ಌ GENERAL INFORMATION ಌ

Hailing from the now frozen land of Coerthas and the Holy See of Ishgard,

Reinhold is a Knight Dragoon that has led a rather long life of conflict and

grief. Born of a noble family he had never wanted for much aside from

companionship and to make a difference which brought him to join the Temple

Knights when he was old enough to enlist. From there life became and endless

cycle for going from one battle to the next, resulting him in witnessing the

death of countless comrades and friends. Yet still the man pushes on despite

the effect this has had on him, and continues to present himself as an ever

calm and polite Knight. Most recently after a rather bizarre and nightmarish

set of events that stole nearly two years of his life, Reinhold has retired

himself from the Order of the Dragoon and the Temple Knights so as to handle

the affairs as Lord of House Allemand, and so he can pursue his interests with

the Pathfinders. After awhile of acting as a bodyguard for Madison Brookstone

and filling the unofficial role of a Company Officer, his position with the

company has become more official. Though difficult so far he has managed to

juggle the responsibilities of his House back in Ishgard and his duties as a

Pathfinders Vice Captain. As of late though with all that has happened within

the company he seems to be taken on more and more of the responsibilities of

leading the company as other leaders are forced to deal with events happening

around them.

ಌ APPEARANCE ಌ

Reinhold is on the tall side for most midlanders standing at just a little over 5 fulms and 11 ilms causing him at times when wearing Drachen Mail to be mistaken for an elezen. Due to his use of dragoon techniques Reinhold is always training physically causing him to be lean and muscular, this though is a bit lost on some due to the massive scarring across his body. Reinhold has a line of scars wrapping from the middle of his back to just under his rib cage from a dragon bite, scars from a wyvern's claw onhis left shoulder, a scar running from his right ear to his chin, and an almost unnoticeable puncture scar on his right thigh. He keeps most of his scars covered at all times, and even hides the one on his face by keeping his snow white hair long and messy. For the most part he keeps his face rather neat, not allowing his white facial hair to grow out too long and is constantly kept clean. All this added in with his deep blue eyes give many trouble in trying to determine how old he is since otherwise he looks rather youthful despite the white hair.

ಌ PERSONALITY ಌ

Reinhold at times can be described as disgustingly polite. Always a gentleman first above all else he remains kind and courteous to most except those who have earned his ire. True to his knightly ways he is quick to intervene on the behalf of another and never lets those around him be insulted or slighted in his presence. While not quick to trust Reinhold does have an unwavering loyalty to those who have earned it, putting his loyalty to them normally above that of even his home. Perhaps the least flexible part of his personality though is his views on corruption and deciet. Always at odds with the other Nobles in Ishgard Reinhold views those who opearate in the shadows and better themselves at the expense of others as probably some of the worst mankind has to offer. So while not the most perfect of Knights, he is definitely in a class of his own.

