An oddity in Ul'dah due to his red hair, Raniall tends to not draw to much attention to it due to his often covering it. Piercing blue eyes seem to carry most of him. While often light and happy, there is obvious weight behind them, and even a hint of loss. A strong jaw form his face, which is slightly covered by the small amount of red stubble around his chin. His physique is slightly bulky and muscular, built for lowering a shield and trudging forward through sand, snow, muck, or just across hard ground. Sun-tanned skin from living in Ul'dah and training under the Thanalan sun. Scars & Markings: His hands are clearly scarred and calloused from his time as a solider. Additionally, he has scars that mark his arms, back, sides, and legs all from wounds incurred from years as a solider. Voice: A mid-baritone. It's rather light to accompany is lighter attitude and disposition. (Relating actor forthcoming) Clothing: When not in one of his uniforms, Raniall is often seen wearing either the traditional robe and slops that are common among Ul'dah, or a white shirt and black pants that he has become fond of wearing out. The Man Behind the Shield Likes Family. Raniall respects the family unit. Many who come into his life he eventually sees as some extension of his family. Animals. Raniall has a deep love and respect for animals. From Captain Hammer to his chocobo Horus, Raniall finds animal loyalty reflects the people they are with. Protecting Others. Raniall is a protector. Be it his country, his soldiers, or those close to him, he will always be the first to their defense. Even at risk to himself. Whiskey. Everyone has their vices. While he doesn't often drink to excess, even Raniall needs to unwind on occassion. Dislikes Dishonor. To dishonor ones self is to dishonor their very way of life. Cruelty. No one needs to be cruel. Its a conscious choice, and one that is unnecessary in any situation. Duplicity. Nothing tells Raniall more about a person then when they talk one way, but act another. Consequently she's Au Ra, which Raniall also finds...distracting. Rayla Black ( ♥ ) ( PC ) - The Admiral Rayla was the first person to sit and talk with Raniall after he arrived at the 4th. Believing Rayla to be trying to atone for her past, Raniall has taken a liking to her, and subsequently she him. If asked how things got as they did so quickly, Raniall couldn't tell you but if it can help Ray find a path to redemption, than he'll walk it with her.
