His hair, once red, is now bleached and dyed, though strands of crimson still peek through at the edges and roots. He likes his clothing loud and his heels high and his hats big. There is a scattering of freckles on his cheeks, nose, and shoulders and an easy smile on his face almost all of the time. Scars & Markings: A faint scar on his right cheek, a large star-shaped scar across his solar plexus, a black linework tattoo at the back of his neck in shape of an eye (usually hidden). Voice: Sweet and pleasant and a little tarnished with smoke and wear. It sounds best in a lossless Orchestrion formats. Clothing: Cotton, red and white shirts, embroidery, tall boots, flannel, sweaters. He hides a billion anxieties behind an awkward mask of bravado and crassness, which works fine about sixty percent of the time. Smiles come easy when they're easy to hide behind -- where his outward enthusiasm is infectious and his thoughts and tongue run at a hundred malms an hour, sorrow and self-loathing are just as close a friend to the moody bard. Every feeling is amplified, every love is the first and the last, and every flight of fancy is equally important, even if it is forgotten in a week. He's a coward, a liar, and a pain in the ass. He's working on it. Mandolin: Marcy’s mandolin is made of dark, reddish wood that, on closer inspection, seems to have been grown rather than carved. It is strung with sharp silver strings, and the frets have been fashioned from bone. An odd, moody thing, it seems to go out of tune whenever anyone other than Marcy handles it, or when it has not spent a sufficient amount of time in the Shroud. Key: A key that weighs as much as a hyur heart. It is made of wrought iron shaped into a chunky, gaudy design, and it smells of sulfur. Poncho: Marcy’s poncho, when he wears it, seems to contain a never-ending supply of snacks. Sadly, all of them are peanuts. Charms: Several charms, clearly not of his own make, are attached to his belts and wrists. Of note are a small metal bangle shaped like his own mandolin and a woven bracelet made of peach pits. Whistle: A clay whistle shaped like a magpie. Cheap, charmingly crooked thing, likely bought at a quaint Steppe market for no nefarious reasons whatsoever. Stone: What? It’s a pretty stone. Brooch: A simple carved brooch shaped like a Yol is usually holding up his cape, scarf, or collar. Some of these rumors are untrue, speculation, or are greatly exaggerated.
