R'das Sahazrh

R'das a reclusive metalworker-turned-magitek engineer currently working for Winds of Hope. She is known as one of Eorzea's earlier adopters of magitek, predating the Machinist's Guild and the wider uptake of firearms and machina. Her work primarily focuses on Allagan machina and Garlean magitek, though she has begun to create her own varieties of both.

Well known for her smithy-workshop in Horizon.

"Massive bust" / Drawn by Kumiko Height: Tall (for a Miqo'te), 5'4" Weight: Heavier than average Bodytype: Above average muscle mass, massive bust Hair: Dusty Black Eyes: Ice Blue Tall for a Miqo'te, R'das often stands out amongst her kin. A metalworker's lifestyle keeps her relatively fit, though her weight has been fluctuating. A majority of her weight is focused on her chest; which is of massive proportion in comparison to the rest of her frame. Even as a Miqo'te, her unerring sense of balance has suffered, leading her to often stumble during physical activities. Set into the Miqo'te's left ear is a curious device of Allagan origin. It remains mostly hidden under her fur, though on occasion it radiates a soft blue glow. She actively tries to avoid drawing attention to the device, often trying to change the subject of conversation or simply ignoring questions pertaining to it. Her skin is heavily tanned from years under the Thanalan sun. Covering it are a large number of faded tribal tattoos. Many seem to have faded almost entirely, R'das clearly not caring for their upkeep Perhaps most curious of R'das' body is her reactions to alchemical compounds. In the wake of a disastrous alchemical accident early in her childhood, potions and the like often have odd effects when imbibed by the Seeker. Of the reactions, curative potions have the most worrying, appearing to harm more than heal when consumed.

Personality “ 'm not known f'm'depth a' conversation. ”

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral Accent: A mixture of Limsan sailor and Ul'dahn gutter trash R'das is a laid back individual. Unless she has immediate reason to do or care about something, she is often content to laze around and let things happen as they do. She is not a people-person, and often will go out of her way to avoid crowds or even smaller gatherings of people she does not know, usually requiring considerable effort to drag her from her comfort zone to meet new people. She is loyal and fiercely protective of her friends, even though any slights or dangers may be only her own perception of things, resulting in many heated arguments even amongst her peers. Despite such, she often regrets raising her voice, either immediately though witnessing the damage she causes, or further down the line when guilt starts to gnaw at her. When upset, R'das tends not to half-ass her emotions. She is quick to resort to drink to attempt to numb her feelings when she is unsure how to cope, and often lashes out at attempts to help or understand. Such often leads her further into sadness when her guilt rolls back around. Likes ■Engineering. Her truest passion and calling in life, she treats it as both a hobby and a means of income. ■Firearms. Her weapon of choice and one she has devoted both her time and considerable coin into understanding the use and manufacture of. For a time, before the rise of the machinists, R'das was one of the few suppliers of firearms in Eorzea. ■Cinnamon. A favourite treat, thankfully. Anything with even the smallest hint is enough to land a place amongst R'das' favoured snacks. ■Hot drinks. - Tea, chocolate, and sometimes occasionally coffee, are all favourites with R'das. ■Singing. Something R'das both enjoys listening to, and occasionally doing herself. Despite her accent, she has a wonderful singing voice...but she would never let anybody else hear her. ■Carbuncles. R'das finds the little bundles of aether absolutely adorable. She loves playing with them whenever she can and secretly wishes she had one of her own. Dislikes ■Competition. In anything. R'das struggles with her pride, believing herself competent in her own ability, but also uncomfortable with opportunity to be shown that she is not. ■Spriggans. Mostly just Jiggy. It's self explanatory. ■The Black Shroud. In part owing to the Witches' Shroud, which has the potential to disrupt airships. R'das has never been partial to the Shroud, and finds its canopies to be naught but claustrophobic and suffocating. ■Discussing Feelings. R'das often struggles on how to voice how she feels, and being pressured into doing so is a surefire way to rouse her temper or cause her to distance herself.

