Character
General
Velinnaria Victoria (Pronounced Vell-nn-ar-iaah) is a light-hearted Miqo'te whose early life is best left forgotten. Fiercely loyal to her friends and acquaintances alike. She despises senseless cruelty and will even consciously adjust her footing to avoid stepping creatures that may be lurking peacefully beneath her feat.
While not prone to violence, Velinnaria will resort to even the most drastic of measures to ensure the well being of her friends. Often causing herself great emotional distress after the fighting has ended.

History/Timeline
Cassum was discovered by a paladin named Velinn Victoria during a raid on underground prostitution in the hustling strip. Velinn found the girl, both battered and bruised, frantically trying to clean the bloodied floor with her own shirt.
"Master will be angry" the girl mumbled as she continued scrubbing. The girl didn't seem to even notice Velinn's presence until his shadow engulfed her.
Velinn reached out his hand to her and she immediately curled up into a ball and began sobbing.
"Cassum didn't do this, Cassum good girl, Cassum did as master commanded, no hurt Cassum." said Cassum in-between sobs.
Velinn patted the girls hair before picking her up into his arms. Only then did the paladin realize just how much this small girl weighed. So heavy was the girl, that the paladin was forced to drop both his sword and shield in order to comfortably carry her away from the horrors of the battles aftermath.
Velinn brought the still shaking gril to the home of his old friend and former guild-master Yoyobia.
Upon there arrival Yoyobia began to examine both the girls physical and mental state. When the Guildmaster asked for her name, the girl merely replied with Cassum. While this confused Velinn, his former masters eyes filled with a rage that seemed to cause the rooms ambient temperature to rise several degrees and to cause the girl to curl up into a ball and begin to shake.
"That bastard." was all Yoyobia said before leaving the room.
Hours later Guildmaster Yoyobia returned with Cocobuki, of the Thaumaturges.
"Velinn" Yoyobia said "Please remove her cloths. It is unfortunate but this is something we must do to understand what has been done with her."
Velinn began removing her tattered cloths with tears in his eyes.
The girls body was covered in bruises. The largest of which seem to be around her wrist, ankles, and neck. However, upon seeing the bruise along one of her wrists, Velinn noticed several blackened lines running across her arms.
"Those are her veins, Velinn." Cocobuki said following Velinn's eyes "Countless substances have been injected into the poor girl during her time with Tero. I am going to begin the examination. With any luck I will be able to identify the substances."
Velinn felt a squeeze on his hand that caused the tears he had been trying to hard to hold back to flow openly as the room around them began to glow.
"It is far worse than you feared, Yoyobia. The girl's body has been twisted and altered in ways I cannot easily explain to those not familiar with both advanced alchemy and transmutation."
"Are these "alterations" as you say, the reason for this girls surprising weight?" Velinn asked.
"Indeed" Cocobuki muttered "Her surprising weight is due to the increased density of her bone structure. In fact it would seem that her bones have been infused with Mythril."
"Mythril?" Yoyobia said with an astonished sigh "Is that even possible?"
"With enough talent and materials, magic makes anything possible." Cocobuki said "However, it seems the process used on her was done hastily and is seemingly incomplete. Several alterations must be made to ensure her health. However, I'm afraid nothing can be done about her growth."
"What do you mean?" Velinn said quickly
"I mean her height will never increase. She will remain at her present high until the end of her days." Cocobuki said sadly.
Several days after Cocobuki's initial visit, Cassus now named Aria by Velinn slowly seemed to be adapting to her new life. While still unwilling to leave the safety of Yoyobia's residence, Aria loved to watch the world outside. Something even as mundane as a sunset astonished the girl.
Alas, Aria's quiet life of self-induced solitude was not to last.
Nay a month had past since her salvation from the dreaded Arch-Thaumaturge when a courier from the Sultansworn arrived at Guildmaster Yoyobia residence.
The news the courier was tasked with delivering would once again forever change poor Aria's life.
The Paladin Velinn Victoria had been slain by the Former-Arch-Thaumaturges Daniel Tero during a raid on his residence, but not before Tero himself had been slain by one of Velinn's fellow paladins.
"Aria, I'm going to bring Velinn home, please wait for me here. I've instructed the guild to deliver meals for you while I'm gone. I've also left a small pouch of gil beneath the old stair case should you decide to venture outside of the house." said Yoyobia with a grin before leaving his home.
Several weeks had past and Yoyobia had yet to return. When Aria asked for information from the guild members who brought her meals, she was met with an cold silence.
Then one day, the meals stopped coming, and a man claiming to be from something called "The Bank of Ul'Dah" came to the Yoyobia's home and informed her she had to vacate the premises immediately.
When Aria tried to ask what "Vacate and premises meant" she found herself thrown into the dirt. The man began kicking her repeatedly while screaming "Scum like her aren't allowed to speak to a man of his stature."
Eventually the beating stopped and aria opened her eyes to see the man panting, now exhausted from his brutal assault.
"You filthy whore" he sighed as Aria began to stand "You don't deserve to live! YOU ARE NOTHI"
The man never was able to finish his sentence before a small fist shattered several of his ribs and ruptured his lungs. He was dead before his body reached the ground.
"No, No, NO! ARIA IS NOT NOTHING, ARIA IS SOMETHING ARIA IS ARIA!" she said hysterically as blood pooled around her.
"Aria." said a voice behind her.
When she turned around she saw the form of a man dressed in black.
"What have you done Aria?" Cocobuki said with a sad tone "Quickly. We must leave before the Brass Blades come. We don't have much time!"
Aria now understanding what she had done slumped onto the ground.
"Aria...Aria didn't...Aria didn't mean to hur..." Aria's voice trailed off as tears began falling from her eyes.
"The man was a bastard." Cocobuki said coldly "He deserved far worse than this. Come now. We must get you to the Airship. You must leave Ul'Dah."
Everything after that seemed like a daze to Aria. She had been given a letter and a pouch of coin before being sent on her way to Limsa Lominsa. The birth place of Velinn Victoria or so she had been told. Cocobuki had also given her a new name to both cement her new identity and her past.
Velinnaria Victoria.
Velinnaria, now abandoned and alone set to learn all she could about the man who had delivered her from her eternal torment at the cost of his own life and to one day follow in the light of his footsteps.