L I K E S ■ Music. Reinhold adores music and reveres it as a form of expression. Quick to bring out his flute and play a quick and light melody he finds it to be most relaxing. In addition to being able to play the flute in styles found in both Ishgard and Gridania he can also play the guitar with a decent level of skill and sing. ■ Training. To Reinhold one most always be prepared for everything. While it is an outlook born from fighting on the front lines for nearly twenty years he still keeps it up even today. He can often be found sparring in the Pathfinder's dojo, doing physical exercises on the roof, or out meditating on a cliff over the sea. In addition to his own training he has taken on training others as well. ■ Literature. Having been raised in a noble house hold Reinhold not only of course learned to read and write but developed a fondness for the written works of Eorzea. From written poetry to stirring tales of dreams brought to paper all the way to texts on the history of Hydalen. He reads them all and keeps a rather impressive collection around him normally. ■ Drinking. While not a heavy drinker Reinhold does enjoy drinking socially, though unless engaged in one of Eaubront's infamous drinking games he normally sticks to drinking a glass of red wine. ■ Tea. For Reinhold there is nothing more relaxing then a nice cup of hot Ishgardian tea. He is almost always seen drinking several glasses of it a day, even if he no longer lives in a cold climate. ■ Scenery. Having spent many years jumping into the sky towards danger, Reinhold has an appreciation for many of the sights that can be seen. Though he normally appreciates them more from rather insane heights. ■ Flying. Reinhold feels more at home in the air then he does with his feet on the ground. This is only furthere by the fact that traveling by aetheryte makes him sick, thus he travels by airship, his black chocobo, or just by jumping to cover distances. Granted the latter is only used for short range travel.	D I S L I K E S ■ Class Ranking. Despite Reindhold's upbringing in a noble family he has a great distaste for his fellow nobles and their holier than thou attitude. Reinhold would rather see the class system abolished and for all to be equal, not surprising with most of his friends being from outside the Pillars. A system that preys upon the week for the self entitled is one that should burn in his eyes. ■ Politics. Reinhold hates anything that deals with politics. The constant scheming and lying that is done in the course of political activities leaves a bitter taste in his mouth and his hand itch for a dagger. He never once trusts a single thing a politician tells him on principle alone. ■ Greed. Money means absolutely nothing to Reinhold. He has always had more than he could ever concievably know what to do with. Yet despite this fact Reinhold dislikes anyone who hoards money or sacrifices the well being of others to get it. This is probably seen even more in his eagerness to spend his wealth on others. Whether they be friends, lovers, or strangers in need he will do everything to undermine those whose lust for money brings harm to the less fortunate. ■ Gossip. If there is one thing in this world that Reinhold will never understand it is the need to Gossip. The fact that whatever he does or whomever he spends time with becomes the center of discussion for those around irritates him to no end. ■ Ul'dah. Reinhold's dislike of the City-state of Ul'dah has several layers to it. The first off is an overall dislike of Thanalan itself and its hot and dry climate. The second is the corruption and illegal activities that thrive in Ul'dah. The fact that the black market and slave running continues unchecked and even encouraged by the Syndicate causes him no small amount of disgust. Lastly there is the fact that everytime he sets foot within 10 fulms of the Quicksand he is greeted with some level of nudity or perversion. Truly to him the place should just burn.	H O B B I E S ■ Playing Music. Reinhold is constantly seen playing his flute at all hours of the day. ■ Sparring. While he always holds back for fear of causing harm to any that faces him he does still enjoy it. ■ Jumping. Born from his years of training Reinhold thoroughly enjoys jumping to unheard of heights and lounging where birds alone may.
S T R E N G T H S ■ Experienced. Having trained with a lance since he was a child and with nearly twenty years of active service in the Temple Knights Reinhold's experience pays off in many ways. This allows him to be prepared for many different situations and keeps his calm at all times. ■ Rage. Reinhold's greatest weakness is also his greatest strength. Due to the nature of how he keeps his emotions in check it often causes him to hold back at times.Yet when he lets go of his emotions he taps into his full potential without hesitation. ■ Dragoon. Reinhold was entrusted with the Soul of a Dragoon by the Holy See and is able to tap into the knowledge it contains. It is because of this that he is able to utilize the full range of techniques displayed by veteran dragoons.	W E A K N E S S E S ■ Rage. As stated before his greatest strength is his greatest weakness. When he gives into his rage he begins to lose himself to it causing him to become increasingly reckless and forgetting any form of defense. ■ Knight. Due to his demeanor as a Knight Reinhold is known to sacrifice himself for the safety of others. During battle this causes him to disengage from a fight to put himself between those around him and danger, even if it costs him his life. ■ Aether Incompetence. Reinhold himself has a rather large aether pool, but no way to actually control it. He relies purely on instinct and emotion to allow his aether to flow properly for use. This of course means he is constantly losing control of his aether due to his emotions getting out of hand at times.	