Rose-tinted hair drapes across her shoulders and hangs midway down her back in natural waves and loose curls. Her bangs are cut short but sweep from her side part, helping to frame her slender face. Round, stormy blue eyes are framed with thick, dark lashes that helps give her a naturally innocent appearance. Full pink lips are continuously pulled up into a warm smile that makes her inviting and charming to even the coldest of hearts. Despite the more tropical nature of Vylbrand, Alysia maintains a paler complexion without any freckles or markings from being out in the sun. Her figure is slight, with soft curves and not much in the way of muscles, making her more agile and nimble than possessing abundant strength. Her 'assets' are not particular robust but there is a definite air of femininity about her. Scars & Markings: None Visible Voice: --- Clothing: With her more slender figure and general lack of musculature, Alysia strays from heavier armors while out adventuring; instead preferring to wear the lighter textile garments worn by her vocation as an arcanist. She prefers lighter shades of clothing in softer colors such as yellows, blues and purples and tends to find darer attire makes her look almost undead with her pale skin tone. Her personal style tends to be more girlishly charming, with flowing summer dresses, ribbons, lace, thighs and short shorts worn with frilly blouses. Alysia is of a sweet temperament that makes her amenable in most company. Easy with her smiles and a constant optimist, she has a tendency to see the good in most situations and is the last to give up hope even when things seem lost. Despite her softness, she has an abundance of determination and fortitude that some may see as stubbornness. Her moral compass always points north, tending to follow her heart and common sense in most scenarios, even if it would be considered unlawful. Unfortunately, she is not particularly worldly and is a bit naive about a great many things but she is a quick study and learns quickly. Honest, genuine and caring, Alysia is the type to keep her friends close and always open to making new ones in her travels. NPC Tarryn Fairwind ( ♥ ) ( NPC ) - Father A wanderer from places unknown, Tarryn Fairwind fell in love with Minneva Korbyn when he came across her village on his travels. Settling down and becoming an intricate part of the community, Tarryn and Minneva married and soon had a baby daughter. When the Grand Companies were called to fight the VIIth Legion of the Garlean Imperial Army at Cartaneau, Tarryn insisted that he enlist and fight for his family and his new home. After the Calamity, his family waited for his return but days turned into weeks, which turned into years without any word and many presuming him dead. A series of odd occurrences have lead Alysia to believe that he may not be deceased. Minneva Fairwind ( ♥ ✖ ) ( NPC ) - Mother Minneva was a bright lass that grew up in a simple fishing village on the coast north of Limsa Lominsa. Despite her own mother's insistence, Minneva dreamed of a simpler life and refused to take up her mother's grimoire and learn the ways of the Arcanist. When a wanderer made his way into the village, she was instantly taken with him and it wasn't long before her and Tarryn settled down into domestic bliss as man and wife. In the first year of their marriage, they were graced with the birth of a daughter, whom she named Alysia. Despite more attempts, no other children were sired though from their union. A doting mother and gracious wife, Minneva was very much against Tarryn's desire to fight with the Maelstrom against the VIIth Legion at Cartaneau. Forced to concede, she watched as the love of her life marched off with the rest of able bodied fighters. When he did not return after Bahamut's descent and the ensuing Calamity, Minneva became a shell of her former self. Becoming frequently sick, she was tended to by Alysia until her frail body and shattered soul could no longer hold on and she passed away into the aether. Many claimed she died of a broken heart. Vivica Korbyn ( ♥ ✖ ) ( NPC ) - Grandmother, Grand Arcanist Vivica Korbyn was the scourge of smugglers, pirates, bandits and anyone who looked at her funny in her hay day A great arcanist of repute, she worked with the great City-State of Limsa Lominsa to help keep law and order in Vylbrand. A fiery woman, who was passionate about her profession as well as the people she wished to protect, many thought she would never be tamed. However, it was a simple fisherman from the coast who trapped her heart and won her hand after years of courting. Marriage, 3 sons and a daughter did little to slow down Vivica; though her focus shifted more towards educating the younger generations in the art of aether manipulation. The years passed by and with her myraid of grandchildren and family about her, Vivica passed peacefully in her sleep due to old age and natural causes. Vivica's favorite granddaughter, Alysia was gifted her grimoire and an emerald upon her death and her relationship to the legend garnered her an instant invitation into the Arcanist Guild. Carbuncle ( ♦ ) ( NPC ) - Summoned Pet When Alysia's grandmother passed in her youth, she was gifted with the elder woman's grimoire and a near perfectly cut emerald. A letter left with the inheritance insisted she seek out the Arcanist Guild's Guildmaster to learn the family craft but in the wake of the impending Imperial invasion, her desire to go to Limsa Lominsa was quashed. It wasn't until her mother's passing did she stumble upon her grandmother's missive and struck out for the great seaside city. There, under the tutelage of the acting Guildmaster, Alysia used the emerald to summon forth the carbuncle's essence from the gem. A stroppy little beast, it is particularly faithful and protective of it's summoner. With no sense of boundaries, it has a tendency to crawl all over Alysia and others it deems acceptable company; it's favorite place being to perch on her shoulder with it's tail's wrapped about her neck for balance. With a sweet tooth, Alysia tends to indulge the creature with treats as well as affection. To her, the emerald carbuncle is the only family she has left and she will cherish it always. PC Elijah Ballard ( ♠ ) ( PC ) - First love/First Heartbreak Many could speculate that Nymeia had a hand in bringing these two together. A series of events lead the two together in the crowded Hawker's Alley of Limsa Lominsa. Instantly hitting it off and finding each other pleasant company, Alysia agreed to join Elijah on his quest to become a great adventurer. While not nearly as ambitious in this pursuit, she sees having Elijah as a traveling companion will help her in her endeavors of finding her long-lost father. Tall, dark and witty, Alysia very much finds the Archer from the Twelveswood to be to her liking as a possible suitor but both of them are either too shy, oblivious or polite to realize that the feelings are reciprocated. Unfortunately, circumstances have since driven them apart and their relationship concluded on rather unsavory terms and left her heartbroken. Noah Kelten ( ♦ ✔♦ ) ( PC ) - Mentor and Friend Alysia first ran into Noah early on in her employment to Aethertide Ventures and the two formed a quick acquaintance. Their general temperaments and lust for knowledge made conversation easy and Alysia had thought she had made a like-minded friend. However, Noah was more reserved and wary of such easy friendships and the two seemed to struggle for a while on their standing with one another. Lately, they seem to have come to a silent agreement to go forward and just enjoy each other's company. While Alysia tends to dote on him, Noah has slowly started to open up to her. He has also become her boss recently and the shift will help set the pace for their friendship. Some of these rumors are untrue, speculation, or are greatly exaggerated.
