Lawful Neutral General Information Tokhta is a young, quiet Xaela of the Iriq tribe, a clan that adopts any male children abandoned by the all-female Borlaaq tribe that they traditionally follow across the Steppes. He is short of stature and gaunt of build, suggesting food and exercise are not a top priority. Curious and strong-willed as a child, his teenage years saw him succumb to cowardice and fear of the dangers ever-present on the Azim Steppes. It was not until he fled to Eorzea that he finally picked up a sword and began extensive combat training under the guidance of the Free Paladins of Ul'dah. Appearance Hair & Eyes His eyes are storm gray in color, often turned away from strangers but gentle when gazes meet. His hair is shoulder-length and dark red, with occasional strands of lighter red coloration peeking through. Physique & Markings Tokhta is of a slight build and short height. With his physical and combat training only recently begun, he has yet to develop the defined muscles often seen on warriors and adventurers of his age. The only aberrant markings on his body are newly minted scars on his right lower leg, left over from puncture wounds similar to those received from jagged, bestial teeth. Hygiene & Attire Tokhta keeps himself presentably clean and well-kept. He bathes on a daily basis and applies shampoos and oils to his hair, which he tries to keep brushed out and free of rat nests. He does not, however, pride himself over his appearance and will seldom ever be seen fussing over minute details of his looks. Personality Psychological Profile . Voice Tokhta bears a light tone of voice that is not overly pitched, nor does it reach the lower depths normally perceived of Au Ra males. He is soft-spoken with an occasional stutter. His voice is usually laden with one emotion or another, rarely ever monotone. Philosophy & Mannerisms Initially cautious around strangers and new acquaintances, Tokhta can open up relatively easily after repeated exposures. Through observation of the Eorzean culture, he has quickly picked up on the more polite and courteous aspects of social behavior that were almost always rewarded with smiles or some other form of gratitude, i.e. holding doors open for others, assisting with jobs and chores, quickly recognizing those that seemed lost or troubled, among other mannerisms. Though not book-smart, Tokhta has been known to come up with inspirational or knowledgeable quips of wisdom that have left a few with a new, albeit minor, outlook on life. History . Disclaimer: Obviously, none of this would be known to a character unless explicitly told by Tokhta himself. That being said, another Iriq player is more than welcome to claim having seen or known Tokhta during his Othard days. Sixth Astral Era Childhood Tokhta lived a rather unremarkable childhood. Found abandoned by his Borlaaq mother at the mere age of three or four moons, he was the third and final son adopted by the spearwarrior Narin Kegan. His chance for survival seemed low for having been left behind as such a vulnerable stage in his life, but he was not the first nor the last child to be discarded so quickly and he managed to pull through. Teased Tokhta mercilessly for his small size and romantic inclinations. Friends Daisuke Koide - ✔♦ღ - Young male Raen, Tokhta's fiancé. He fled to Eorzea with his sister to escape his overbearing family and imperious father. Tokhta met him in Ul'dah prior to starting his new security job at the Lighthouse, where Daisuke happened to be living. A relationship bloomed between them over several moons, and they eventually left the orphanage to travel Aldenard together. Yachiyo Koide - ✔ - Older sister of Daisuke. She encouraged her brother to leave Doma with her to find a better life across the seas in Eorzea. Nanani Nani - ✔♦ - A young Miqo'te girl, Tokhta's adopted sister. Tokhta met her in Ul'dah while he was waiting for a delayed airship arrival. They exchanged stories and benign history of themselves before parting ways. The two of them have met up many times since then to bring each other news and stories of their lives as they unfolded. Recently they adopted each other as siblings. Bala Ugund - �♦ - Young female Xaela with an unusual affliction. Comrade-in-arms. Former and short-lived romantic interest. Bala saved Tokhta's life during a violent incident in the Daniffen Pass in Coerthas. Contact has all but ceased since Tokhta acquired his latest job.