M O T I V A T I O N S ■ Everyone deserves a life - To Reinhold there is no greater gift than his strength at arms. It is with this strength that he is constantly doing whatever he can to help those who were not as fortunate as him. Whether it is defending those who cannot defend themselves or putting his wealth to give them a better life. Nothing will stop him from doing thus as he believes it is the only reason he has managed to stay alive so long. Reinhold's father Trygil led the Allemand family from the age of 19 until recently when illness forced him to step down in favor of his son at the age of 59. He was a strict father that always pushed Reinhold to his best, but was always critical of Reinhold's choice to enter the service of the Temple Knights and later the Order of the Dragoon. His opinion was that Reinhold should focus more on the family and settle down with a wife of his own, but was forced to watch as his son put his life on the line constantly while not seeing him take much interest in the women of the Pillars. Now at the age of 62 his illness has almost completely robbed him of his life and currently lives in the estate not leaving his room. Lord Trygil passed away during an arson attack on the family estate on the 13th Sun of the of the Fifth Astral Moon in the the Seventh year of the seventh Astral Era. style="vertical-align: middle; text-align: left;" Emilie Allemand , Mother. ( ♥✝ ) - Mother. Character's Thoughts: "I will miss her warmth most of all." Reinhold's mother was far more caring than his father, and encouraged him where his father disapproved. Even when during his musical studies he showed an interest in the flute, more specifically music from outside of Ishgard, she did not stop him in fact she hired someone to teach him and offered them to stay within the Holy See as a Ward of the family. Even when he left to do what she thought was the unthinkable, she never once told him to stop, but instead told him to follow where ever his heart desired. Now at the age of 61 she currently spends most of her time caring for her husband with his illness and is rarely seen. Lady Emilie passed away during an arson attack on the family estate on the 13th Sun of the of the Fifth Astral Moon in the the Seventh year of the seventh Astral Era. style="vertical-align: middle; text-align: left;" Ebraux Pidame , Guardian. ( ♥✝ ) - Guardian. Character's Thoughts: "Closer than a friend, better than a Father. I will miss his guidance." Ebraux is Reinhold's manservant, and more importantly a father figure. Ebraux was assigned to Reinhold not long after the lord's birth, and thus Ebraux had a very influential hand in raising the man. Like Reinhold's mother Ebraux was always very supportive of his lord, and grew to become quite proud of the man he was becoming. Ebraux's never wavering support through the years has always been a source of strength for Reinhold, especially amidst his father's negativity. During Reinhold's absent Ebraux stepped up to ensure that very few knew of his disappearance and ran the day to day aspects of the family. Ebraux's only worry about his lord is his apparent loneliness, not one to take well to the way most women of the pillars are, and has grown increasingly worried as his charge gets older still with no sign of settling down. Yet he was not remiss when he saw his lord's affection for one who recently helped him and his done much to encourage Reinhold forward. Ebraux passed away during an arson attack on the family estate on the 13th Sun of the of the Fifth Astral Moon in the the Seventh year of the seventh Astral Era. style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; width: 100%; text-align: left; vertical-align: left;" NON-FAMILY style="vertical-align: middle; text-align: left;" Eddard Holt. ( ✖ ) - The Rogue Pathfinder Character's Thoughts: "He has always tried to act like he had the better standing, and yet I believe he is just trying to hide something." During Reinhold's time in Eorzea Unexplored his initial encounters with Eddard were hostile and involved kidnapping the man. Yet now free of the control that had forced him to do such things the relationship between the two can be described as tense, and that is putting it lightly. Though there is a form of grudging respect between the two for their martial skill, they remain at odds at each other for many reasons. As of late that has been seen even more as Reinhold is suspect of the man's activities, most notably his recent outburst and the connection to the man who set Lady Madison's rooms ablaze. August Update: With Eddard's betrayal Reinhold is now more convinced than ever that the man is most likely going to be their undoing. While he has given his word to not go looking for the man he will not hesitate to cut him down should have happen upon him. style="vertical-align: middle; text-align: left;" Madison Brookstone. ( ♦♥$ ) - Sworn Charge Character's Thoughts: "Despite what many may think she has a shrewd way of looking at things. One must never underestimate her." Since her drive to free Reinhold from the control that held in thrall for two years Reinhold has remained grateful to the woman for all that she has done for him. Steadily through his interactions though he has started to fall for her despite the complications that has caused. To those who see them interact, which is quiet often as they are very rarely seen apart, one begins to wonder if there is not more between them than that of a Knight and his charge. Yet if anyone confronts him on such things he deflects the conversation or plainly states its no ones business but his own. As of late though something seems to have come between the two as Madison is never seen anymore and any mention of her around Reinhold only causes him to look pained and angry. Even more noticeable is that the bracelet he always wore marked with the sign of the Spinner, that appeared on him when he nearly fell during the fight with Eorzea Unexplored, is no longer being worn by him. style="vertical-align: middle; text-align: left;" Abagail Graves. ( $♥ ) - The Medicus Character's Thoughts: "She's reserved and slow to trust, but I could not imagine more capable hand in which I would entrust my own life." One of the newest recruits to the Pathfinders, and a very recent acquaintance of Reinhold, Abagail has managed to secure the knight's trust. After a period of poking and prodding Reinhold finally managed to learn the secret he knew she kept. Yet even finding out about her past and her identity as a Garlean has done nothing to change his opinion of the woman. To him she is still a trusted physician, and now a close and trusted friend. Even with his moment of telling her secret to someone without her permission, while he believed he did the right thing he still felt terrible and guilty about it. Now the two seem quite lose, often sharing each others company, though Abagail has developed this extreme need to make the man uncomfortable and blush. Still she is one of the few he will turn to when things are going poorly, whether to vent, get ideas, or just release tension with one of their extremely reckless and dangerous spars. Most recently though he has begun to realize that through her constant need to see him smile and be happy that he has developed something for her. He doesn't know what just yet and is still confused with all that is going on, but one thing is for certain they are indeed