Basic Info

A young woman descended from nobility, Vielle was well on her way to be preened into a very nice, prim, and proper young woman... Up until the point that her house was largely killed by a witch hunt. Now, she's little more than a brash brawler who lives job to job. She's not altogether social, often used to jobs where her fists do the talking, though when approached she's more than friendly, with a bit of a condescending streak.

She often finds herself getting into trouble, simply from being a little too quick to jump into situations, and has been arrested more than a few times for doing some crimelord's seemingly-innocent deeds, accepting their word (and their coin) at face value.

History

Vielle comes from House Catoire, one of many Duskwight families that held a large claim between Gridania and Ishgard. Her family was notable only in their conformity to the laws of Ishgard, otherwise run-of-the-mill in other regards. As with a great deal of Ishgardian families, as well, her house was accused of crimes related to both Dravania and voidsent. Her house was systematically put to death, a variety of official executions mixed with hate crimes as word spread. She was sent away quickly by her maidservants, smuggled to Ul'dah and taught the basics of fistfighting, given enough money to keep her roomed in the Hourglass for years.

Personality

Vielle is a kind person, though she often takes the value of coin over that of friendship. She has a broken sense of loyalty, and often stays reserved, the only fragments of her family's past known to her bad enough that she wishes to avoid speaking of it. She often lies to others, saying that she was raised in Little Ala Mhigo, lending to her training as a fistfighter. Her sloppy style and lack of real discipline would likely be seen through with little trouble to anyone with even a basic understanding of monkhood, however.

Combat

Vielle is best described as a "Sloppy fistfighter". She often sends blows rather wide, and has little precision. She makes up for this with enough physical training that even a glancing blow will often knock a lesser opponent flat. She has also been seen as fighting rather well while inebriated in some form or another, her sloppy fighting amplified with an almost complete ignorance to pain.
