General Information Lynx Fristelse was adopted by a Roegadyn Family when he was found during his adpoted grandfather's daily fishing. He has wandered the world seeking stories and tales of all manner to be shared with him. ❝ Every story is part of the same truth, they're all just told from different angles. ❞ Appearance Eyes Hair Skin Build Voice Blue, Cold steel Golden Blonde Fair Lean, small frame Husky, usually silent Bearing Laterality Scars Markings Style Easy-going Ambidextrous, right-handed preference two minor scars in the form of an x on the left cheek tribal war paint under eyes minimalist, relaxed Hair & Eyes Lynx's Hair is unkempt and windswept back in a fashion that can only be desribed as "just rolled out of bed and into the sea of clouds", His unruly hair usually covers at least one eye and is often fluffed out over his wooden mask. His eyes are muted dark blue, the color that one might find in an old steel that has not seen polishing in some time. While his eyes are dark and toned down in color, they are full of life, constantly scanning his surroundings for any inkling of trouble or an interesting tale. Physique & Markings Lynx is not particularly tall by most standards, at only five fulms and eight ilms. He is fairly lean for someone who is rarely seen during the daylight, leading one to wonder where he manages to amass any muscle at all. In his usual attire he is rarely perceived as a threat and looks closer to a starving street urchin; however, once he removes his garb, the well toned body rivaling his roegadyn counterparts is revealed. While not aged, it is apparent that Lynx has worked plenty of his life as either a field hand or a fisherman. He has very little body hair, and what he does have is fairly light, all save for a small beard which frames his chin. Hygiene & Attire Lynx is never shy when it comes to working hard and getting dirty in the process, and he prefers to sit and lie down in the grass and on the ground. His Clothing never manages to last very long, usually pocked with small rips and tears hinting at a life without much money. He is usually very clean given the conditions he finds himself in frequently, always bathing in a fresh creek or stream. He has a scent of the forest and fresh rain most often, if not he usually smells like the sea breezes he spends his life in. While his clothes change style from time to time, the man always wears a mask gifted to him as a child by an adventurer. He never removes his mask in public, only tilting the wooden facade enough to eat or drink before placing the mask back in its original position. Personality Psychological Profile Lynx has always been a quiet fellow, choosing instead to observe and listen instead of being the one speaking, unless the other party is unable or wishes him to speak. Early life was never easy for the Miqo'te as he was brought into an adoptive family against part of the families desire. Feeling constant resentment from his mother and sister, and a deep seeded abandonment from not knowing his birth parents and the condition of his discovery have lead him to feel unwanted. Though he has his issues from an early childhood it has never consumed him or been the forefront of his thoughts, instead he developed an almost instinctual feeling to wander the world and hear everyone's story. Lynx was often distracted by the scenery, landscape, culture, and peoples he comes across. Almost to his detriment the man could be found focused intently on something that interests him to the point one could easily sneak up behind him. However, his capture and detainment in Goal has since made him wary and where once he was lost in thought and rapture, he now usually keeps a vigilant watch over his surroundings and the people that approach him. He is still usually friendly once he has determined you will not bind him or rid him of the freedom he is so very fond of. Voice Like an old rocky road, Lynx's voice when first laid down sounds gravely but as he continues to speak it becomes a low rumble, soothing while still keeping ones attention. He is usually warm and welcoming, filled with laughter and cheer when telling a tale. Though he is usually silent, stoically watching behind his mask, when he begins to tell a good story he is soon caught up in the rapture and mirth. Philosophy & Mannerisms Lynx often gravitates toward the down trodden, having been through a great deal in his life he easily relates to anyone's woes and is quick to lend an ear or a shoulder to lean on. Every story is important to him, and he insists on this fact any time someone would tell him otherwise. While he often avoids conflict he is not an advocate for peace, instead believing that violence has a time and a place and that to deny it would be to deny a great harrowing tale. He has very few consistent mannerisms, the most notable being a dead giveaway to his Limsan upbringing in the form of the greeting "Ahoy" instead of "hello". He is usually wary of people but sometimes forgets any given threat once a story teller has begun spinning a yarn, he then becomes focused intently like a child. The only other time he lets his guard down in this manner is when presented with his favourite food, the Faerie Apple. I prefer Dice since It adds a bit of randomness and solidarity to the combat, but I am always open to do freeform, or "interrupt" style of RP combat, in that when an action is performed, a description of the effects it would have is included. It is then up to the other individual to defend against the action and/or mitigate the effects as they're described. Don't hesitate to send a /t if you have questions, or are uncertain about a specific action performed in a battle.

RP Limits I like to consider myself a flexible player who is willing to commit to a number of different types of scenes and role-play scenarios, but even I have my limits. If something is on the play list, assume it means yes, as long as it's within the context of the current play or ongoing plot. No's are typically a hard no, and it means don't ask. ■ I will play all RP themes from dark, serious and mature (violence, sexuality, torture, murder, conflict, drug / alcohol use) to the more light-hearted, humorous and simplistic, as long as it makes sense in the course of the RP. Plots that range from long-term to one-shots, elaborate and large-scale to minor and frivolous. Serious injury. Temporary injury and incapacitation. Temporary captivity or imprisonment. I'm always willing to do RP. ■ Lynx is usually found wandering around and often near the Gubal Library, he's quick to hide but will usually stick around to find out what you're all about. ■ He is very ingrained with the beast tribes and isn't unfamiliar with hunts, tribal challenges, and trials. ■ His love of Faerie Apples usually helps eliminate any wariness he might have of strangers, wave one in front of him and he's putty in your hands. ■ If you ever have a story to tell his focus will be fixed on you like you WERE the Faerie Apple.

OOC Notes Player Information Player Note There is a lot of information on this character wiki, but it is by no means completely comprehensive. There are chunks of backstory that are left intentionally vague so that details can be later added as developed through creative writing or in role-play revelation. Character Lore Adherence Everything concerning this character that has not been confirmed by in-game lore should be taken with a grain of salt. Character Concept Lynx is a wanderer who is not one of the Warriors of Light, he does not have the echo and does not have the strong connection to the aether that most Warriors of Light do. Instead Lynx travels to different cultures and learns from them, working hard to even come close to reaching the ability and prowess of the Warriors of Light in his own way. Though he tries to achieve a level close to theirs, he is in fact more interested in the stories the world has to share with him than trying to achieve self glory and fame.