growing closer. September Update: Having worked through the confusion after he realized what he was feeling Reinhold made it clear to her that he wanted to be with her. Though not in a rush for anything more serious just yet, he has shown no difficulty in saying how he feels to others. Even if the announcement of it was in response to a dare. style="vertical-align: middle; text-align: left;" Zigovali Rigovali. ( $✖ ) - The Con Artist Character's Thoughts: "I dislike his methods despite the results. No good can ever come from taking advantage of others." The initial relationship between Reinhold and Zigovali was without a doubt strained. The man held a grudge at first against Reinhold for his actions when he was acting under an alias and under an influence he could not control. Yet over the course of Reinhold's presence with the Pathfinders the two have come to a better understanding with one another. While it cannot be said that things are always positive between them they do, for the most part, have a positive working relationship. Each seeking the other out with assistance for things in areas not of their forte. September Update: Reinhold personally still feels that the Pathfinders are better off without those that use the methods that Zigo utilizes. While they can remain cordial to one another he has openly stated his distaste for what the man dabbles in, though it was not willingly. style="vertical-align: middle; text-align: left;" Ehfi Rhinsu. ( $♥ ) - The Healer Character's Thoughts: "She speaks in such a calm and soothing manner that you would not expect some of the things that come from her." Ehfi is a hard one for Reinhold to get a read on which almost always leads to him getting in trouble. He respects her abilities and her willingness to help without fail, but he has also seen the firmer and darker side of her. Having witnesses her unflinching reaction to his torture of a captured slaver as well as her demeanor when Abagail and he became far too reckless with their spars he knows not only can she take care of herself, but those that upset her should probably get away quickly. style="vertical-align: middle; text-align: left;" Jin Karasu. ( $ ) - The Enforcer Character's Thoughts: "I remain cautious of the man due to his past, but there is no doubting that he can be relied on." Yet another Pathfinder he had a rocky start with both Jin and Reinhold are seemingly quite comfortable working with each other, and to some may start seeming more like friends. For his part Reinhold respects the Xaela and his abilities greatly, and agrees with many of his assumptions on how things should be handled. style="vertical-align: middle; text-align: left;" Himeko Hasegawa. ( ♦$ ) - The Overworked Character's Thoughts: "I worry for her, she is always working and never seen very often out of the Workshop. I wish she would get out a bit more." One of the few Pathfinders he had little issues getting along with right away Reinhold easily counts Miss Himeko as a friend as well as an ally. He finds no issues speaking with her, nor with being blunt as is his way for the most part. He also is quite appreciative of the fact that she is one of the few that is not constantly hounding him on whether or not there is something between him and Lady Madison, making him trust her even more. If he were to say there was anything he would take issue with in regards to her it would be her need to seemingly constantly overwork herself. With her recent issues of realizing that her appearance as a Raen was nothing more than a glamour, one broken by her brother, he spared no effort to convince her to remain with the Pathfinders. The now hyuran Sharlayan still holds a place of trust with him and he wishes she would take his advice and go on a vacation. To him she /really/ needs it. style="vertical-align: middle; text-align: left;" Keigan Forgefists. ( $) - The Mechanic Character's Thoughts: "While he could use a few years of instruction in proper manners his heart seems to be in the right place." Garbaatan is a tribalisk Auri that Abelia happened across one day in the snows of Western Coerthas. The Auri had been badly injured and seemed to have been hunted by what looked to be Garleans or perhaps people posing as them. She could not tell for sure but she did see him finish them off with what abilities he had before collapsing in the snow due to his injuries. Being a mender she wished to assist but soon got more then she bargained for. After tending to his wounds and placing him in fresh bandages, the Auri pledged his life to protecting her for her selfless act. At first she thought nothing of it as it often never went past basic wording but she began to notice during her travels an odd figure seeming to appear in the distance. She felt followed and soon began to try and go in groups for safety. It would be Garb catching up to her and making himself known of his intentions. Instead of keeping his distance and watching over her he now plants himself close to her and finds the simplest things a danger. Never before had she seen someone growl at tea and stating 'digesting is not punishment enough' after burning one's tongue on it. She is completely unsure of this Auri and everything about him. She is very wary and already mentally tired from having to keep him from destroying things as well as getting him to understand the ideal of privacy when she wishes to bathe. Update as of August: Garbaatan and Abelia have split ways. Garbaatan had heard rumors of his wife and child from Othard surviving the Garlean attack and begged for Abby to let him free of his life debt. Not one to hold anything over anyone she released him and let him off on his own. She will always have a place for him in her heart but she now has nothing to hold her down. style="vertical-align: middle; text-align: left;" Eaubront Shopont. ( $ ) - The Drink Master Character's Thoughts: "He may be good with a blade, but one day his insatiable thirst for alcohol will get him in trouble." Of all the things that Reinhold has learned of Eaubront it is that the man loves his drinking games. Any time there seems to be a gathering of Pathfinders he is certain you can find Eaubront in the middle of it supporting the idea of a drinking game, often times with a drink already in hand. Otherwise Reinhold respects him to a degree and even was surprised by the man's martial prowess, not thinking much of him at first. Still there are times he finds it difficult to take him seriously, but then again when one is following through on a dare to kiss a man he dislikes, or sleeping with a brothel worker in the middle of a mission it's not hard to see why that is.
