General:

Curiously, the refugee from the Far East remarks little when pressed about his home, but the look given is enough for any with at least some social grace. The accomplished swordsman has taken largely to the roads of Eorzea since the arrival of his people en masse, leaving behind the quaint allowances they were afforded in such a turbulent time within their new home. Rather than taking to a craft and applying it to repaying the generosity of their new-found allies, Yuudai practices an artistry that is well respected in a realm of discord and danger.

Nicknames and Aliases: As far as traveling goes, there are many who would sooner refer to someone by race or by some sort of trait. This is the same concerning the Au Ra swordsman. However, where the Doman people are concerned, there are those who lived within the same settlement as the swordsman, referring to him with different names than what he would give. There are elders who would call the swordsman Taro or Katashi, resulting in slight embarrassment by the man.

Appearance:

In the bustling crowds of an Eorzean marketplace, there are many hulking figures that surely stick out such as the Highlanders and the Elezen that act as veritable towers. Much like these figures, the Au Ra join them, standing up high with their heads in the clouds. Standing tall at almost exactly seven fulm, Yuudai finds himself ducking in doorways and attempting to navigate low ceilings very carefully with mild annoyance. Like many from the Far East, Yuudai's hair is something of fancy among Eorzean fashion, giving what would otherwise be considered a simple ponytail by many a stylistic flavor of the East. With long dirty blonde hair, Yuudai quietly prides himself on the color where he finds most of his kin growing extraordinary colors that leave their already alien appearances sticking that much more out of a crowd. It appears that not only was the swordsman blessed with a normal coloring to his hair, but as well to his skin tone, putting many of the people he would find himself conversing with at ease. Rather than appearing completely different and alien, Yuudai's coloration was something common among many of the Hyur. However, that is where the resemblances and normalcy stopped with the Au Ra.

Across the man's body, firm like plating, are brilliant scales presenting his iron will to the world. Across his face, along his arms, covering his wrists and ankles, and along his spine the scales act as a natural armor, giving the swordsman a second defense to the areas where many creatures were otherwise vulnerable. If that was a second defense, then a second offense came in twin foreboding horns that were tipped with steel, showcasing a willingness to use them in combat if it was necessary. To add one final blessing from the Dawn Father, like all Au Ra, a thin, nonprehensile tail that was absolutely, positively good for nothing at all other than sparking conversation with those curious about if it had any uses.

The man was not without handsome features, however. Sharp, angular features strike a contrast to the otherwise rounded nature of many of the Doman people who immigrated to Eorzea alongside his own. It was a curious thing to look at, the swordsman's resting face bringing many an eye to wonder if he was disturbed or suffering some annoyance when usually neither was the case.

Speech:

To say that Yuudai is an educated man might give the wrong impression to many who consider themselves educated. The swordsman is learned in the artistry of what it means to be a swordsman in Doma, but not in the more traditional schooling that one would undergo when they consider themselves educated. As such, Yuudai's speech lacks a certain glaring tone that would otherwise mark him among the uneducated, but many would find that his ruthlessly cold voice did not have much to say on any subject of learning.
