Appearance

Hair: Zaeira's natural color is a soft, deep brown, but it isn't uncommon for her to find stray white hairs throughout the fur of her tail. Those white hairs can also be found atop her head, but generally go overlooked due to the purple dye that decorates the front and ends of her mane. Naturally, her hair curls and waves similarly to her mother’s, though Zaeira’s has a bit more wave and slightly looser curls. Most often she keeps her hair loose and free, however when going on "dates" she’ll either fancify her style or, if her patron isn’t a fan of her highlights, wear a wig.

Eyes: Sharp yellow, like a polished gil piece. Certain outfits will make them appear much paler, rather like a peeled banana.

Body: In a word, soft. While not quite fat, Zaeira has never been as thin as many other Miqo'te, her curves being hourglass yet padded and cheeks almost squirrel like. Her breasts, rump, and thighs have always been on the large side of plump, regardless of whether her training at the time was focused on magicks or physical combat. Naturally sharp nails tip her long fingers, fingers which are at least spared her body's squishy tendencies. As a child her mother would joke that if she spent her days holding onto her tail Zaeira would end up with one as long as her body; while not quite that long, it does stretch out to a decent length, though her slightly-above average height keeps it from looking odd. Despite being a Keeper Zaeira's brown skin is almost sun-kissed, with freckles dotting across her face and body, only occasionally interrupted by stray, pale scars, some forgotten from a playful childhood and some with teeth-clenching stories attached. Though Zaeira is not prone to wearing much make-up, she'll often decorate her plush, naturally red-ish lips with a variety of colors; her favorites are darker colors that make her sharp fangs look almost amusingly vicious.

Other: The middle of her lower lip is pierced and in it she most often wears a silver colored hoop. She has three piercings on each of her ears which she adorns with simple studs, though when dressing up she'll occasionally put fancier pieces in her first holes. A tiny triangular notch is missing from the tip of her right ear.

Personality Overview: Many see Zaeira as being air-headed or especially simple, when in actuality she is quite intelligent and, due to being adopted at a young age into a family of wealthy elites and respected scholars, is rather cultured and brutally aware of herself and others. The inspiration of her birth mother and the atmosphere of cut-throat desire and lethal ambitiousness within her adoptive family are what lead Zaeira to try and be as kind as possible, living a care-free life that flows like water off a leaf after a storm. Guided, yet unhurried. Always willing to lend an ear or a hand, she does not expect everyone she meets to be her friend, but she'll treat them as one all the same. Even when she is not exuding her kind, cheery self Zaeira will continue to cultivate her carefree lifestyle, though some may simply call her lazy or an ass during these times. In this mode her smiles are more relaxed and less frequent, her jokes crueler, and her more consulate and gentle words are rarely heard; as such Zaeira never acts this way around clients or those she does not consider to be especially close to her (unless she's had a few too many drinks).

• Because of her overtly cheery lifestyle she is prone to sudden bursts of violence (i.e. When on a walk with a friend they ran into a stream they had to cross, but rather than simply wading through, Zaeira exploded a large nearby boulder to create smaller rocks that they could hop on)

Weaknesses:

• A total lightweight when drinking anything stronger than wine
• Suffers from PTSD because of her elder brother's treatment of her
• Her skills with physical weapons range from below average to laughably poor for everything except daggers/knives. Her worst weapon is the lance, while her best (after daggers) is the sword, but even with a sword she is quite clumsy compared to her other skills. She hopes to find tutors to teach her, starting with the rapier, as she's heard fascinating things about the Red Mages

Occupation: Zaeira's main source of income is accompanying adventurers/mercenaries/travelers/etc. as their healer, which is not always a steady or reliable source, as she only sometimes charges for her services upfront. Other times she'll take her cut from whatever the job returned (not always a lucrative decision), and still other times she'll attend simply for her own benefit and will waive her fee altogether.

• She also makes some coin on the side through healing pets, mounts, work creatures, etc. (her fees are based on the ability of her clients to pay) and acting as an escort/entertainer to wealthy members of society (or just generally anyone who can afford her prices).

I'm a novice to RPing in general and a complete newb to RPing in an mmo, so please forgive my mistakes and delays.

I'm on Balmung and am a PST player. Currently I'm just getting back into FFXIV (returning 1.0 player) so I'm also a newb in that respect. I am happy to interact OOCly or ICly with anyone that wants to.

• Because of her adoptive family she is technically quite wealthy, however she prefers to not use any gil she has not made herself in an attempt to refrain from becoming indebted to her father. She will occasionally dip in if she has no other choice, but due to her current sources of income her pockets are not often so light she can't support herself and enjoy a good splurge now and again
• While she hates her eldest brother and despises her father, she truly does love some of the rest of her family. Though many were raised to be cutthroats and just generally unpleasant, there are those that she knows are good people and considers them to be true family. I.e. her older brother, an aunt (Agatha Cartwright), two cousins (Theobald Carter, Odette Waller), and a handful of others.
• Very relaxed in her speech. Is only formal when addressing someone of especially notable position or if at an event that requires formal appearance
• When they traveled, her mother would earn gil through healing creatures, both tamed and wild, which is where Zaeira's love of animals and knowledge of healing originated
• Because cheery-in-the-face-of-all-things behavior is a learned/forced thing for her, Zaeira does her best to practice habits that help in maintaining her cheery self. Besides her meditation her self-care routine can come off as Zaeira being lazy or frivolous
• Her escorting began when she was a young almost-adult attending a planning meeting for a charity event hosted by her father. As the meeting was adjourned, one of her father's friends approached her and offered her a charming sum of gil to escort him to said event. Though she shied away from the notion at first, once assured that the evening would begin and end at the party she agreed. Finding the "date" to be no more taxing than a family dinner and the reward to be far greater Zaeira continued offering her services. Though she began within her father's circle of friends eventually she made connections allowing her to broaden her clientele base. As she got older she that found the gil increase that occurred when letting go of her "reservations" with some of her clients too tempting to give up on.
