Basic Info
Zana is a young pirate who has recently stepped foot off of the ship (Esmeralda) to travel and adventure the land to seek a possible new path for herself. She is blunt and straight forward but decently mature especially when the time calls for it.
Description
Zana has a small frame and is light on her feet. She wears light cloth and leathers to help her move around more silently. Her skin is pale and her dark red hair is usually roughly tied back into a ponytail by a rust looking wire barrette and a few strands falling forward into her face. Her eyes glow yellow even when she keeps them narrow. There are a few scars on her but the most distinctive is the scar across her right eyebrow and down to her cheek. Zana has her two daggers that hang off of her belt. One appears aged with a red tint to the hilt and blade. The blade curves and she usually only uses it while in battle. The other is one that can easily be found at a typical armory; it has a golden hilt and a straight steel blade. Occasionally she would be found using a few smaller daggers but it's rare to see where she got them from. Also on her belt, there is a small coin pouch which almost always appears empty. She'll also sometimes be carrying a satchel over her shoulder. Stuff inside is typical items such as rations, cloth or bandages, and her working tools. One thing that she always has with her is a bow. The wood of it appears older and the writing etched into it is an older written style. Also slung across her back is a leather quiver filled with many arrows and only one being a pure silver crafted arrow.
History
Zana's parents, I'khali and Matthias, traveled all around and ended up in Limsa Lominsa when she was born. Shortly after, they moved and settled down in a quiet area of the Black Shroud. She spent her younger years playing games and tricks among the other young Miqo'te. At the age of eight, her father presented her with a gift. It was a bow and there was old writing etched on the aging wood. Day after day, Zana would spend her time in the field practicing with the bow. As the sun went down, she would sit looking out towards the trees, just before she walked back to her home to spend the evening with the family....
It has been three years, and there wasn't a day that Zana hadn't made it out to the field. It was like every other day, she did her morning work load, ate lunch, played with some of the younger children, then headed out to the field. She spent the hours shooting arrow after arrow at the many targets she had set up long time ago. Zana shot out her last arrow just as the sun was setting. She gathered her things and turned to head back home like she did every other day, but today her father was there. He beckoned her to follow, and he brought her to their home. As they entered, others were there waiting. Family and friends were gathered along the back of the main room. In the middle of the room, up on a pedestal, laid a mysterious long item wrapped in a silk cloth. Her father walked behind this item and beckoned her once again. Zana approached the pedestal and unwrapped the item revealing a silver crafted arrow. "We all see how you eye and long to adventure out beyond our forests. With this gift, we will always be with you for that your waited adventure starts tomorrow." Her father, Matthias, gave Zana his blessing with a tear in his eye.
The following day, her parents gave many supplies. Zana gathered everything she could and took off away from her home. She found herself almost lost and uncertain till she came across a man by the name of Ed. He introduced himself as the first mate of Esmeralda. He told her of the adventures he had and of ones he could only imagine to happen. Zana, still uncertain, followed him to a small boat off the ferry docks where a few other mates were waiting. They rowed that small boat to where Zana got to look at Esmeralda for the first time. She was astonished by its size and beauty. She climbed the rope ladder up onto the docks getting to meet the Captain. "Welcome aboard." The woman, Rita, stood tall and intimidating. That was the start of Zana's adventures.
