History

Before the Cataclysm, Roelle was a promising young officer in the Wood Wailers. A whirlwind romance with a miqo'te girl she knew only as "Yohli" preceded the appearance of a potent new drug on the Gridanian black market. Investigations led to a gang of poachers calling themselves the "Blue Mist" who had branched out into smuggling and caravan raiding with a level of execution that was too good for a rag-tag group of Keepers. A significant amount of mayhem occurred before Roelle discovered that Yohli was their inside agent, and had been using their relationship as a cover while dealing drugs and performing espionage. The Blue Mist were repelled and their foul drug purged from the market, but not before Yohli escaped with the rest of the Blue Mist leaders into the desert. Dishonored by her involvement with the spy, Roelle resigned from the Wailers and struck out on her own to track down the gang, find the source of their drug, and put an end to both.
In the chaos following the start of the Seventh Umbral Era, survival preempted justice. As the Blue Mist's trail went cold, Roelle turned to a darker path, making herself a player in the criminal underworlds of Ul'dah and Limsa Lominsa. She has maintained that lifestyle ever since, keeping an ear to the ground for rumors about Yohli, the Blue Mist, or their product.
