Cerriden Teku changed her first name from Kishiko to a Eorzean name when she arrived in Limsa Lominsa and was taken in by the Arcanist guild. Cerriden seemed easier for Limsans to pronounce and it also was her way of leaving her broken past behind her to be someone new and better. She is a 30 year old Raen Au'ra refugee. Her parents were engineers that were conscripted by the Garlean empire. They managed to have Cerriden smuggled out of Doma before she reached the age where she could be forced into the army.
The ship that she was put on was caught in a gale storm off the coast of Limsa Lominsa and it capsized where 115 souls were lost at sea. It was either luck or divine intervention or a combination of both that lead Cerriden to the shores of Lavender Beds. The Gridanians were highly suspicious of her appearance and were about to question her when she escaped and made her way to New Gridania. Unable to fend for herself, she took to stealing to get the food to fill her empty belly. She was eventually caught and thrown in prison where she spent six months. When they released her, she stowed away on a ship inside a crate of apples that she thought was heading to Ul'dah where she had heard the rest of the refugees were.
Unfortunately, the ship was actually headed to Limsa Lominsa. She was locked in a Limsan warehouse and it wasn't until a week later that she was found by Arcanists- after she had eaten her way through the entire crate of apples. She was brought up in front of Thubyrgeim, the master of the Arcanist's guild. Thubyrgeim saw Cerriden's tenacity and keen attention to detail as valuable skills and eventually coaxed her into taking up the grimoire to become an Arcanist herself.
Appearance & PersonalityDemeanor: She's clumsy. She is always sporting bruises or cuts that she gets from fights she accidentally finds herself in or from tripping and falling for some reason or another. She's always hungry and is greedy when it comes to food. She'll eat pretty much everything that would remotely pass as edible. She is keen to notice details despite her absentminded demeanor.
Nature: Impatient, rash and quick to act. She will change her mind in a moment based on little to no fact. Sometimes, this works out but most times, Cerriden is eyeball deep in trouble.
Habits: She's very honest. Often, she will tell the absolute truth with such sincerity that many find her suspicious. She hoards food about her person.
Common Appearance: She's tall and lanky. She has dark purple skin, bright pink eyes and ombre hair that goes from light pink at the roots to dark purple at the tips. She keeps her hair short but it's often frizzy and knotted, nettles, leaves and twigs are known to wind up there sometimes.
Clothing: Her clothing is often ripped, torn, stained or frayed because she's so clumsy and so terrible with her money that she rarely has the capital to mend or replace her clothes.

AbilitiesShe is tenacious. She won't give up and is good at making the best of a bad situation. Since she's so rash and forgetful, it has made her very good at extricating herself from plans gone awry. She's very optimistic, which has helped her to never lose hope in the darkest of hours.
She's can be somewhat hedonistic and greedy. She also has a bad habit of forgetting that her actions will inevitably affect those around her.
