She wears it especially short, though it can almost hang into her eyes sometimes. Her eyes are a shade of red-brown, which look more red in the right light. Physique & Markings She is short, lean, and muscular. Celise isn't without curves, but she is notable more for her lack of height and her athleticism. Hygiene & Attire She is usually well-groomed and keeps herself clean. Celise prefers Ul'dahn fashions, tight around the chest and waist, but with long and flowing sleeves. Personality Psychological Profile Celise's personality is, in a word, "grumpy." She isn't antisocial, exactly, but she is prickly and irritable. This tends to involve being fussy and sarcastic, instead of particularly angry (though, when her sense of pride is rankled, she can be). Despite this, she wants to be around people, even if she doesn't like to admit it; she makes up for occasional social awkwardness by talking a lot, to the point of boisterousness. She can be very friendly and, when she knows someone, loyal in the extreme. However, Celise has a certain lack of faith in herself. She can be self-deprecating, trying to make others laugh by either poking fun at herself or saying something patently untrue. She thinks poorly of herself, because of decisions that she made in the past and her lifestyle in Ul'dah. She tends towards secretiveness; Celise doesn't share what she did in Ul'dah and why she left very easily. She can get nervous, especially on the subject of children and slaves. When this happens, she can fall quiet -- and that can presage a more intense sort of anger. She doesn't show fear often or easily; this also tends to involve quiet. The exception is large fires, which can cause Celise to go into quite a panic. Voice Her voice is soft-spoken, but dryer and deeper than one might expect. She tends to make statements into questions. She will also often make jokes, with a sarcastic tone slipping into her voice. When she gets angry, it's a hot anger; she raises her voice and shouts. Philosophy & Mannerisms ■ Cynicism: Celise is cynical. It often slips through in how she speaks about herself. She is pessimistic, though she tries to hide that from others and sometimes tries to be optimistic. ■ Sarcastic: Sarcasm is both a way to try to make friends and a defense mechanism. Celise thinks that if she can make someone laugh, she can become their friend. Similarly, refusing to take herself too seriously is a way to keep others at arms' reach and try to forget parts of her past. ■ Energetic: She has a lot of pent-up energy. Celise often moves quietly, but she can bounce in place if she feels safe. She is always doing something, be it flipping a knife in her hand or pacing across a room nervously. Average: None. Low: Others. Non-Combat Abilities ● Cooking: Her cooking is amazing... in that it is basic and terrible. Nonetheless, Celise persists, and trying to hawk that cooking on others may be her greatest skill. Celise's workmanlike fair is okay: she can make a passable grilled cheese sandwich, for example. However, she thinks these creations are haute cuisine. When she innovates, terrible things happen; she adds ingredients that don't belong together ("Orange juice garnished with grated onion and blackened bread crumbs!") and often overcooks food. Combat Abilities ● Rogue: Celise is a talented rogue; she is skilled at being stealthy, at using her daggers to strike from the shadows, and moving along high places quickly and dexterously. She is quite skilled at jumping and climbing; "parkour" would be an accurate description of how she moves. She knows how to blend into shadows. She is also accurate and quick in her knifework. Typically, she wields two daggers simultaneously. She is skilled at dodging and parrying with them, if she needs to do a head-on fight. ● Poisons: She also knows how to mix various basic poisons. She usually puts this on a knife, but could make a fairly amateurish poison to put in someone's food. She isn't skilled enough to make poisons that do more than make someone very sick (or kill them); she also has no magical or mystical component to her poisons.

If you would like to, please ask! I'm happy to work with you.. Sixth Astral Era Childhood Celise grew up in Ul'dah, the daughter of poor craftsmen who could barely make ends meet. She was orphaned in a fire that burnt down her family's home while she was aware from it. Afterward, she fled to the streets, and spent a week homeless and alone there. Ultimately, a rising young merchant named Monolimo Papomo found her. He took her in, but his rise in business and politics meant he needed a tool. He had her trained from a young age as his personal assassin: taught in the use of daggers, poisons, and stealth. This upbringing was hard. By age fourteen, Celise had participated in thefts, assisted in assassinations, and been treated mostly as a very expensive and prized tool by the man who wasn't her saviour, but her master. She came to deeply resent this. Seventh Umbral Era Adulthood This hard training continued and intensified after the Calamity, as Monolimo hoped to expand his fortunes. He began using her to do his dirty work, killing business rivals and sabotaging their mercantile efforts. She also murdered his father and brother, to insure his inheritance. She grew to hate Monolimo. She discovered that he was responsible for the fire that killed her parents, and that he bought her -- quite secretly and illegally -- from them as a slave. Then, to avoid paying them, he had their apartment burnt down. Six months ago, Monolimo met an untimely end. Officially, the family claimed that he died of an illness... but the funeral had a closed casket. The truth, of course, could be seen in Celise's bloody knives left near his corpse. Celise took off for Limsa Lominsa before questions could be asked of her. In Recent Times Moving Forward Celise arrived in Limsa Lominsa, where she has taken up work as a sellsword. She doesn't want to work as an assasin any longer. However, combat is what she knows, and this makes that prospect difficult. She has also taken up cooking, though she isn't very good at it. However, it reminds her of home and how her mother loved to cook.

RP Info RP Limits I like to consider myself a flexible player who is willing to commit to a number of different types of scenes and role-play scenarios, but even I have my limits. If something is on the play list, assume it means yes, as long as it's within the context of the current play or ongoing plot. No's are typically a hard no, and it means don't ask. ■ I will play slice-of-life, fight scenes, friendship, rivalry, and most other interactions. I love some good drama; I also love humor in my RP. I like to strike a balance between them. I always welcome walk-up RP; if I'm too busy, I'll let you know! ■ Ask about serious injury, major loss of character agency, mind control, and other heavy subjects or long-term effects. For romance, I'm open to it but want to see how it develops and coordinate as it does. I'd rather not leap into romantic RP after a single OOC conversation.
