Left handed. Many scars crossing almost the whole front of her body. Black stripe tattoos on her face. Practical mostly, occasionally elegant. Tends to show a lot of skin when not fighting. Hair & Eyes Eaulbine has deep brown eyes that sparkle with a hidden mirth. In battle, they grow more calculating, but the inner laughter is still there, as if the fight is a dance or a game. Her thickly curled brown and red hair is currently styled in a large afro. Despite her leaps and turns in battle, she take good enough care of her hair that it barely moves and certainly doesn't get in her way. Physique & Markings Eaulbine is best compared to a tree: steadfast, strong, and tall. She is incredibly well muscled, as you must be to wear armor and wield a sword and shield. Her only markings, besides her numerous scars, are her black stripe tattoos on her face, some of which are obscured by her hair. Hygiene & Attire Eaulbine bathes as often as possible. You would not think her for an adventurer, but for the dirt that seems to constantly live under her nails. In battle, she is in full plate, with no part of her body but her head exposed (afros don't fit in helmets particularly well). When she is not in battle, she tends to wear loose fitting silks that do not cover a lot of skin. Personality Psychological Profile Eaulbine doesn't smile much. She's not stoic necessarily, she just doesn't show happiness well. Still, if you look in her eyes, Eaulbine is very expressive. Though her face says guarded warrior, her eyes dance as if always being told a joke. On the battlefield, she turns into a hurricane of force and grit. The joke is over, and a guardian emerges. She is fierce in defense of her friends, allies, and the smallfolk. Voice Her voice is rich and cool, like sticking your hands in cold dark soil on a hot summer day. Eaulbine picks her words carefully, and does not rush to speak. However, she became Deaf during the Calamity, and her voice is more muted and slurred. Philosophy & Mannerisms Eaulbine is a protector above all else. Though her official title would be "mercenary," but she does not work in the shadier side of the business. Instead, most of her work is hunting monsters that are bothering folk, or guarding trading caravans. Eaulbine does not fidget, but does sway slightly side to side when standing still. OOC Note Eaulbine is mostly deaf, and thus has a hard time with enemies sneaking up behind her.

History . Disclaimer: . Sixth Astral Era Childhood Eaulbine was born and raised in Ul'dah, the daughter of an alchemist father and a Sultansworn mother. She was highly educated in the sciences and arts, particularly in dance, but took up the sword early on as well. She entered the Gladiator's Guild at the age of 17. For a while, she fought for money in the arena, but decided the lifestyle was not for her. Thus, she took to the road as a guard for Ul'dahn traders. The Calamity happened when she was 22, away from home. Eaulbine took a knock to the head that rendered her mostly deaf. Seventh Umbral Era Adulthood Post-Calamity, she continued her word as a guard, though it became significantly harder. She had to learn new fighting styles that would accommodate and make up for her deafness. Unlike most warriors, who would feel trapped, Eaulbine will purposefully back herself against a wall, that she might not have an enemy sneak up behind her. Now she travels Eorzea, doing odd jobs as a protector and monster slayer. In Recent Times Moving Forward .
