Nevili's most jarring trait is her rose pink eyes contrasting against her dark skin, and silver hair that ages her significantly. She's small but surprisingly muscular, being built like a gymnast and having thighs that can crush a watermelon. She's self-conscious about her gigantic tail. Scars & Markings: On her neck, a superficial scar that runs across the middle, below her chin, left by a very specific someone. On her chest, a large scar starting at her left shoulder, going across her entire breast and wrapping around to her lower right ribs. On her back, starting at the nape of her neck, are circular patterned scars evenly spaced down her back to the base of her tail. On her wrists and ankles, loose scars where she was bound with rope or tight shackles. Smaller, insignificant scars otherwise pepper her entire body. Voice: Soft, lilting - very much at odds with her aggressive personality. Clothing: Whatever fits, honestly. Nevili habitually 'borrows' the clothes of friends, or buys clothes secondhand. She's very apathetic about fashion, only caring about having high quality armor. --- tl;dr: A friendly cinnamon roll that will still gut you like a fish, and laugh about it, if you let her. Friendly, but aggressive - she's very unawares that a 'friendly punch' is still a punch. Very much an extrovert, much to the chagrin of anyone who enjoys alone time and quiet. A workaholic, Nevili runs hot all the time, always finding something to keep her mind busy, often to the point of running on very little sleep. When she's forced to sit still, she quickly grows broody and impatient. A natural fighter, she often challenges acquaintances to duels or sparring matches, seeing combat as the quickest and most effective way to get to know the depths an individual's character. While Nevili is very outgoing, much of it is superficial: she often shies away from growing too close to people, keeping them at arm's length. And she lies about her past, much to the chagrin of those who try to keep tabs on her. This is at odds with the fact that Nevili is a caring, emphatic person that wants others to trust her, despite the fact that she often gives no stable grounds to believe so. Her inability to really care for herself just makes this worse. She often forgets names and faces, but hey, with how big Eorzea is, who has time to remember everyone you meet? Likes Drinking Brawling, sparring, training, glorious combat Woodworking, or anything she can do to keep her hands busy Dislikes Ishgardian nobility, and their ugly frilly collars. Sleeping, or being idle for long periods of time. Mun-tuy beans, so she low-key starves while in Gridania. Fears Her amnesia: a mix of retrograde and anterograde, it has eaten away a significant portion of her past, and inhibits her from having a fulfilling life. Those with the Echo: after a traumatic encounter with an Echo wielder, Nevili tries to stay as far away from them as possible, and is known to reject friends should they reveal themselves to be 'blessed' with this power. Tight, enclosed spaces - Nevili has claustrophobia, and so often prefers to be outdoors as much as possible. NPC Dorji the Red (♥✖) ( NPC ) - Father Nevili's father - a warrior who left the Mol after he was exiled for murdering an unarmed sheep rustler. Driven by a strong sense of misunderstood justice, he wandered the Steppe for several days before encountering and dueling with a female Dotharli lancer for a day and a night. Reaching a stalemate, they ended up getting married instead of trying to kill each other again. Dorji was, outside of his bloodthirst in combat, a relatively kind man that just wanted to provide for his children as best he could. He died from an infected wound, praying for the Mol gods to forgive his sins. Khulan Shrikeheart (♥ ✖) ( NPC ) - Mother Nevili's mother - a lancer that was feared across the Steppe for her brutal nature. Khulan was near emotionless, but found that the duel she had with a lone Mol warrior set her heart racing, and she demanded the man become her husband. Khulan, however, wasn't really all that fit for motherhood. While she cared for her children, it was in a very distant, rough way. Khulan taught Nevili to be a brutal fighter, believing this would protect her better than words or diplomacy. She perished in a distant Nadaam, claiming victory for the Dotharl at the cost of her life. Otgon Dotharl (♥) ( NPC ) - Little Brother Nevili's younger brother, who grew up to become a Conjurer, much to his father's pride and his mother's annoyance. Having injured himself at a young age, he became dependent on Nevili to protect him until he was able to stand on his own again. The siblings were incredibly close, so the disappearance of Nevili has embittered Otgon. Rumour has it that with the liberation of Doma, he's embarked on a mission to go find out what became of his elder sister once and for all. PC Nah Nh'yah (♦♠) ( PC ) - A Miqo'te Thief A dear friend, who Nevili grew close to during their time imprisoned and indebted to a cruel kingpin of a consortium. While they're both now free of this bastard's influence, their friendship has become rocky, and Nevili has doubts forming about the true depths of Nah's character. She still, however, is determined to be there for him, although that doesn't seem to be helping very much... Some of these rumors are untrue, speculation, or are greatly exaggerated. She has suffered serious brain damage, with the amnesia stemming from physical trauma. ■Most of her past memories stop in her late teens, leaving about a rather large gap before her memory 'picks up' again with her essentially waking up in Eorzea. Secondhand evidence has provided that she spent some time in a catatonic state, and was broken out of catatonia by a very traumatic interaction with an Echo Wielder from the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. ■While Nevili is slowly improving her short term memory, her alcoholism and refusal to sleep complicates this. Nevili is aware of her condition, and often feigns remembrance when encountering people she's met before but forgot. She is far more likely to remember people she has fought with, or fought alongside. Going into a deep, restful sleep can make her forget up to several days at a time, which is something she has picked up on. Furthermore, random triggers do cause memories from her past to sporadically show up, like hearing a morin khuur or fighting against Garlean magitek. Her overall mental state is a little fragile, and she's rightfully fearful in being too trusting of others. ■Unfortunately, this mistrust doesn't apply to people she believes have proven themselves to be friends. To her allies, she can be trusting to the point of being childishly naive, and while she can usually brute force her way out of trouble, Nevili lacks the wits necessary to keep herself safe from more cunning, Machiavellian types. ■Due to being aware of her amnesia, Nevili struggles to oppress any romantic feelings she may develop for others. This isn't always successful, and she's already broken several hearts. She feels immense guilt, believing that whoever chooses to be with her is wasting their time.
