasp on Kudros life. At the age of three Kudros left to travel with Elaine as she worked as a Logistical officer in the Maelstrom, she trained him and brought him up very much to take over in her stead, she was a strong woman and extremely set in her ways, she would often come across harsh and rustic during there time together but would always make amends at the end of the day, as Kudros grew and matured through the coming years she started to make him more independent and always push him to do things on his own, although it seemed like a harsh reality to live Elaine would always remind him that it was the best and she only wanted him to become strong because one day he would have to protect his own, the same way she did. At the age of sixteen Elaine came to Ul-dah to hand over Kudros to his father, due to her work becoming increasingly more erratic with the Garlean empire looming over. • ● Oskan Martel Kudros relation with the slightly obscure Hyur was slow to begin with, but after a...less than successful mission together he grew quite fond of him, due to the fact even knowing about his Job and the way he operates still went out of his way to protect him, Kudros holds great respect in that fact and would consider him a close friend. Querks and all.

• ● Rosalinde Thorne Although he saw Rosa as more of a vent at first and after a few un-successful bouts with her, he really didn't feel like they were going to get along. Thankfully she still held some hope in him, saving him multiple times from various monsters and less then respectable people. Due to this fact he has become more accustomed to her, even taking strides to better there relationship, seeing her more of an annoying man-handling big sister than beforehand.

After Dalamud's Fall

Although Kudros was not involved in the battle of Cartneau and neither was his mother, he was still assaulted by an imposing Garlean shock troop. Just before Dalamuds fall, as you can read above. Kudros moved into the Maelstrom, with his Mothers aiding words up top, he was quickly pushed up into Officer training, even at the young age.

As I wrote above, the onslaught came hard and fast and nothing could of been done, Elaine only focused on saving Kudros, despite her best efforts of defending him she eventually came to fatigue and injury, the Garlean force just being to much for her to take on alone. On a last ditch effort to save them both Elaine took her son and jumped with him off a nearby cliff ace. The fall along with the extensive amount of injury's Elaine received, meant she hadn't much left in her. With a last ditch effort from Elaine, she managed to pull her son to safety on a nearby shore.

Kudros awoke soon after to find his Mother, broken, bruised and on the brink of death. What almost felt like an eternity he knelt over his dying Mother, crying and screaming for help...but alas none came. Minutes past and his mother showed only drastic worsening in her condition, before she managed to utter her last words, and commit her final act as a Mother and Tutor, she reached out and grabbed Kudros hand and pinned it to her bloody chest. Her eyes brimmed with tears and her dusty eyes stared directly into his.

"You have always been...and forever will be the light that guides my life."

Her soft voice trailed off, and all that could be heard after was the slow washing of the shore waves. Kudros had completely shut down, his mental state had been pushed so far it locked off any other emotions and forced him into a state of induced catatonia. The stress and anger consumed him and he became a husk for that very moment, he tears stopped and his breathing settled whislt he knelt there staring down at his dead Mother.

Hours passed until word finally got out to nearby forces, and Kudros woke up later in a field hospital.

His brain was fried and he had started to develop a Stress Induced Catatonic state, over time his memories of before Dalamuds fall and during starting to fade and dissipate and for other a year he laid bed-ridden, stuck in this stint of catatonia.