She is a proficient craftswoman, though her true skills lie in metalwork and machinistry. Her occupation has her as a magitek engineer for Winds of Hope and as such much of her arsenal and skills in combat rely heavily on her inventions. Her manner of magitek is a very haphazard one, often hastily constructed from scraps of other devices, be they Garlean, Eorzean, or Allagan. One thing is always for certain, however, in that they get the job done... most of the time, and the risk of personal injury whilst using her devices has declined steadily as she has become more and more accustomed to making devices of her own design rather than modifying existing ones. She has a distinct aversion to goblin magitek and engineering, owing to its dangerous construction and rampant use of volitile ceruleum, even though her own crafts often possess the same qualities. If something blows up, she would at least like to know why is did. On her person she carries more guns than would be considered reasonable. A fan of revolvers, she keeps a small steel one holstered in her jacket, a larger darksteel magitek revolver in a holster on her thigh, and another comically oversized one often slung over her back. All but the steel firearm are capable of firing the custom ammunition that she and the other Winds of Hope engineers create. In terms of aetherial ability, R'das possesses little control of her own aether. She has a very basic knowledge of arcanima, enough to cast but a single spell, and even then its potency is laughable. Extended bouts of teleportation leave her exhausted and nauseous. Perhaps the most noteworthy of R'das' aetherial quirks is her ability to tap into a lesser form of chakra. She possesses a small amount of Monk training, enough that her unarmed strikes pack an aetherial sting, but it is nothing that she can consciously manipulate to cure or manifest as fully trained Monks would demonstrate.

As one of the few people who can make R'das feel calm and secure, Zho has a special place in the Seeker's heart. ● ♥ Reppu Hijiri - Fun-loving Party Raen Reppu came to R'das at a sorry point in the Seeker's life, when she was considering ending it and leaving naught but an empty house behind. Reppu showed R'das that there was still much to live for, she was a bright beacon that cut through the haze of suicidal depression and gently nudged R'das back onto the path of her own life once more. ● A'eyshn Demiir - Equally grumpy Miqo'te What initially started as bitter hostility between A'eyshn and R'das has now become a strong bond. It took R'das a long and painful road to show to A'eyshn that she was somebody worth her time, but ultimately R'das considers A'eyshn as one of the key people holding her together. ● ♥ Sarnai Malqir - Quirky Engineer R'das is still unsure of how Sarnai just up and appeared one day, but it has been filed under one of the many things she doesn't question. She finds the odd Xaela's company amusing and her unintentional flirting may stroke R'das' ego a little. ● Camille Everardi - Hello Nurse! R'das' go-to for all her worries. She finds Camille's doting nature comforting and, even though the hyur may judge her for all the weirdness she's involved in, thinks highly of all her advice and guidance. ● Fenix Darkfire - Silently judgemental father figure When R'das needs the sense talked, or often magicked, into her, Fenix is usually the one doing such. While R'das doesn't always agree with his way of handling things, she recognises Fenix's desire to keep her from harming herself. ● Sukoa Dokusha - Petite, caring Raen Sukoa surprised R'das when it was revealed that the Raen was, in fact, not a woman. R'das remained somewhat uneasy around him for quite some time, seeing many similarities to somebody she would rather not be reminded of. She thinks that Sukoa's desire to help everyone is admirable, but feels he needs more confidence in his delivery as he always seems unsure. ♦ T'yamsha Winre - Tribal Huntress R'das has no strong opinions of T'yamsha. She is possibly one of the only people within Winds of Hope whom R'das would truly consider themselves neutral to. She respects that T'yamsha doesn't go out of her way to involve herself in the business of others, though there have been a few seldom occasions where the wrong thing has been said at the right time. ♦ Enju Abbagliato - Ishgardian Dragoon-turned-retainer A long-running mutual dislike exists between R'das and Enju. R'das finds him to be stuck-up and arrogant, assuming that he is always right in all things. She did not take too much issue until he began to chastise and lecture her on how she acted and spoke, but she has and continues to react negatively to his criticism.
