General Information Leon Greystone is a Wildwood Elezen born to Count Edmont de Fortemps and an unknown mother in Ishgard. He has traveled most of Eorzea, and experienced many different lifestyles along the way. His journeys have given him insight to what many different walks of life may be like, and this has impacted his personality and philosophies immensely. On his travels, he enlisted in an Ul'dah based free company known as the Adventure League of Eorzea, where he met the majority of his friends and contacts outside of his homeland. As he grew older, he returned to Ishgard and resumed his responsibilities as a noble, while still maintaining his personal goal of expanding his knowledge to its limits and trying to leave Hydaelyn in a bit better shape than he had found it. ❝ Quote. ❞ Appearance Hair & Eyes Leon was born with blond hair, though as he aged it faded to black, similar to his mother. In his younger years, he preferred a shorter, neat hairstyle. Currently, he prefers to experiment with his hair at longer lengths, sometimes wearing it braided, but most frequently it is left down and free. As for his eyes, they are a shade similar to that of pure ice, however they give a warm and welcoming feeling if you are to ever meet his gaze. Physique & Markings Coming in at six fulms and eight ilms, Leon is much taller than the average Elezen male, though he makes up for this in weight, where he is only one hundred and eighty ponze, weighing slightly less than the average. He has no tattoos or piercings, though he does have a few minor scars. Most of which reside on his torso and back, though are not gruesome, or in most cases even noticeable. Hygiene & Attire Leon absolutely dreads being dirty, resulting in him frequently bathing and experimenting with various perfumes. His favorite scent to use being leather. The Elezen most often is seen wearing what could be considered the 'Ishgardian noble uniform', consisting of an elegant coat, a finely tailored pair of pants, and a fancy pair of walking boots. Personality Psychological Profile Leon belongs to the INFP group, or 'the mediator'. INFP personalities are true idealists, always looking for the hint of good in even the worst of people and events, searching for ways to make things better. While they may be perceived as calm, reserved, or even shy, INFPs have an inner flame and passion that can truly shine. Being a part of the Diplomat (NF) personality group, INFPs are guided by their principles, rather than by logic (Analysts), excitement (Explorers), or practicality (Sentinels). When deciding how to move forward, they will look to honor, beauty, morality and virtue – INFPs are led by the purity of their intent, not rewards and punishments. People who share the INFP personality type are proud of this quality, and rightly so, but not everyone understands the drive behind these feelings, and it can lead to isolation. At their best, these qualities enable INFPs to communicate deeply with others, easily speaking in metaphors and parables, and understanding and creating symbols to share their ideas. Voice Leon has a slightly-deeper-than-average silky smooth voice. He was taught to speak 'like a noble' at a very young age, resulting in his clear, fluid speech pattern and his broad vocabulary. Philosophy & Mannerisms Leon is an open-minded individual and willing to listen to anyone and everyone's opinion on any matter. He respects and cherishes free will and the right to choice, resulting in him finding it difficult to interject any strong opinions of his as he fears he may accidentally influence someone to make a choice they do not truly believe in. Most conversations with Leon about sensitive topics often are simply him asking rather open ended questions in which he tries to help the other person come to their own conclusion as opposed to simply stating his own beliefs. On the occasion he does voice his opinion, it is often stated that he is wise beyond his years and excellent at offering advice. Leon accredits this to having been able to experience the lifestyles of both rich and poor. Leon was heavily influenced in his philosophy by his half-brother Haurchefant Greystone and his dear friend Aymeric de Borel, and as a result can seem very similar to the two in his leadership style, his speech, and his opinions. He is proficient in organizing anything from small ambushes to large scale sieges. He has the potential to, in some cases, read his opponents to the point where he is able to predict multiple steps ahead. ● The Echo: The Echo is an ability that some rare individuals possess. Those that have been 'gifted' have the ability to resonate with other people's souls. This permits them to see their past, albeit not able to interfere or change it, as well as being able to speak every language in the world. As a side effect, the Echo also seems to prevent it's user from being tempered by the Primals. Disclaimer: This power is never used without explicit player permission in role-play. *** Combat Abilities ● Master Swordsman: Leon has devoted his life to the blade, and has practiced his craft everyday, twice a day since he was the age of ten. He is considered to be a master swordsman in both the one-handed and two-handed categories by his former instructors, as well as fellow master swordsmen throughout Eorzea. ● Martial Arts: His swordsmanship training and his martial arts training went hand-in-hand as a true master must be able to fight under any scenario. In the heat of battle, one may lose their blade and then cower, however, Leon is comfortable using his fists as a weapon. Though, he is not nearly as proficient in hand to hand combat as he is in swordplay. OOC Note I only participate in combat via /random, or various alterations of the previously mentioned method. I generally do not participate in player versus player RP combat unless it becomes necessary or beneficial to one or both participant's stories.
