Basic Info
Elezean Woman of the Sormanu's a low to middle class family. Mother, Anne, a commoner whose beauty had her father, some 15years older then her, marry her and bring her out of her poverty. Her father, Evalin, now deceased, had a real obsession to climb the society and move from his low condition to a higher sphere, cruel and mean, treated mother and daughter as his slave and personal properties.
History
Sophia was born some 40 odd years ago. Her father had high hopes that he would have a son. Alas it was not the case.
Sophia lived a lot of her life as a slave of sort, secluded in a room to learn the ways of a warrior, the obsession of her father, until he decided that his daughter, a mere object to him, was not useful anymore, as she would never become a Templar, his dream, and therefore decided that he would get rid of her and marry her to a rich merchant of Ishgard, a man of the high society, another way for Sophia's father to climb the society.
Sophia did not see that way and, with the help of her mother and a dear friend of hers, now deceased, Dominique, one night she fled from Ishgard and left her slave life behind to begin a new journey, knowing that she would never go back to Ishgard till her father was alive and so it happened. Over the time she spent away from her mother's land, she was married twice, once her husband simply disappeared, maybe killed or kidnapped and the second time, the Man was like her father, she did not tolerated it and left him. Since, she went back to Ishgard at her father's death and now and then returns home to take care of her mother and of some of the wealth her father left them. Both, mother and daughter, live very well with little means but happy.
Personality
Sophia is a very stubborn person, stronged-willed, she does not bow to anyone. To some, she may appear cold and haughty, to others, that maybe know her better, she is an extremely reliable friend, a good listener, and advisor, she will never sugar coat her words and anyone can expect only one thing from her honesty, she does not care much of other's people ego, as far as this goes. She dresses often covered from head to toes, something she always liked. If people do not approach her, she will rarely approach anyone. There is much to discover and time may be required to do so. She does not mind observing for long moments in silence, the ongoings in the street of Ulda'h when she goes out of her house, a small flat she has bought in Ul’dah’s suburbs.
Affiliations
As much as she would like to find happiness in this world, not much has come her way. She is still a heart to win, but not enough braves ones to do so.. She also has a soft spot for two very special friends in her life, even if time does not allow her to see them often, when she manages is always a very nice moment in her day.
Other Notes
Sophia aspires to a simple life. Non fighter, calm in appearance, she can be a real fury if situation requires it. She believes in non fighting and that women do not belong on a war field, if not only to defend themselves and children. She tries not to judge others, even if some things bothers her a lot. All she want is to find her niche in this land and live a happy, quiet life, among her beloved ones and some business she does now and then. So far, life has not been kind with her, maybe one day she will settle with that man that can understand her and take her life one step further.
