He exhibits a physique chiseled and defined by battle and valiant feats, treading throughout the world of Eorzea with pride and compelling confidence. With the blood of both clans coursing through his veins, Vhalken frequently finds himself mistaken for an abnormally large Midlander, his tanned features indicating more boyish characteristics that most Highlander men are not accustomed to. Despite his assorted blood, Vhalken dons it like a badge of honor and pride, embracing within his heart the best of both worlds of Hyur, a paragon of their influential presence and undeniable potential
Combat:
"Thy reckless abandon at the expense of thine own aether.. Animus? Could thou truly utilize the blade as a conduit, the blemish that tholes you so. Ifsoever you lose control and become this… aether grease’d fist that burst through reality. Let none come ‘twixt us, aye, I will cut you down. Not fain’d am I in such revelations, but… with the love we share, I could not let ye becometh that which you seek to defend against." - Galaihaurat Oraguille
Vhalken’s fighting style relies on his vast array of techniques to keep his opponent staggered and guessing. He utilizes Animus, a monumental greatsword reaching 7 feet in length. Harnessing its vast width of steel like an extension of his body, Vhalken trounces his enemies with overpowering force and artistry, demonstrating mastery of swordsmanship that exemplifies elegance with raw power. When held in front of him, the fuller of his great third arm is broad enough to act as a shield, employing the colossal blade defensively against projectiles and other melee blows. With a single swing of Animus, Vhalken can cut through enemies wearing heavy armor, arraying his sheer ferocity on the field of battle.
With his symphony of raw iron and steel, Vhalken sweeps and cleaves Animus like a windmill of mayhem and destruction, immobilizing his foes into submission with devastating brute strength and inherent technique. Despite the sheer power behind his swordsmanship, Vhalken is generally slow and highly dependent on momentum and distance to utilize Animus to its greatest potential. Each sweep and lunge of the mighty blade ushers forth a grand velocity and force that bears down upon his foes with an unstoppable might. However, Animus’ onslaught is at its most vulnerable when building its momentum, susceptible to quick ripostes and dodges to stop the avalanche of force before it even begins.
Behavior:
Vhalken can be over-bearing and irrational during times of conflict, and though his tenacity is creditable, the resolve he conveys frequently attracts danger. Exceedingly bold and pigheaded, he often takes risks despite the odds, but because of this he has demonstrated several heroic feats in his existence. Renowned for jeopardizing his own well being throughout daring battle, Vhalken will not hesitate to expose himself to injury if given the opportunity of victory, willing to drop his guard to coax an arrogant foe into a futile attack. Many view Vhalken’s tendencies as insanity, believing him to be a foolish man who was simply throwing his life away on a whim for the sake of heroics. Despite his brazen antics, Vhalken is respectful and polite when those deserve it, illustrating a friendly demeanor and cheerful outlook on life that left an impression of optimism and hope. Due to Vhalken’s size, he has come to acquire nourishment beyond the conventional, his appetite for food insatiable, a bottomless pit of gluttony and uncompromising hunger that would leave the largest of mess halls barren, yet even then his stomach would yearn for the next great meal.
He values honor above all else, and as such Vhalken goes to great lengths to keep that honor intact without compromise. The influence of Vhalken’s ideals burns within his very core like a stoked flame, bearing a strong sense of justice and morality that he follows with great devotion and unwavering vigor. Despite his complimentary traits, Vhalken is known to be exceptionally stubborn and prideful, conveying a self-righteous mentality that he has yet to fully realize. He displays gullible tendencies that would leave some questioning his intelligence, enduring strenuous efforts to aid individuals that would sooner take advantage of him with deceitful intention.
