Not a thin model type of Elezen, but still with the trademark long limbs and towering height. She’s on the higher end of the height spectrum, even amongst her own race, and she often gives Roegadyn a run for their money. Traveling on foot for so many years has toned her soft curves. Her eyes, though seemingly coal black, are actually a very dark blue, though they radiate a warmth and shine nonetheless. She keeps her hair long, her locks naturally wavy and black. It's never kept tied and always hangs across her shoulders. As a Duskwight, her skin is pale and gray, with a blue undertone, and has remained untouched by age or the elements. Saskia almost looks cold to the touch. She's often clad in blacks and general monochrome colors, with splashes of color to supplement them. Though impractical for travel, she keeps to big, billowing hats and skirts. Of course, if staying somewhere for a while, she'll often adopt the dress of the locals. Saskia has a great fondness for small accessories such as earrings. Height: 6'3" Weight: 165 lbs Saskia is a kind soul, though her greatest flaw is her naiveté. It's incredibly easy for people to manipulate her, so perhaps it's best she travels so much. It keeps any undesirables from getting ahold of her. She's of noble birth (at least by Duskwight standards), and thus very graceful, polite, and well spoken. Unlike her family, who are isolated as is typical of their clan, she's always had an interest in the outside world. And ever since beginning her travels, Saskia has fallen in love with what she's seen. Because she was raised in a house of nobility, she still has trouble around the common man but throws herself 100% into learning about everyone. However, just because she's eager doesn't mean Saskia is always successful. She lacks talent in many areas, including magic and common sense, and trouble often isn't too far behind. It's only thanks to her ability to naturally charm others (whether out of her genuine kindness or pity) has she made it thus far in one piece. It's not uncommon for her to regale her hosts with tales of adventures or recounting various histories of places she's been. Her journey began unwillingly and unhappily. As the eldest child of House Auberlaint-- a prominent Duskwight family in her community-- she was expected to excel and to succeed. One day, Saskia would lead their family to continued prosperity... but she didn't measure up. Average in her studies, inept at magic, and awful at playing at politics, it became apparent as she grew older that she was an unworthy heir. That, and her increasing daydreams about the world outside of the caves insulted them. How could a daughter of a great and noble family be so unconcerned with the game of thrones? Looking to her middle sister instead, Saskia was disowned as heir and essentially left to fend for herself. At first, she was frightened and armed with nothing more than a grimoire and a carbuncle at her side. By the grace of the Twelve, she managed to make it to a village before the cold took her-- and from there, her life began again. His marriage to his wife, Fleur, was arranged in his youth and he seems to have resented every moment of it. He desires to take his family name from old money to true power, and this makes his children more investments than his own flesh and blood. With how much contempt he holds for Fleur, rumor has it he might not be interested in women in general. Fleur Auberlaint ( ♥ ) ( NPC ) - Mother Mainly a socialite with no interest in advancing her family's name, and simply wants to live in wealth and comfort. Having children was seen as a duty and once fulfilled, she had very little involvement in raising Saskia and her siblings. Fleur knows much about other nobles, including dirty secrets that would completely unravel certain families (though she has yet to use this knowledge). For now, it's simply for gossip at parties... but the potential to swing power into her favor is a thought not far from her mind. Magdalena Auberlaint ( ♥ ) ( NPC ) - Sister The middle child of the family. Unlike Saskia, Maggie is much more ruthless and steadfast in getting what she wants. It's no wonder she became the family darling. She's a master of conversation and social conventions, though she lacks any talent in magic. She makes up for this with being able to play the politics game and having a silver tongue. Anything and everything is done for personal gain-- and she's scarily good at it. Emerens Auberlaint ( ♥ ) ( NPC ) - Brother Youngest child. He saw the opportunity to rise to prominence when Saskia was disowned, but ended up playing second fiddle to Maggie-- and this drove him absolutely insane. He’s driven almost entirely by competition, but is unfortunately seen as too young to contend with "real" adults yet. Achievements are seen as "cute" instead of at face value.
