Basic Info

Lorentz Rivers is a skilled swordsman, much of his early life is covered in mystery, however what is known with certainty is that he was born in Limsa Lominsa. His mother was Maria Rivers, a well known pirate who raided Garlean ships. Lorentz was raised by his mother until the age of 10, when she disappeared and was considered killed in action. Afterwards one of his uncles took charge of him and took him to Ul'dah, there he made a successful career as a gladiator, and later a sellsword. He fought under the banner of the immortal flames at Carteneau. After the calamity he has been working on several jobs, mostly as a bodyguard and security consultant for several notorious individuals.

Appearance & Personality

Lorentz is a rather polite man, behaving in an almost gentlemanly way. Although he has little tolerance for stupidity and rude people, he can be pretty snarky when taunted. Despite appearing confident and knowledgeable in the outside when he manages to open to others, this facade quickly falls as he is plagued with plenty of inner demons, however despite everything he could be considered a good person. Appearance wise, Lorentz is a rather handsome man, his face bears no scars, however one should see his chest uncovered several scars could be seen on his body, but all of them healed long ago. For a Hyuran Midlander he is rather tall, his muscles are well toned which shows that he is quite fit, and that is something he's proud of

Relations ♥ Romantic Interest ♥ Platonic Love ● Good Standing ● Poor Standing ● Sasha Rochester: Sasha is a rather shrewd Lady that Lorentz happened to meet in Ul'dah, noticing his abilities she hired him as her bodyguard for an expedition to Sharlayan's Great Gubal Library, quickly he learned to like and respect the woman, finding her intelligent and practical, although he is constantly wary of her. They worked together for a while until he resigned temporarily, claiming he needed to attend to some personal affairs, recently returning to work with her he has found that many things have changed, despite this he does hold some affection for her, and tries to take care of her, at least as a way to make up for leaving her for a while ● Saga Bearclaw: Saga is an Ala Mhigan refuge who he met on Ul'dah, although he is often annoyed by her brusque nature, he finds in her a good friend. Both have trained under similar regimes and even though he considers he holds an edge over her, they remain good friends. ● Leoric Blackthorne: Leoric is yet another Ala Mhigan, they worked alongside each other on the 'Red Company' a sellsword company founded by Irista Lockheart. They parted ways after their company suffered grievous losses on the fields of Carteneau ● Jancis Milburga: Lorentz thinks of Jancis of a sweet lady, after he met her on a brief interaction on the Quicksand, and participating in a contest sponsored by Lady Momodi of which Jancis was helping with, Lorentz thinks of her in friendly terms, thinking of her as someone both polite and kind. ● Raserus Tal'therin: Raserus Tal'therin is a Xaela who happened to stumble upon Lorentz place when searching for Adelicia Kohl. He found him a rather shy person, although well intentioned. Raserus also 'saved' Loretnz's life when he was about to be attacked by Adelicia Kohl in an outburst that took place on Lorentz's place. ● Adelicia Kohl: Adelicia is a woman whom Lorentz knows due to her involvement in the assassination of Garleans in Eorzea, although initially they were friendly to each other as he figured her identity rather quickly, she attempted to kill him after a heated discussion of her past, although Raserus Tal'therin managed to defuse the situation it remains a sour memory for Lorentz ●Mina Keatley: A Bard he met while visiting Gridania, he he has had a good opinion of her, finding her observational skills rather impressive, aside from meeting a few times he has also worked alongside her in small sidework. ♥Scarlett Ozrik:A woman he met in Ul'dah after she escaped her abusive husband, he offered her aid and shelter, eventually they developed romantic feelings for each other, for some time they lived together, but because of Lorentz's fault their relationship became strained, leading her to doubt their suitability for each other and ending their relationship. While initially upset on the matter Lorentz looks at his times with her rather fondly, but currently thinks that things are better off as they are.
