[edit] Details Personality Rumors Gallery OOC Notes GENERAL INFORMATION Born a Sea Wolf of Aerslaent, Zirnwaen grew up in one of the many fishing villages that dotted the archipelago. When he came of age he naturally took to the sea as was common for his kind, joining a band of fellow raiders aboard; The Destrier. A two-masted square-rigger armed twenty-six guns strong. He spent his early life preying on helpless merchants on the high seas and the occasional coastal village or fort. It was not long before he was thrust into the bustling and anarchic life of old Limsa Lominsa, once a den for piracy and scum. When Merlwyb Bloefhiswyn at the head of the League of Lost Bastards won the Trident and claimed the seat of Admiral after the untimely passing of the former, she unified Limsa Lominsa under the banner of the reinstated Maelstrom and outlawed open piracy against any Eorzean or neutral vessel across the world. Seeing no choice but to oblige, the crew of the Destrier agreed and became honourary privateers of the Lominsan Armada. Zirnwaen began to see the necessity for a united nation and did his duty as was bid. However, soldier's life did not spak to him for long and he yearned for the freedom he once had. After the Calamity he decided to hang up his sailor's hat and bought himself a set of armour and appropriate weapons. He journeyed inland after his retirement from sailing to travel Eorzea as an Adventurer. APPEARANCE WIP Aspects That Stand Out: ■ Black mark under his right eye. ■ Crimson serpent tattoo on the left side of his face. ■ ' PERSONALITY Zirnwaen has an open and outgoing personality and does not tend to shy away from vocalizing himself. While he might have been different in the past, now he is a cheerful Sea Wolf that seeks to sent positive vibes in all direction. He's bright, boisterous and confident and does not hesitate to befriend new people. He can however come across as crude, often at the displeasure of whoever he is talking to. The Roegadyn indeed holds nothing back and many may consider that rude in a certain sense. L I K E S ■ Drinking. He's a Sea Wolf and an Adventurer! Drinking is one of the few pleasures he has. ■ Music. Whether indoors or out, a good merry song is something this Roegadyn appreciates. Perhaps even joins in on. D I S L I K E S ■ Fancy Pirates. Pretty lads dressed in expensive and flamboyant outfits talking about the sea as if they know what life on it truly was. ■ To forget. Not everyone remembers everything. And this Sea Wolf loathes it whenever he does so happen to forget something or someone. H O B B I E S ■ Gambling. A game of Triple Triad, putting money on a Chocobo Racer or simply a good armwrestle. This Roegadyn enjoys a game of competition every now and then. S T R E N G T H S ■ Physical Strength. Both his race and former profession exposed him to a lot of hard, physical work that now serves him well as a fighter. ■ Adaptable. To be a sailor or an adventurer you have to be adaptable. Both in fighting, braving weather and understanding society. Zirnwaen likes to believe he learned that. W E A K N E S S E S ■ Magic. Having been a pirate for most of his life, Zirnwaen never had much time to study at Eorzean Guilds or other academies. His understanding and control of aether is limited to what he has learned in short recent times only. M O T I V A T I O N S ■ Hero Complex - Zirnwaen desires to go down in the history books. He wishes to make a name for himself that is worth remembering and amass a fortune while at it. He believes becoming an adventurer will help him accomplish that goal. He was a pirate/privateer once, so anything Lominsan goes as well! You're allowed to know of the Destrier and its crew if you want! Can always poke me for details. Character Lore Adherence I generally abide to established lore. I can accept made-up lore for plot and everyone is semi guilty of that anyway, but anything that I feel has no place in FFXIV, is something I tend to shy away from.
