Basic Info
Relatively short for an Elezen with little in the way of muscle, he adorns himself with ornate and expensive clothing, always pristine. Behind his rose-tinted spectacles, his eyes are often distant and hazy, but his lips are rarely without a curious smile.
Having come into his inheritance at the tender age of 17, he has proceeded to squander it ways that would enrage his late father, largely on somnus, food, drink, expensive jewellery and trinkets, and - most significantly - on setting up a boarding house in Mist, where he has begun to surround himself with tenants that could kindly be described as ill-mannered and disorderly. He often attends parties, bar nights and other such events, where his favourite activity is to observe drunken fights and other such rowdy behaviour as he lounges on a sofa somewhere.
History
The only child of a wealthy Ishgardian noble, Yvon was afforded some luxury growing up. However, his father was notoriously tight-fisted, distant and often abusive, and the rest of his family and servants did little to mitigate the neglect inflicted upon his son. By the time he reached his early teens, Yvon had grown full of contempt for his father and often spent time away from his home and skipping out on his education, exploring the city unattended. He often played with the children of the Brume, and was only encouraged to continue his behaviour when he learnt of his father's disapproval of such friendships with lowborn families.
After witnessing the fall of Dalamud, he became fascinated with the movements of the stars, leading him to begin spending time at the Athenaeum Astrologicum. Seeing this interest as a way to finally get his son back on the straight and narrow, his father enrolled him at the school to become an astrologian. Yvon enjoyed his schooling there, but remained nonetheless at odds with his father, whose health was now beginning to deteriorate, and eventually lead to his death shortly before Yvon's 17th nameday. Yvon took his inheritance and left Ishgard for La Noscea, where he now attempts to soothe his soul with hedonism.
Personality
Whimsical and soft-spoken, often gazing into the distance and looking amused by whatever mysterious thoughts are passing through his head. On the surface, he is reserved and polite, but despite his demeanour, he is a lover of disorder, one who likes to tip the scales gently into chaos with the lightest touch. Though he appears to drift along with the current and is more satisfied to exist in a passive role, this can easily lead to overlooking his darker desires - and his loneliness, the major factor which drives him to surround himself with boisterous individuals.
An artist by nature, he enjoys sketching, sometimes landscapes and scenery, but often people, animals and abstract scenes and illustrations.
Affiliations
J'zaht Mason - A tenant of his boarding house whose unruly nature Yvon finds quite enthralling. He sees a little of himself in J'zaht and has developed a growing affection for him.
Cassius Cato - a cousin of Yvon's, who he currently employs. Yvon is probably one of the only people capable of confronting Cassius or changing his mind about anything.
