General

Valentinoix (Pronounced Val-un-TEEN-wah) is a true jack of all trades, and will tell you that he's held near every job a man may take. Of course, if you were to notice just how young he is, it makes it obvious that he never had any of them for very long. Fact of the matter is, outside of fighting, playing music and singing... He's kind of bad at... everything. A bit awkward, too, and easily discouraged in social situations.

Appearance

A tall Elezen, with slightly sun kissed skin and a typical slender frame of his race. His hair is dark, near black with deep red highlights. Pale scars adorn his freckled cheeks, one going from his brow to his cheek, and his eyes are two different shades of a deep reddish purple, the right one having been lost and replaced by a glass facsimile.

Personality

Val is kind, soft on pretty girls and boys, and always tries his best to make people happy, even if it's to his own detriment. He's a workaholic, though, and doesn't really know how to have fun, a result of having been forced to grow up far too fast, far too young.

He's got some talent with most weapons, but is currently best with a bow in his hands.

History/Timeline

Valentinoix was born on an island village away from the continent of Eorzea. His mother was a innkeep who had a lot of children, some adopted, many her own, and he never knew his father. The children more or less were to take care of themselves, when not helping to run the tavern. Valentinoix's talent for music was found early when he picked up an instrument and played with a small group of musicians at the inn. When he was still young, the island was attacked and taken by the Garlean empire, he survived, and was pressed into service. As far as he knows or is aware, his family is dead, and his home a crater that rises above the waves.

The Elezen was at the Battle of Cartneau, spotting and ranging for artillery. Having no real love for the empire in his heart, he quit the field at the quickest opportunity. After the calamity, he spent the next five years wandering, taking jobs before finding himself in Gridania, where he decided to attempt the life of the adventurer.
